If I were a sim card manufacturer, I would integrate memory cards in my Sims and people would buy. I remember the early days of dual sim. Today it has become commonplace. May I suggest you think about industrialising the process. it's great.

I did this with a 128 GB card which are costly. The razor blade on the sd card is the way to go as you don't shave off too much.

tried it since I'm bored. no fancy tools, used candles instead of hot gun, did a sloppy job. but to my surprise, it works 😂 thanks for the hack. it's cool. but inserting and taking out that sim tray is a bit nerve wrecking. I guess it's because I didn't clean the glue from the back of the simcard. thanks, really cool hack.

get a piece of thin plastic (like from a screen protector), pop the sim card tray out, and slide it between the card and the phone. should be easier to slide out

S 7 duos can read 2 sim cards and micro sd card up to max 128 gig. With S7 which is not duos, max sd card is 512 gig.

Tested already long time ago s7 does have good space for double sim n micro sd card. If you do it on redminmote. 3 its quite hard.
For me, the sim chip created quite a bump and hence unable to close it :(
Ranjith Murali yeah i have that problem to at first and make my 1st sim card attempt fail, but after i buy new type sim card mybe im lucky, it has very thin yellow chip. After i burn with lighter n just use double tape, the sim can easily in and out from tray.

Well this is nice video, they are taking care in every aspect. I did it successfully on galaxy s7. But I failed to do it for Note 8. It seems Note 8 slot is bit thinner than s7. any how I lost sim card as well as sd card. scratching sd card may destroy your card. Be aware It may damage your phone as well. Actually sim IC creates problem, it is little thicker and you cannt adjust sim smoothly on sd card
You did not try it the 2nd time with smaller measurement on the thickness? I tried this in my note 8 as well but unluckily,it didn't work. The chip glued can't pass through smoothly. Too bad.

does anyone know if the US version of the Note 8 will work with dual sims? I know it doesn't some with the dual sim tray or "hybrid" slot. But hypothetically, would it work if I took an international phone's dual sim tray and popped it in a US version phone?
Probably not.. maybe I'm wrong, but I think that dual sim is available only on Note 8 equipped with Exynos, not with Qualcom.... then maybe we may hope that for Exynos versions hardware is the same and that only changing rom would transform a single sim to dual sim??? would be interesting to test.
By the way, the operation shown in this video works perfectly for Note 8 dual sim. I did it with micro SD 128GB

You should definitely not start with your 200gb high end card. Try first with old unused sdcards and unused sims, after that you will know the tricky parts and how far you can go.

Gamerdu45 Samsung made the slot so you can choose to have a sim card, or a SD card in one of the slots. luckily, the two line up nicely and Samsung let them both function at the same time with no checks, so it doesn't question that it's getting two inputs where it should be getting one.

I want to use 2 Sims because I'm moving abroad so I can use a SIM card from that country plus a SIM card from my current country. That way people/companies who have my old number can still contact me after I have moved and it doesn't matter if I have forgotten to give someone my new number.
