Jerry finally solving the puzzle and the gasp is just such an underrated comedic moment 😂
The fact that that was the whole scene is just perfect
That voice acting, chef's kiss *mwah*! His gasp, LMAO. Also, his delivery of "my weird...Little...DICK!" LMAO LMAO!
He didn't know it was a horse until that moment.
It was my favorite gag too. There's something very "classic Simpsons" about it.
@@nickv1212 despite it being...ya know...on the box. 🤣
"I'm freaked out by how hot this is" what a perfect quote for this entire episode
Upon really seeing other people react to this episode I've found that Rick was the only one acting like an adult, oddly enough. He came home for Thanksgiving, hung out with his grandkids and played video games, didn't complain with Summer and Morty were having their crisis and just made another controller because he could, gave scifi life experience to Beth about her situation and actually mentions bonding with Jerry at some point to have installed the safety bug. Overall he acted a lot healthier this episode than we've seen him in the past, almost like he's starting to enjoy his family.
So at the end when he goes in to hide the liquor I think it was just him doing the mature, at least as mature as he's willing to be right now, and putting away the bad decision juice. If you want to ask, well why didn't he throw it away? I would assume he'd say something like "Do you know what you could get for this stuff on the black market? I'm in denial about being a recovering alcoholic not stupid."
I laughed wayyy too hard on that last dinner table scene. Still poor morty and summer AND WHY DISCOVERY CHANNEL WHY ?
I think I read Discovery Channel merged with HBO, which also owns the cartoon network and Rick & Morty show. Maybe a shout-out to them.
@@gpaje that's why Final Space got canceled
@@gpaje yeah it is sad when these two merged... animation got purged :(
@@jebeifinn443 Discovery is garbage, their buying WB and HBO was a huge blow to actual entertainment and the reality show shill in charge is making the world dumber while scrambling for short term profit with tax breaks by pissing away valuable content while his stock prices plummet and talent goes to other studios that are actually making things.
Oh shit, lets try and unpack this. So, Space Beth brought back the Venus(ian) Wine, which Rick recognized to ultimately act as a kind of love potion. The 2 Beths were the only ones to drink it, and it seemed to amplify their feelings for one another. Rick already had that hidden cabinet of weird shit in the kitchen, but clearly deemed its contents should be left out of reach of everyone, so he put the wine in there, closed it and shredded the remote. And to go a little philosophical, there is only one of you. A clone may have the same DNA, instincts, talents, illnesses, etc, but we (the grand "We", meaning our consciousness as individuals) are the culmination of our knowledge, environment and experiences. Therefore they cant be the "same" person (similar maybe, but they each have their own thoughts and feelings), so yes, it would be cheating. The other big giveaway that it was cheating is the fact that Domestic Beth hesitated, wondering what Jerry would think. The fact they didnt involve him in the decision process and questioned it meant they knew they should have.
TL;DR If you're into weird shit, get your partner involved.
You've way way....
......waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over-thought all this.
@@Cbricklyne pfffft, yeah, but you love it.
Here's another take: It's "cheating" and it is okay (by me). I don't think there's anything wrong with polyamory or having more than one sexual partner. But it is also up to other partners what they want to do, it is a personal preference and I'm inclined to think there's no (universal) wrong or right answer here.
the way i understood the ending is rick saw the wine bottle, and in an attempt to keep it from ever happening again put it in a cabinet that can only accessable by that remote, and then destroyed the remote. he didnt CAUSE anything, he just kniws how it happened and is taking steps to let it not occur again. i could be wrong, but that's how i saw it.
also btw, you didn't ask, but the jerryborie episode mentioned the asteroid is on some kind of multi-dimensional nexus point, which is why jerrys' able to go there despite portal tech being broken.
My take is that he's like "wow, that stuff must be GOOD, I'll keep it around, protected in this secret cabinet"
I figured he just went through interdimensional customs.
@@vibaj16 then why'd he destroy the remote that opened the "cabinet"?
@@vibaj16nah man, Rick is trying to act like he doesn't care and that "he has seen it all" but he's truly freaked out by the situation.
