They started putting bottle openers on lights? We're doomed!
Lights were the only thing free of bottle openers...
@@DanielDan-rg9zw haha the good ol days are long gone.
This is a solid pickup, I'm still a little blown away it came from Ace. I find something here and there at my local Ace but would've never thought I could find everything to put together a complete edc.
Good job again.
@@geraldroberts4721 thank you sir ✊🏽 you and I are both amazed. Before we left I told the wife this might be our worst haul yet. Man was I wrong!
@NotYourGrandpasEDC As you were making your selections, I was seeing alot of cool stuff my Ace doesn't carry. I could only assume what a person could put together with a higher budget. For those that think your flashlight selection doesn't have enough lumens, my edc flaslight has 45 lumens (I think) and it's plenty for bumbling around the house in the morning and finding the lock on my truck while half asleep. That pen you chose is now on my radar too.
Solid content, thanks for sharing.
@@geraldroberts4721 oh ya, I’m sorry to hear your selection isn’t as good. Hopefully they’ll expand their selection in all stores. I imagine at some point we’ll do a higher budget version as well.
I love these hauls! Little does my wife know we now have a date at ace hardware.
@@PrepWithPOP oh lord 😂 well don’t tell my wife, but I think that’s the perfect date
60 lumens for a flashlight isn't bad. I served in the Marine Corps 2000-2004, and I carried a SureFire that produced 65 lumens with 2 CR123 batteries. Outdated by today's standards, but it was high tech at the time.
@@williamsisk2897 65 lumens?!? You won’t hear me complain again about these lights 😂 it definitely gets the job done. Thank you for your service
@NotYourGrandpasEDC I carried a SureFire Z2 Combat. It was advertised as being issued to the FBI. As purchased, it gave 65 lumens with a 60 minute run time. But the reflector could be replaced with a high output bulb that pushed 120 lumens with a 20 minute run time.
Love the video man. Just discovering your channel but I’m definitely here to stay. Keep up the good work!!!
@@JoshuaLevesque-q2m thank you very much ✊🏽 I’ll keep em coming
Man i was scrolling through yt until i found ur channel, and something from gives that other bug channels dont, i been loving your vids and reviews,
@@obedjuarez7791 thank you very much 🙏🏽 I hope to be able to continue putting out videos you guys enjoy.
I dont know if you have any in your area, but I've found that Ross (Yes, Ross Dress for Less) has a little tool section. I have come across basically everything on your list for these videos, but its mostly luck of the draw to see what each store has.
Every now and then, you can find name brand stuff that is put on discount due to rebranding or whatever it may be. I've seen Klein Tools, Stanley, and Irwin. Its become my new place to peruse every now and then.
I think if you get a chance, it would be cool to see what you can find. That would be a curveball to this video series for sure
@@mattalorian13 you may be onto something genius here 👀 we try to get stores that are accessible in the U.S. tractor supply has them beat by a little less than 1k stores. But I like the idea and next time we’re in there it may just have to happen 👍🏽
Nice haul!
Try using the key chain bottle opener as an L handle on the flats of the screwdrivers?? Also I carry the coast 100 lumen with single AAA, works great 👍
@@heath19751996 that actually might work 🤔 I wonder why more people don’t use coast.
Nice haul. I've not seen the Coast multi-tool. Pretty nifty.
@@PacManSavvy thank you sir, I was surprised not many reviews out on it. Solid tool
Very handy edc items nice video keep them coming
@@starwarsfan7180 happy you like them brother and you got it ✊🏽
"ACE is the place that's slightly better than Harbor Freight" would be a great jingle for them, in terms of EDC tools.
@@mikececconi2677 haha my wife said something very similar
The Milwaukee tradesman is the Ozark of fixed blades
@@jackberdine fair assessment 👌🏽
Fantastic looking edc
@@jasonbeecher509 thank you sir ✊🏽
Decent ACE hardware where's that one located? Nice haul
Like the multi tool what was the price on it I don’t think you said or I missed it
@@sittingduck1872 my apologies! 29.99 before the discount. Ended up at 23.99 for their sale.
You going to use that Milwaukee knife after this review? Lol asking for a friend
@@MonumentHeatandAirLLC 😂 tell your friend to like and subscribe and he might be able to win it
At this point I’m “friend”
@@PrepWithPOP 😂
I used to work at one also. They was not the cheapest ❤
@@rankinjeffries2872 I remember that being the case too but man did they surprise me.
I wish that pen was metal.
@@michaelwatson7298 you and i both. I thought it was until we got home and I got a better feel of it.
I have no use for carrying those bits everyday or a pen. don't use bits even once a month. what a person need to carry daily depends on the person lifestyle and location. no one size fits all except for a couple basics like a knife.
@@standingbear998 correct, that’s why I explain that my goal is to replace my 5 tools and to help others see what’s out there.
