audio quality is great, but you might want to work on lighting the studio a bit. couldnt see the I/O well, and all the top view parts of the video were dark. overall great video, looking forward for a detailed review

Must say that trackpad is surprisingly large for the price in gaming laptops.
Whoever complained about the build quality, I would say you should compromise on any one of the factors in budget laptops. Feel satisfied at least HP compromised in Build quality instead of in performance. That is what you want in gaming laptop. Chill guys 😊

Looks like it's fair enough cooling system for only 75w GPU.
Radiators and fans are quite big, they should be able to expel the heat quite fast despite only having 2 pipes.

I bought this laptop in the recommendation of my friend who works with computers all day. I had wanted something to help with streaming with my main PC, light gaming, and do video editing on the side. So far I am enjoying it. This is my first laptop since my HP laptop in 2013 🤣

It's not a bad looking notebook. I don't see too many issues with this model.
Thanks for the video, display wobble is definitely not a first priority for HP, as this issue also found on it's higher end model Omen... but I personally would not exchange a stronger RTX card for a stronger display lid for the same price... so it's just start to make sense for me .
The r5 5600H is really good, the intergrated graphics is good for battery saving and light gaming, this laptop is for productivity/gaming

I'm glad to see a high quality review of this laptop, in english (not that I have a problem with other languages it's just I only know english), by an average consumer like me. I really want this laptop and I'm glad I found out more about the build quality, looks, and specs. It would be a great laptop for me because it seems to offer good performance and specs that cost more from other brands. I hope I can get one soon.
High spec and low priced laptops have LOW MATERIAL QUALITY, I did that once, Not gonna do it again. If you really need high spec save more and get a premium one, Otherwise get a normal laptop with high quality material. Quality is very important
You are absolutely right. I live in turkey. Our currency is very worthless. Our country's economy is bad and taxes are very high here. Almost everyone buys laptops with powerful but poor quality materials. My friends bought the "Monster Abra Series" laptops produced by the Clevo brand for Turkey and the result was disappointing. Dead pixels appeared on the screens, there were problems with cooling. I'm using an Msi laptop with lower hardware but the same price. My laptop is much smoother and I've seen 80 degrees at most. My friends laptops are around 95 degrees.

Clevo makes bad build quality laptops and sells them with different names in poor countries. Search and don't buy them please.

That hinge, no man. I'm looking away after seeing that flimsy display. My current HP AU116TX was like that, now with a broken hinge.

@@JayPatelVlogs I didn't replace it. It was broken in way that the whole plastic chassis had to replaced. I just tightened a few screws to keep it steady and use it like a desktop, not close the display.

@@JayPatelVlogs Build quality is a big thing when spending a huge amount of money. Keep that in mind as it impacts longevity. Wait for something else from Acer, Dell or Asus. Dell's plastic is 100 tomes better.
Comparing this to the Pavilion Gaming 16.1, the Victus looks nicer but am I crazy for feeling it's a side-grade/mild downgrade to the Pavilion 16.1? considering the relative equality in price?

The 3050 or the 3050ti with its 4gb v-ram is a no go. Check the videos by Jarrod tech and hardware unboxed. Also one of my mates mate has a 3050 ti laptop apparently he isn't happy with the performance form it. It's well worth to pay for a 3060 or pay less and get a 1660ti (although this won't have the dlss and ray tracing feature)

I'm on a 1 year old HP Pavilion Gaming and this feels very much like a reskin with the same build quality but just upgraded specs. I tried the build quality tests along with the reviewer and all except the deck flex yielded the same result.

Hi guys, I have pre-ordered 3060 model in Amazon for 85k. Coupon code discount of 2k, exchange offer discount of 15k, Rs. 1750 discount for HDFC EMI. The only thing I missed was extended warranty and I felt It was pricy. Can anyone help me out on applying extended warranty after purchase?

@@goobfilmcast4239 Well I agree to some extent, since I cancelled my order for this laptop and went for a much better one. However you can check benchmarks for these laptops, a desktop 3070 drawing more than 300 watts of power is giving maybe about 20% more performance than a laptop 3070 that's only drawing 140w. I do agree that majority of gaming laptops are crap, but there are stand out ones like the g15 advantage or the lenovo legion 5 pro 3070, that definitely deliver. In the past one could argue that the premium you pay for gaming laptops compared to its pc counterpart is way too high, but with recent hardware shortages for pc components, its starting to work the other way around.