It's cheating if you feel like it'll offend a pre-existing trust if you don't keep it a secret. Then again, Beths and Jerry were able to reach a... satisfactory solution pretty quickly when it came to negotiation.
Jerry’s little kiss with himself at the end was adorable I love that
For real lmao, he gets so much hate but he’s been so wholesome this season
Cloud not being able to lift his sword off the ground was randomly hilarious
Seriously felt like this was a fanfic they made into and episode. Then when you said "Who's fanfic did they make into an episode" it made me Lol
As far as the wine goes, it's Venusian wine, which both Beths seemed to know about already, since domestic beth said "I love the Venusian stuff" and while I don't think it's some kind of love potion or anything, it's worth noting that Venus is known as the planet of Love, and I feel like that theme gets even stronger when Space beth teaches her fluent "Venusian" which is literally just French, which is also known as the most "romantic language" so lots of themes about love and romance surrounding this wine. I assume it's just good wine with a stronger version of beer goggles. It doesn't make people fall in love with eachother since both Beths have likely had it before, but it probably makes it much easier to act on those feelings
I'm pretty sure the implication is that rick either left that "love" wine out by accident so it was all his fault or it was on purpose and he did it to get beth and jerry to break up, which backfired incredibly hard
I thought Space Beth brought the wine
Beth really does squach herself.
well played
As soon as I finished this episode I thought "I cannot WAIT for Alycia to see this".
The bottle was an alien wine (that was shaped..interestingly) and I think that the cabinet in the window wS a stock of "things to drink to make bad choices while drunk on." And after hearing his daughters going at it with themselves and a Jerry he hates.....yeah I don't blame him for break access to that cabinet
I don't think he hates Jerry anymore, that's more of a past season thing! He got matching tattoos of him and Jerry after all!
Also notice how there's a Meeseeks box in the cabinet.
I think the wine bit was just that Beth does crazy shit when she drinks.
Was waiting for the reaction to this episode and it was gold as expected. And awkward discussions aside, in this instance I'd say it's cheating because Beth and Space Beth are the same person but with 2 different sets of experiences which still makes them fairly different.
Honestly if you have to jump through hoops trying to convince someone that it’s not cheating, it’s probably cheating. Especially if you have to hide it
@@GhostInPajamas Ixnay the cheating, a clone is 100% your DNA so technically it's worse than incest.
I'd say knowing each others' body almost exactly might as well count as them being the same person. And even if they aren't, they aren't exactly "different" people like conventional people either. They have the same experiences until a certain point in time, so they're even closer to each other than twins are (even if twins got raised in the same house by the same mother alongside each other, they're still two different perspectives and sets of eyes, whereas these Beths' childhood was *exactly* the same).
I think Jerry handled it very well,
considering the circumstances.
I'm legitimately surprised you didn't tell your parents to look away 🤣
"Who's fan fiction is this?"
It's something we didn't know we needed until now
Those house plants are dope
This is my favorite episode. I was cryyyyyying laughing at morty's face.
"Whose fanfic was this?" - I had the same question. Might have to add "assassinations" on my "to-learn" list.
It's cheating if it wasn't talked about before doing it in a relationship, many relationships are open, it's not cheating then because both parties (and the third) are fine with it. Beth is just overly narcissistic so it's no surprise she fell in love with herself.
7:15
That comment literally made me spit out my drink.
Bro the puzzle scene with jerry omg I was dying laughing 😂😂😂
I cringed so much during this episode, but I also laughed a lot so idk how to feel 😂😭
I still wonder how the house is not soundproofed already...
Love that your lamp is in Rick and Morty color
Jerry has actually grown a bit. Last time he was at the Jerriboree he was taken there by Rick and was too scared to leave. This time he takes himself and doesn’t seem overly bothered to leave the safe haven of the Jerriboree.
Jerry always seemed he resented Rick for all the strange alien stuff that he brings into his life and while I believe he still feels that way it’s cool to see him voluntarily explore the weirdness Rick brings into his life.
8:40 Well, you could just survey some identical twins (nature's clones). 😅
I think Rick using this bottle of wine to give space beth a good reason to come home and visit.
