Our 4 year old son absolutely loves this episode! We didn’t realize he enjoyed watching until he specifically asked if he could watch “the man with the hat make pancakes” ❤️
Amber be sure and tell him thanks for me
How adorable!
pancake & texas steak can make my day 🤠
Er muß selber in der Küche etwas machen, Bananenmilch, Kaiserschmarrn, Karamelbonbons.... Alt genug ist er !!!
I love to watch Kent . As I am watching this. I want pan cakes .
Just made these this morning, added blueberries , cooked up some bacon and used real maple syrup . wife said they were the best she ever had. Life is too short to eat boxed pancake mix. Great recipe
my scout troop added fresh blueberries to our pancakes, and good lord did they make even those bisquick pancakes a billion times better lol
Eat real butter too
I feel the same about box mix. I had them with insane amount of butter and strawberry jam. Ohhh, soo good!
53 years of Martial bliss - Rule - Never piss off the person who fixes your food - so I do all the cooking - I like to add chucks of banana and make Mickey Mouse Pancakes for the great grandkids.
@@wasclit11 It's almost my bed time and I don't have much more time to babble randomly! Would you please offer a bit more info about the Mickey Mouse Pancakes? Bananas, maple syrup, butter, sounds really tasty! BTW, I'm 48-1/2+ years into marital bliss, so I'm right there with you, [almost].

1/4 th Scoop of batter per pancake ( optional)
Use heavy cream instead of regular milk omg
And vanilla
Clabber girl
@@Mario_Real_TalkI used whole milk yogurt 😋
Thanks. but I think it spelled "flur" lol
I am a 44 year old man and you had me glued to the screen like a kid. I could “smell” the flavors! Congratulations on your success with your channel. I wish you many many many more years of success. Saludos desde Laredo Texas.
I always make great buttermilk pancakes. I'll try your recipe next time. God bless you.
Update: cowboys and cowgirls, you can throw away your buttermilk now. These are indeed the lightest, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had, they are. The honey gives it a special kick that will have you singing all the way to Oklahoma. The only change I made is that I used light brown sugar instead of regular sugar because I like it better. This is the first recipe I try from Mr Rollins and oh boy, it's amazing. My wife and our toddler agree.
Measure your flour well, just like in the video. Make sure that you use extra large eggs, and do not overcook. The first time I tried them they came out dry. I used large eggs (not extra large) and I probably overdid the flour (I just scooped it), so the batter was thicker. I may have overcooked them too. The second time I corrected these mistakes and I timed the cooking right (they will still be quite moist when you flip them, so be careful not to break them).
Seriously, stop paying $15 for a stack of pancakes in a restaurant; these pancakes are much better, friendlier to your wallet, and they are done in 15 minutes.
I'll never get rid of my Buttermilk...I Love my buttermilk pancakes..
@@dbergum1 yes, me too. The problem with making buttermilk pancakes for me is that I almost never use buttermilk for anything else. That means that I have to make a grocery run just to make pancakes. On the other hand, we always have whole milk in the fridge for the kids.
Kent your warmth and generosity just shine through the screen. Thank you for everything you do. From a big fan all the way across the Atlantic in Wales.
He’s married !!
Do they know about flap-jacks in Great Britain? I like a little or a lot of peanutbutter on mine
@@lbertlopez83 what's that have to do with anything
@@lecoeur1231 just kidding 😂
@@chadsimmons6347 I love flapjacks. My grandmother used to make the best ones.
Kent is the uncle we all love to visit and who is never short on energy
I bet he can cut a rug, too.
My goal is to be that uncle. Right now I’m the uncle who makes the pillow forts, plays hide and go seek, and tries to have the fun house. Haha
Hi from Down-Under Kent. I love your videos and your “keep it simple, keep it wholesome, keep it tasty” philosophy. I’m also really grateful that you take time out to thank military veterans as I was previously in the Australian Army (for 24yrs) before medical discharge. I proudly served alongside US troops in Iraq and feel that our nations share a bond of strength, comradeship and fighting for peace that all might feel secure and blessed. Blessings to you and keep up the good work!
