I think I'd personally rather go for the Polybrute, though I'm curious how much we'll see this keyboard on stages in the future

I like Arturia products. They could have made a normal display instead of the weird display ball, but three times bigger. The size of a smartphone, for example. That would be brilliant. Regards

Not V Collection inside - Analog Lab Pro inside. In fact, Pigments, inside of Analog Lab, so if you want all of Pigments, you would still need to buy it and would still need to Tweak things, in Pigments and then save your preset - then move it over. The ball is really weird - why does their app work better than this screen - aka - they should have had something the size of a phone, as the screen. For $1600 - no balls please - We need screen real estate! This is more of a preset player, than a synth. It's actually a cool idea, for those that do not want to tweak and just play presets.

what do you think will happen with that display in 2 or 5 years ? yep you guessed it already and not sure arturia has spare parts when it will happens ...

it's very well built, sturdy. Try to test one if you can. In the worst scenario, you would still have access using phone or tablet, the app should evolved for the time being.

Why should I buy à synth that is vst dépended ? What if in 10 years there is no update for it and would no longer work with daws in 10 years or more ? I have synths over 34 years and do not need a vst for it to play, just a sequencer

@@SebastianSnoeck Nobody is forcing you to buy it Sebastian. It's not like you are buying a box and you don't know what's inside. Buy it for what is and the most important for what it does now. More, since astrolab is standalone is surely not vst dependent, you could buy it now and never update it that it would still work in ten years, like any other synth.

Someone at Arturia, how can we sell more plugins?
Someone else at Arturia, why don't we make a hardware keyboard that plays presets that can't be edited unless they buy the appropriate plugin.
Someone else at Arturia, sounds like a win win to me $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    No mpe No bye..😂🤦
There is still so much space left...and then such a small display

thanks for the input. the display choice is due to its special nature. It's a screen, a 4-way button and a rotary knob.

@@synthanatomy oh. My bad. I quickly took a peak at their website and saw 1999. But you are right, everyone selling these for 1,599. For me, that’s probably still too much. But it’s a bit more compelling.

A failure for Arturia these will go in deep sales within a year. A thermostat size screen and you have to buy the VSTs it’s a glorified midi controller. Don’t fall for this media hype of a device.