I really liked this episode! I know some people are grossed out with what happened but I thought it was very intimate and beautiful. It also really allowed Beth to love herself. At least that's how I felt, especially with Earth Beth struggling to compliment herself. While for Space Beth it was for her to love what made her more "human". They both love each other because they complimented each other so well. But we also know that Beth and Jerry also do love each other. So this was honestly the best outcome for them.
Also this isn't the first time they've had a threesome. I also know that some people are saying that he was just watching. But hey, whatever floats their boat. And they were all at least consenting to it this time.
Wouldn't it be interesting if the Jerry we know is the only Jerry that fell in love with Beth for real and wasn't influenced by the Council of Ricks/Citadel?
I wonder if that was squanch wine?
I feel like we have seen that bottle before.
Maybe Rick is trying yo have 2 Beths and no Jerry.
Obviously still trying to cope with the loss of his real Beth.
Rick was putting away the wine that Space Beth and Regular Beth were consuming at the beginning of the episode. 2 theories: either it was his and Space Beth stole it or she brought it in and he stole it. The wine caused the Beths' behavior. That's why Rick locked it away and destroyed the key.
If you really wanted to not say m@sturbation you should just say "forget the ice cream".
About the whole thing... Well... Jerry is becoming more and more like his dad. At least he didn't record it while he watched dressed like Superman.
Wow, I haven't seen this channel in years. A welcome recommendation
LOL, I just noticed that Rick’s butt cheek tattoos are of him and Morty as fierce eagles (5:22)
LMAO your laughter, a drug loool
The wine they drank was Venusian. Coming from venus, which is also the roman godess of love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility. So it is implied that what they did was because of the wine.
Honestly I think this episode is a classic. I'm reminded of an old Star Trek: Next Generation episode where Beverly fell in love with an alien that inhabited different willing host bodies throughout its life, and at the end is transferred to a woman's body. In true Star Trek fashion they end on a human but forward-looking note: Bev can't continue to be with this person now that they present as a woman, but she describes this as a failing on her part, on human culture's part even, and says that she hopes that we come far enough one day that a relationship could survive something like that. Lo and behold, thirty years later and successfully dealing with that exact dilemma is now nearly commonplace. Our lives will continue to be dramatically altered by the progress of technology and history, as science fiction writers are always pointing out, and I don't doubt that one day relationships will face hurdles similar to the one Beth and Jerry's goes through in this episode. It honestly strikes me as one of the most positive ideas in the show that flawed, limited people like Jerry and Beth could potentially rise to the occasion when confronting a possibility relatively new to the human experience, and become richer and closer for it. It's messy, as it always will be, but sometimes that's the messiness of growth, not toxicity.
Man you were so red from watching this episode lmao
Kieran is also my favorite Culkin. I support Beths
Yeah, this season has been amazing so far.
Remember Rick forgetting the ice cream in the the wedding episode in tiny planet.
No one knows Beth better than herself
lol
Venuian Wine = Wine of Venus - goddess of love. The end implied that their activities was because of the wine.
In all seriousness, yes it was cheating. The two Beths haven't been the same person since they diverged. While they are extremely similar, they now have differing life experiences and personalities, which makes them fundamentally different people, no matter how physically and mentally similar they still are. So yeah, not masturbation at all, just good old fashioned cheating with a sci-fi twist.
San Junipero is an episode of Black Mirror.
Well... Morty and Summer sure could've used that mind blower tech eh?
The Basic Instinct remixed title for this episode and the "togetherness"... I can't even with this show 🤣 I absolutely loved your reaction. Well, you kinda got your wish Alycia about them spending time together 🙃 Also, I don't think it's cheating if it's with yourself 💙
The best episode in a while and one of the funniest also, the moment Jerry stepped on that building I knew what's up.
7:43 - 7:48
... technically couldn't beth have been referring to 'Morty Jr' the gazorpazorpian/human hybrid grandson of beth and Jerry. Though to be fair I'm not too sure if he's still in Earth... he is a best selling author after all
I love that Jerry managed to salvage the situation and maneuvered the two Beth's into a three way at the same time 😂
I love how people complain about this episode saying; what’s with the incest?! It’s literally a joke to make everyone around them uncomfortable like bro how can you not get that 😂😂😂
1:33 yep, intuition was right.