No kidding. Working with ANZAC’s was always first cabin!
If kent told stories on amazon audible, id buy them in a hear beat. Hes like my all wise grandpa that I never had.
Greetings from Argentina, I'm not a big fan of pancakes but I just made these for my wife and kid, thank you Mr. Rollins, god bless you!
Sitting outside on a Sunny afternoon and I look over to see my six-year-old daughter with a note pad, a pencil, and my phone. She was watching this video, writing down the ingredients for her and I to go get after I pick her up from school the next day. Thank you Mr Kent and Shannon
Yeehaw!! I luv it ken!. Thank u
Kent, you are a national treasure. Keep on bringing the goodness. God bless.
Thanks so much and God bless you
Adding honey is something I didn't think of. Thank you, Kent
Been searching for that perfect pancake recipe for way too many years. This is it. Damn, Kent. You nailed it. My wife and I think we can do with a little less sugar though, so on my next batch I'll reduce the sugar and honey volume by 50%. This recipe yielded 12 - 4'-5" pancakes. I made three at a time in my large pan. Easy, delicious, and practically free. Thank you, Kent.
so glad yall enjoyed
Love this man's videos . Such a nice warm old fashioned welcoming
Glad you enjoy it!
Kent and Shannon, I just wanted to take a moment and share my appreciation with you both. I have recently subscribed to your wonderful channel and I can’t tell you enough how much of a blessing it is. I can’t get enough of you guys! The kindness, realness and honest humor and fun you both bring into your videos is what makes my week. I, a few days ago, just got over the hump of covid and while I was down and out, it was your channel and your channel alone that kept my spirits high and a smile on my face! My wife and I have both been binge watching as much as we can and it’s such a joy. Not to mention your recipes are absolutely fantastic! I am the chef in our family and I love cooking. I recently started dabbling in cast iron skillets and love it thoroughly. I’ve yet to get my hands on a Dutch oven but all in good time. Anyway I just wanted to thank you for providing a wholesome and fun channel to watch and learn from. You both are awesome and hope one day I’ll get to meet you both. God bless! :)
Going to give those a go this weekend. I'm always looking for the ultimate pancake recipe. And it never hurts that the grand-baby loves them to.
Hope yall enjoy
Love these videos! I am 20 yrs old learning to cook for my boyfriend. Mr. Kent & Mrs. Shannon, y'all are doing a great job!
I must admit that I doubted this recipe, but upon finding myself with no buttermilk this morning, I recalled y’all’s pancake video and gave it a try. These are *incredible* pancakes. The pancakes are just a little sweet, the vanilla comes through very pleasantly and they really are super fluffy! Thank you for the recipe and for saving my breakfast.
How long did you cook the pancakes? Mine came out dry, so I'm trying to figure out if I added too much flour, if I overcooked, or if something else went wrong.
I don’t know how long exactly, but when the bubbles come up is when I flip. It could be your pan was a lil too hot. Not sure about your batter consistency, but it should run off the spatula in ribbons.
@@stephanieray5940 Thank you. I did notice that my batter was thicker than in the video. I might have overcooked as well. I will give another try next weekend to the "pancakes cowboy", as my toddler calls them.
@@stephanieray5940 I tried them a second time, and they are AMAZING! This time I used extra large eggs (last time I used large eggs), I measured the flour just like in the video, and cooked the pancakes for a shorter time. I could notice the difference in the batter, which looked more like in the video. They are indeed spectacular. Thank you!
I’ve just got to tell ya…I haven’t watched a Cowboy Kent Rollins for a few months and I have missed your voice, mannerisms, hearing Shannon, The Begue, and all of the other Doggos…and the food 😍 the amazing recipes. I am so glad to be hearing and seeing y’all! Sweet Blessing to y’all!