No, there is no hp victus model that comes with 6gb graphic card around this price. For me R5 CPU is sufficient, but I need as powerful GPU as I could get, so I'm fine with what I bought

Im using Hp Victus for one week, and heres my personal review.
{spec}
My hp victus is i7-12700H intel core, RTX 3060, 144HZ screen, 1TB storage, 16GB ram, and mica silver colour.
{gaming performance}
Some of the games I downloaded is minecraft, fortnite, pubg and roblox.
Ill tell you guys one thing, the fan noise is loud so you need a headphone to ignore it. I also uses a cooler for a better performance. Anyways these are the fps
Minecraft: Max: 200-300FPS Usual:120-250 FPS fortnite: 100-150FPS pubg: 75-100FPS, ROBLOX: 230-300FPS.
I didnt change any settings, exept disabling startup apps. I really enjoyed while playing games, but in first day It blue screened so that was sad.
{Build quality}
Screen is wiggly but anything else exept that, It performanced well. The cooling fan did perfect work to cool down, but it was kinda loud. Keyboard, 100/10. I liked it so much. It was so clear and nice. The design, I liked it because it was just clean and looked like a normal laptop. It camouflaged as a work laptop on coffee shop.
{Battery}
75w, for the persons who works outside without plugin would be a problem, but I always plugin so wasnt a big problem for me. It lasted for several hours.
{tips}
If it gets laggy, just disable all the startup apps and restart the computer. Mcafee(?) protection is useless so u can uninstall. And restart ur laptop a lot.
Overall it was the best budget laptop ive ever experienced. Tho, im curious if bluescreening at first day is normal or not.

Performance and thermal
Good u boxing. The details of the screen are important for laptops and gaming laptop especially. The low 250 nit brightness isnt very good unless you're in a dim room. I have an omen w 350 and that is fine but outside it would be terrible. Also 144hz is good tho and it's got a decent price tag. I like the looks of the HP products and I like my HP OMEN a lot. 256gb is too small for AAA gaming and upgrading to dual channel 16gb min is a must so keep that in mind as memory prices are up over a year.

I was worried about that too, but fortunately they will include a 300 nits 100% sRGB 144hz display for the Ryzen 5800h models.
I recently got the OMEN laptop from hp and i was damn happy to have the best hp gaming laptop but then they release this!
Did I miss the hard drive bay? That kicks it down a few notches in the upgradeability department for me. 2TB in a platter drive vs being forced to buy an M.2 SATA as a secondary drive makes this laptop less affordable. Not having a drive bay is a deal breaker.

@@ronaldmcdonald6067 To piggy back on what you said. The price on M.2 SATA and NVME drives has come down a lot. It's more economical and future proof to have a secondary M.2 drive instead of a spinning platter drive even if it is external. No mechanical parts to fail. Average lifecycle of a spinning platter drive is 5 years.

HP 30l and HP Victus with same cores and components. I believe this is the best pre built around for its price as Asus sells a Workstation laptop with no graphics for the same price as HP victus with Nvidia graphics.
I have an HP Omen 30L with a Ryzen 5 and GTX 1660 Super and 16GB of ram. Just bought this HP Victus with a 1650 GPU, and intel i5. I upgraded the 8gb of ram to 24gb and it runs SO DAMN WELL! I mostly play Apex Legends and Halo Infinite and I haven't had to lower the settings at all. Runs perfectly fine. Not sure why all the reviews say it's "showing its age." For a $500 laptop I think it's a solid choice 😃

Please do check out the Victus with 5800H+RTX3060 ($1400) . I'm confused between that and the Pavilion 5800H+3050 ($1200). These seem to be the new option in India, please do make a video if possible.
I bought one last week with the i5 12450H and GTX 1650, picked it up on Wednesday. Had to return it because the screen was damaged due to the TERRIBLE almost non-existent packaging material inside the box like you shown in your video. I mean come on, a giant gap in the packaging where the screen and motherboard can get hit? I expected better from HP. Got another one that same night, was in way better shape. Not a week later I am returning it. I think it is a piece of junk. The keyboard and track pad are terrible compared to my ASUS 2 in 1 from 2015. However they were better than the Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 that I had my eye on for a little more money. The battery only lasted an hour and a half EVEN with the 1650 inactive. The ports are hard to plug things in and take out of, especially the NIC port. I went into the BIOS to try and enable XMP, no option exists in there. HP still uses their own flavor of the BIOS and only allow you to change what THEY feel you can. Instead of using the standard American Megatrends, ASUS, MSI, etc. BIOS screens. The fans had a high pitch tinny sound even when they were on their slowest RPM.
I am now writing off HP for my personal needs like I did with Dell. I will recommend them for others since the Pavilion line is still good for budget computing needs.