Great reaction! What an episode!
I could feel the strain Alycia's cheek muscles felt in this episode lol
had anyone else notice when it’s R&M friday Alicia’s lamp in the back are light up green and when it’s SO saturday it’s red…. nice little easter egg
And here I thought, rick and Morty wouldn't be able to brake me more... lol holy damn
It seems bizarre to me that Morty and Summer had the reaction they did given everything they've experienced in their time with Rick. I mean Summer and Morty have a space incest baby. Morty has had multiple over-aged romantic partners (one responsible for mass murder), and Summer has gone on an apocalypse orgy/party-crawl with her own grandpa, just to name a few things.
I think Rick just learned a lot of what happened on Thanksgiving weekend could have been avoided if people werent drinking. So he locked away the Venusian wine and destroyed the remote.
Although given the way the Beths were interacting with each other it looked like it would have eventually lead to that anyway.
This one really caught me off guard XD I also thought the same theory about it being someone's fan fic.
I’m still gonna be here to remind you, their is still THE OWL HOUSE’s brother series “AMPHIBIA” you can go and watch.
The only way to truly answer the question of if it's cheating if it's with a clone of yourself is dependent on the answer to another question. Is it cheating if it's with the clone of your partner.
A clone of myself?! They would be absolutely bizarre
You went right to the 'fan fic' theory. Smart... ;)
This episode really does feel like a fanfic
Those Beths probably watched Loki on Disney+
this episode and the next Night Person are two of the best episodes of Rick and Morty.
Oh I was waiting so much for your reaction to this, and that was the funniest one ever.
And for your question, we've already cloned a sheep, so we are really close to cloning human. I would consider it cheating - it's worst, it's like doing it with your twin sibling, it's just so wrong. Thankfully I'm not attracted to myself, and after this episode I will never be. Where is mindblower when you need it?
Thanks for doing it moms!
This episode was just- *wow* 😂
Edit: It's definetly not cheating if you're doing your own clone, it's only masturbation with extra steps.
The sex with your clone thing is similar to a scene in The Time Travellers Wife
A clone is pretty much a twin so... yes 100% cheating
I love the reaccion of summer and morty
about the wine, it's a relation to the goddess Venus in Roman mythology ( _whose functions encompass love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory_ - Wiki ).
Rick probably drank it alone and didn't know that would happen, that's why he learned a lesson along with Jerry (lol) and destroyed the controller to avoid it from happening ever again. -- well, it's my guess 😆😅
I was not okay after watching this episode
Biologically speaking: a clone is the same as one's twin (identical) twin ... so I would say it is the same thing.
after the clone was made they became two separate beings because from then on they would not have the same experiences. but yes, biologically they are the same.
I see it as cheating. It's more like having a twin, beth looks like space beth...But their lives are so different and theirfore have different personalitys, and for me are different peopel. Ps. Good job Jerry on the puzzel A+
So anybody knows where is episodes 4-5?
Thank you for making this video 👍
"whose fanfic was this" LMAOO
there is a comic in chochox that actually explains it
I think when the clone was created and had her own mind, they were two different people. Especially living on since then with two completely different lives. So yes, it's definitely cheating, but for Jerry, only if they didn't consult him first or include him.
Your hair is looking amazing 😮
You are just my absolute favorite 😭♥️♥️♥️♥️
Well, the bug thing works for Jerry 😅?
Lol give it a hundred years
If I had to guess, the wine was too strong for Beth's to handle
Is it cheating if it's with your clone is like asking is it cheating if it's with your identical sibling.
You’re awesome interesting post reaction discussion! Lol
And then Jerry bought a superman outfit...
7:13 lol guess we learned what one of your fetishes are
Alycia!! A recommendation for you here!! Check out amphibia sure you'll looove the humor sm!!!
Well they had to clear the 3 way marriage somehow lmao
The wish of every narcissist
Am i jealous of Jerry? That's a weird feeling.
Hey! This one just feels right, huh? Should be fun. Here we go!
I think they might be jumping the shark....a clone is not actually just like you they won't even look like you