Glad your back with us
Cowboy Kent, you are an "Alright kinda guy." I am a Boy Scout leader that really enjoys teaching our scouts about cooking in the great outdoors....specifically Dutch oven, and cast iron cooking. Thanks for all that you have educated us on! Looking forward to many more!
#LifeSkills
Doesn't matter if it's 3 minutes or 3 hours, I'm going to watch it! Good cookin', good laughs, good message in each one! Appreciate you both!
At nearly 60 years and this was my first try at pancakes from scratch. Pleasantly pleased with the outcome and taste. I'll NEVER buy my another box mix again.
I've been making my own pancakes for years now using a recipe I found that used Vinegar in the Milk set aside for 10 minutes. Boy oh boy they made some good pancakes that were thick and fluffy. Just delicious. Throw some sausage in the batter, and you've just hit a home run!
But.....with all that said....I'm going to give this recipe a try, because.....well.........the Honey intrigues me.
Who wouldn't like Honey in their pancakes?
Thanks for sharing.
Sounds good, we hope you enjoy
HONESTLY by far the best pancake recipe I've ever made/tried. Everytime I have tried to recreate a "fluffy" pancake it always turns out stiff and not fluffy. I just made it 10 mins ago and it was AMAZING! thank you for sharing :,))
Mr. Rollins... If it's a 3 minute video or a ln hour and thirty minutes, I never miss them! I have learned so many new ways to use my cast iron and dutch ovens from you!
Thanks Lola for watching
I just love y'all, your pups and your videos! Y'all are such a breath of fresh air and something my 4year old daughter and I look forward to watching! Thank you for just being you... You don't know how much joy you've brought to my life in a rough season! God bless❤❤
I have a small cast iron griddle that came with a skillet cookie kit. It holds exactly one quarter cup of batter. It makes consistent sized pancakes all day!
lol i got one of those as a gift for Christmas, things pretty cool if you ask me
My small skillet costs a lot of time, took me about 45 minutes to bake one batch of 8 pancakes including the prep and cleaning. Baking 3 at a time is much faster.
When you see a Gentleman with a stout mustache and a flawless sombrero outdoors making pancakes, you BEST BELIEVE IT'S GONNA GO DOWN! 🔥🍽️🔥
My wife and enjoy your videos immensely Mr. Rawlins. Keep up the great work and your great dancing. The content is so entertaining.
We use the same brand of baking powder and we share a liking for the ingredient whole milk, sugar and eggs, but baking soda, vanilla and honey are quite the change up when compared to my recipe-can’t wait to try this deliciousness.
Kent, my husband, and I just made these pancakes and they were the best pancakes I have ever eaten! Thank you so much for your videos.
I've never made pancakes from scratch, but this looks easy enough that even I couldn't mess them up.
Son it’s 9 o’clock at night they looked so good had to make me a batch. Yes sir delicious. Thanks for the tips and putting a confused look on my wife’s face.
Any time
I like blue berry flapjacks. My Aunt Eva use to cook for the loggers in Michigan during the depression.
Yep Shannon sure likes blueberry pancakes
Now I know what me and the pup are having for dinner. Thanks to both of you! Love your channel.💖
I’ve always made pancakes with Bisquick. I’m going to HAVE to try this recipe! Thanks Kent! I love your videos!! ❤️😋
The dry ingredients are literally bisquick. When I used a lot of it, I would make it in bulk. Kids moved out so we just go have people make pancakes for us instead now lol
that was my go-to, because it was sifted so well. i knew the baking powder trick. I use th e vanilla and cinnamon, but never honey.
With Bisquick the pancake comes out like biscuit not fluffy & soft.
@@increible3894 mom taught me the baking powder and confectioner sugar trick. I've used wheat flour, Bisquick, and King Arthur. I get good results out of each. Then again, i'm not "picky", I'm "hungry"
Yes, Master Class in frying pancakes. PERFECT
You are truly an American inspiration Cowboy Kent.
now that's what I call breakfast done right, I'm so glad to be your new subscriber! keep them coming.
