I took a Thai A280 business class in 20016, The food was even better as there were a couple of choices and a range of all -day dining. There was a dedicated stewardess to look after me. She knew my name and I learned hers. It was my best ever flight and unfortunately after one on BA 20018, that was the last.

I always love my flights with Thai, not because they have the best product but mainly due to the friendliness of their staff.

lovely to have a neat little end to end video of the flight and facilities in only 11'30-min and as someone has already pointed out a very effective presentation style for this kind of video - interesting for us economy people but without wallowing and flaunting all the convenience and opulence and trimmings ad infinitum - enough here to show us the overall impression of how Thai treats its Buzzy class passengers plus nice swift transition through airport too

Christopher Houghton I have flown buisness class and the occasional first class for 15 years all over the world. I have been blessed and lucky. I was on the 1st A380 Singapore airlines flight to Lhr amazing experience. I'm flying this airline in November it's always a great experience. Once you fly buisness class you never go back to cattle class that I can assure you. Try it you won't be disappointed

My second favourite airline after Air NZ.
I did the same trip on THAI in biz class last Christmas - you seemed to have enjoyed it more than I did - my experience was the crews in both directions weren't friendly - just going through the motions.The free wifi card didn't work at all and the THAI lounges at Suvarnabhumi were very overcrowded. I do agree the food is good - especially the Thai tasting menu and the seat is quite comfortable. If you do this trip again I'd recommend using the Singapore Airlines lounge at Heathrow - it's nicer and quieter than the AA lounge. Overall, I've found Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia offer better service in business class especially on long-haul flights.
Thanks for the comment Andy. I agree with you about the WiFi and about their lounge in Bangkok, it is a disaster. The first class lounge is great though. The window seats on the A380 have great space, the middle ones didn’t look as good. I will certainly try more airlines in the area in the near future. I’ve also been to the SA lounge at Heathrow and I agree that the food is better but it’s probably more crowded!

I have been flying with Thai airways now for approx 30 years. But IMHO the food and service has gone south big time. Will change airline to Finnair or Emirates from now on.

I have NEVER seen the plane door close and the passenger had to knock. This is crazy.

Over the years Thai's overall product both soft and hard has always lacked consistency. That's the reason they never will reach the level of EVA or Singapore. That said if you can get a good price or mileage award it's something to consider.
Remember, if you want the 747 you will probably need to do BKK-SYD

I think the airline has had financial problems and decided to cut some routes that didn’t bring enough income. Something like that...
ok like like example flight from bangkok to new york it means they dont have enpugh passengers going to new york?
Not sure exactly what the problem was but the route was not making them a lot of profit

Jason, the ticket was booked with miles as I have gold star alliance status and I collect miles. I paid the taxes only which for Heathrow were a bit less than £100 if I remember well
Does Thai Airways give you a fast track pass through customs?
I was connecting to a flight to Singapore so I cannot really tell as I didn’t go through customs in Thailand. No one offered me a pass though from what I remember, only a landing card which I didn’t use
You can use your Boarding pass to pass through the fast track immigration counter in Bangkok.

Personally, the seat looks really old
I agree with you, although these planes are about 5 years old they had some obvious signs of wear and tear already. The hard product of Thai is not the best in the market but the friendliness and effectiveness of their staff puts them very high in the list in my opinion

The plane and cabin sucks for biz class. Just in right now .... fringed seats, weird smell.... not premium at all...

OMG United lounge? Well thats the only good thing regarding united airlines,Iwhich is a truly ghetto airline......but Thai is very good,dont compare it with united!! Remember this...even if you pay for a seat in a united flight....they can kick you out of the plane!
Henry thanks for the comment. I haven’t been on United yet but it’s planned for the next few months. I have certainly heard a lot about them and seen quite a few reviews so I understand what you say! The lounge at Heathrow is quite good I must say though! And yes, Thai is a great airline and one of my favorite for sure!
whatever device ur using - clearly u don't know how to handle it - ur focus is way to close.
This trip was the first time I used this brand new camera and I had problems with the auto zoom unfortunately, I’m sorry about that. The problem was solved in my following trips if you see my videos.
