Is Samsung successful in blurring the lines between a smartwatch and a sportswatch? What are your thoughts - would you buy the Galaxy Watch Ultra? Let me know in the comments below 👇🏼
I wear my GWU all day and all night. I have the Garmin fenix 7X, 6X, Instinct 2X, and 965. They are all shelved unless I have an extra long hike or bike. Though they have amazing battery life, they lack severely in the "smartwatch" dept. They recently released the Fenix 8 with more smart features but they are asking $1000 for the entry level model. Not sure what they are thinking.
Hi! That's interesting. I'm thinking of moving from my Garmin Venu 2 to the Foreunner 965 - mainly due to some of the running features I found useful when I reviewed the 165, offline maps, larger battery and additional health / wellness features. If I didn't want all of the smart features like the GWU but just the odd replying to a message, would you think Forerunner 965 is a good move based on your experience???
@thewearableist the 965 is a good watch if you can get over the lack of smart features. I can't wear Garmin full time because I need the smart stuff. When I try to daily Garmin, I end up going back to Samsung.
For the hit interval, you can create a routine that will let you do the work for 30 seconds then rest for 30 seconds, and you can repeat the circuit as many times as you want
Very good review and covered most of the topics. Keep up the good work. You grow so much and you have a long journey. Watching you reminds me of earlier days of geek ranjit youtuber. Very crisp and clear English spoken. All the best for future videos. Hope will see pixel 3 xl watch review. The comparison video helps.
I noticed it doesnt detect my sleep fully, say if sleep at 11pm until 6am, it only count that hours, i wake up at 6am for prayer, then i will sleep again at 6.30am until 7.30am....and this was not counted on the amount of sleep, kindly advice, is there something that i missed here with the setting?
Hi! I think you're not alone with this issue of the watch not registering a second sleep session / nap after your nightly sleep. The only additional settings are for advanced sleep metrics like skin temperature, snore detection, etc - the watch should be able to detect naps but looks like struggles sometimes. I'm in the market for a smart watch but I have like.ited knowledge about them. What brand should I be looking at. I hear garmin mentioned a lot in people's videos, but what version is recommended or what other brands should I be looking at?
Hi! It kinda depends on what you're looking for - if you want the best smart features like Google Maps, WhatsApp, etc, then Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel Watches are the main choices. Apple Watch only for iPhone. Garmin is my most recommended one as the battery life is amazing compared to Samsung/Googlet/Apple - it balances smart and sports features well. For Garmin, I'd recommend looking at Garmin Venu 3 (my full in-depth review coming soon!) and Garmin Vivoactive 5. I am also posting a video soon comparing Garmin / Samsung / Apple / Google soon. Hope that helps!
@thewearableist thank you. This does help, I've subscribed, so I dont miss that comparison and can't wait for the video. Keep up the work. I love watching these as they are informative and very balanced videos. Gets me through the day and always guides me to the right product.
Hi! Have you purchased your wearable yet? I've recently published my in-depth review of the Garmin Venu 3: ruclips.net/video/xsqzXQ09PI4/видео.html I see $100 / £100 off on Garmin's website for the Venu 3 for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Also checkout Amazon. Hope its of some help 🙌🏼
Is galaxy watch 7 and ultra are trustworthy on body fat measurement? Is there way we can confirm this. Could you include in your future videos if possible
Hi. The gold-standard for body composition measurement is a DEXA scan which can be done in a lab. I had a look at this myself when reviewing it - and the Samsung Health App shows a research study showing around 98% correlation between the Galaxy Watch's BIA sensors with a DEXA scan - which is actually pretty good! Here's a link to one of the articles online: news.samsung.com/my/study-shows-accuracy-and-precision-of-galaxy-watchs-bioelectric-impedance-analysis-sensor From my experience, the measurements have been fairly consistent over the last few weeks and the readings are not jumping around the place which is a good indication of accuracy (I generally keep my muscle mass and fats at the same level with consistent diet and exercise routine so the watch reflecting that consistency is good to see). Hope that helps 😀

I bought a gw 7 44mm and I'm satisfied, I had a gw 5 pro and a garmin venu 2 and these are the best :)
@cybrexis hi! I'm a long-term Garmin Venu 2 user as well 🙌🏼

That's right! It's just not clear or obvious enough like on Garmin and Apple watches that's all.
Brilliant review!
Thanks 🙌🏼
Another fellow Lion! My watch ultra arrives tomorrow and will use it along side my galaxy ring.

I have the galaxy watch 7 44mm and just bought the watch ultra exactly the same that you have 😍 there’s a world between those watch ☝️
Nice one!
What was the main reason for you to get the Galaxy Watch Ultra?
@@thewearableist activity tracking, day use and at work. I still use my watch 7 44mm to tracking my sleep.
That's cool 🙌🏼
Go compare the SGWU to the "Hermès H08" (from 2021) Luxury sport watch, titanium etc. And compare the SGWU to the "ugly-Frankenstein-like" AWU...
£4000 Hermès watch wow!!!
But yeah the SGWU vs AWU is on the cards 🙌🏼
If you don't mind. I'm asking a question out of topic. Are you from India?
Hello! UK-based 😊
Rip off... Doesn't hold charge for 6 nor 5 days
Camera doesn't av access to the phone
No Bezel sigh too pricey
Hi! I don't believe they advertised the Galaxy Watch Ultra to last for 5-6 days.