Can't beat a bit of Cowboy Kents cooking, looks yummy as always 😋

You know I like these recipes I have my own that are fantastic but it's a joy to see his twists and his insights when cooking and trying them for myself you're a fantastic cook
Holy Kettle! That was some good pancakes. I have never liked "thick pancakes" previously since they have always been too "bred'y" but these tastes just like they look. Fluffy and soft.
10/10 in flavour and texture.
Thank you from Sweden. 🇸🇪
Glad you enjoyed
@@CowboyKentRollinsmr.rollins i want pancakes too😢
Love this series!
Defiantly love pancake and bacon, the most American style food IMO. LOVE from Japan, thank you for your effort!!!
Clabber Girl baking powder was what Mom always used, and is my preferred brand. A shake or two of cinnamon goes pretty good in pancakes too. This recipe is almost as simple as using one of the boxed mixes.
If you put together the dry ingredients yourself, you have your own mix ready to go. I use 3 cups GP flour, 1 cup bread flour and 1 cup whole wheat. Using whole wheat makes them healthy. 😉
Thanks for sharing with us Kent and Shannon, them pancakes sure looked good. Stay safe up there and keep up the great videos and recipes. Fred.
I don’t eat pancakes too often, but I got to be trying me some of these!
and why not I try to eat them every Saturday morning that my mom or dad makes if were at home
I’m drooling, I say Drooling over this video for pancakes ohhhh my goodness they look tasty. I can’t wait to make them. I especially love that you always say a heartfelt gratitude (a kind of prayer) to our service members. We wouldn’t be here without them.
I tried this recipe and I worked as magic. Best pancakes I've ever made! Greetings from Peru Cowboy Kent, you are an inspiration!
Mr Kent, those pancakes look sooo good and also got my Dad and family watching your videos . Also trying some of your receipts
Thank you Kent and Shannon for another wonderful show. The fluffy pancakes made me think of something else. Do you have or have you thought about a Dutch oven "monte christo" sandwich? I love those things but not really available in a lot of restaurants. We appreciate what ya'll do.
These pancakes looks so lovely and fluffy Kent. I will definetely try out this recipe at home for a Sunday breakfast.
I bet they are delicious!!!Nothing better than camping with the dogs.Great Video!!!👍🏻👍🏻🍀🍀
They are!
This is perfect for Father's Day!
I'll have to give these a try . My wife and I just had your recipe for sourdough pancakes yesterday. We sure enjoy the sourdough cinnamon rolls too.
Mmmm that sounds wonderful!
Gday Kent from Australia I dont use egg because it makes the cakes a bit rubbery I put the batter in the skillet and dip the pan round to make the cake thinner , butter the cakes one at a time then maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon then roll them up, love your show Cheers Robin
Kent, I've found that a "fish" turner style spatula works great in those smaller pans where you need a metal spatula. Lamson products makes a nice one here in America that has a walnut handle that will match your mesquite turner.
True story, I use the fish spatula for all my smash/griddle burgers.
You know it’s good when you gotta dance with it.
I started cooking different homemade southern dishes all the time because of this guy, love the content I hope the recipes never end, I love cooking🙏
Thanks for watching and glad you're enjoying
@@CowboyKentRollinsNo problem thank you sir
Muy ricos 😋😋 very delicious thanks for the receipt 👨🌾
Thanks for visiting
I never use baking powder, especially the ones that contain aluminum... I make my own baking powder; it's "single acting" and works just fine in all my recipes, even where the new-fangled "double-acting" baking powder is called for. It's easy, and you know what's in it: Two parts Cream of Tartar + one part Baking Soda... works every time, you make it fresh, and it's always fresh and it works in all recipes. If you bake with an acid ingredient, such as yogurt or buttermilk or sour milk, the homemade version works like a charm.
Same here, I use baking soda and two parts vinegar. One teaspoon of baking soda, equal one tablespoon of baking power, without aluminum and Alzheimer's disease. I don't miss double-acting baking power.
In fact, no one will miss double-acting baking power.
@@grandpied ... AMEN!
@@seanbryant2848 Right on!
These look so good!!!
I have to eat gluten-free now, so my hubs has turned into quite the gluten-free baker just for me 💕...
He makes the best pancakes with Bob's Redmill 1-4-1 GF flour in the light blue package. He also likes to add honey. We are also Clabber Girl fans for both their baking soda & baking powder. It never fails... Though we do, however, also like to use HEB's brand of aluminum-free baking powder when we can get it (sorry you don't have HEB stores in your part of Texas/OK 😕).
And regarding duck eggs??? YES!!!!! We have one girl Campbell duck we care for who gives us a hearty large-jumbo egg almost daily 💕. I grew up on duck eggs, & they're the best. Better than chicken eggs, IMHO - but I still love my sassy chicken girls who give us eggs daily, too (btw, Jersey Giants are the BEST for producing XL-Jumbo eggs!!).
- Also another good pancake tips is to use agave nectar if you don't have pure maple syrup available 😁.
Love the happy dance
Mr Kent from Venezuela 🇻🇪 a big hug
I miss the states!
My week is not complete without the Puppers reporting on Kent's cooking :)
I use beer in my pancake recipe, gives the sourdough flavor and the achole cooks out . I don't drink milk , never have milk around but almost always have beer,😊😊
As always, thanks for the videos. I really enjoy the simple recipes that can be cooked at any mealtime and don't take too much effort or need a shopping list worth of ingredients. I'll have to try these tomorrow and see how they turn out at higher altitude. o/
I can't wait to try this recipe! As a veteran, I really appreciate the love you send to the servicemen and women of our great country!!

A big fan of raw honey so the addition of that into this recipe makes me happy. I'm wondering if this recipe would turn out a good waffle as well?
It might make do in a pinch but waffles have a different ratio of flour to milk
Love you from Brazil. God bless y'all
Thanks and God bless you
I prefer aluminum-free baking powder and duck eggs are AMAZING for baking! ❤️
The world is sleeping on the joys of duck eggs in my opinion.
What's the difference?
@@michaeldunn5788 When used in baking duck eggs offer richer flavour and a firmer yet fluffier hold thanks to the extra fat meaning you can whip more air into the mix, A large duck egg is equivalent in measurement to two chickens eggs.
Personally if you haven't made duck egg creme brulee you're missing out, give it a try. 😉
@@heresjohnny602Oops I mean with aluminum free powder.
@@michaeldunn5788 There's less of a metallic taste from the metal that's used to trigger the reaction and it reacts with liquid to trigger the reaction instead.
Thanks cowboy, always love watchin', I do....
I appreciate that
I came here for pancakes but I fell in love with this man and his animals, lol I love America!!!
I am going to make these breakfast- they look so good, and without all the chemicals. Thank you!😋❤️
Did he use the artificial-flavoured syrup? Use Organic (real) Maple Syrup.
For an even thickness pancake, use the spoon to drizzle a ring of pancake batter about 3/4 of an inch around the top edge of the pancake right before you flip it. The extra batter around the edge puffs up and you won't have thin edges and thick middles, they'll be flat.
The size Kent was making his would need about 2-3 tablespoons to make the ring.
Cheers kent, from the jersey coast.Love all your vids!!
Enjoyed your videos.

Been making pancakes with a similar recipe, with both backing powder and backing soda. Not as much sugar, since I don't like things too sweet. Never tried honey, though.
I usually don't see a difference in baking with different brands of baking powder (I've used Clabber Girl and store brand). Usually vanilla extract and oil type makes a difference.

These are the absolute best pancakes I have ever had! The baking soda really made them good! I made a half recipe (like in the video) and got eight people size pancakes and four silver dollar pancakes for my two dogs. Kent's recipes are always great but he outdid himself with this one!
May God bless you Kent I love your cowboy style and your beautiful pancakes ❤
