Great presentation ☺️. I purchased an HP Omen 15 in May of 2021 with a i7 10750h. I would have preferred an AMD 8 core processor, but with the configuration I wanted from various manufacturers, the 10750h CPU was the (only) compromise I made. Much respect for Intel for stepping up their game with their 11th generation processors. Now their 11th generation i5 processors are more powerful than my 10th generation i7 processor.

Man HP is known for very good plastic case body's. For example I had a HP for seven years and then I repurchased a new model, again plastic and no issues.
I would only ever pickup a mercury white Razer blade. That's literally what makes it look good to me. I also love the white keyboard look with the RGB lightning. But I guess it's just a preference but to me the silver/grey metallic look is what gives laptops a premium look and feel.
I actually think I'd rather the victus here than the Razer in black. And the finger smudge problem definitely kills the black one for me too. Only thing I'd miss is the keyboard of the Razer with what I consider the best of the best RGB lightning and unlike the reviewer I think I'd prefer the Razer typing as well

the victus one in europe is about 700 euros, and it's the best for your needs, also you would want to upgrade the ram to 16gigs. you literally cannot find something better in the matter of price and specs.
How’s that even a comparison? Lmao that’s comparing a thin-and-light notebook with a much weaker GPU compared to a damn RTX 3060 machine. Not to mention the fact that the Victus has over double the display refresh rate (60Hz vs. 144Hz) and that you’ll be paying more for the MB Air if you want the same amount of RAM and storage.
@@appletechboy6290 I meeean, I don't have both the MB Air and the HP Victus with me (THe Victus is not yet available where I live), but I'll judge from this video. - The Victus is made out of plastic while the MB Air is made out of 100% recycled aluminum alloy. The MB Air easily takes the win for the best build quality as it's made of sturdy aluminum alloy that'll easily last a while and you'l basically see zero flex with the laptop. The hinges also seem exceptionally good and will probably also last a good while. The HP Victus, on the other hand, is made out of plastic and seems to not be as sturdy as the MB Air. The hinges also seem more flimsy than the MB Air, but that's not to say the Victus' build quality is _bad_ at all. In fact, judging from the video, it seems perfectly fine. Sure, you'll _definitely_ notice the difference in build quality when feeling the premium aluminum alloy of the MB Air, but the Victus' body doesn't seem to flex a lot. - The battery isn't even a comparison at this point. The MB Air can easily get over 2 days of battery on _full_ performance mode with the screen's brightness cranked all the way up, while the HP Victus will probably only be lasting an average of 8-9 hours (probably less) on _battery-saving_ mode and a lowered screen brightness. The MB Air's _insane_ battery life is because of the highly efficient M1 chip, which has an efficient ARM/RISC-V design (from what I know). The Victus runs on either an Intel or AMD CPU, which both run on x86, an inefficient architecture. - I can't compare the keyboards 'cause I don't have either laptops, but from what I know the MB Air's keyboard is always praised for having a nice, crisp feel. The HP Victus seems to be similar to the HP Omen and the HP Omen's keyboard seemed pretty great, so the Victus will probably share the same keyboard as the Omen. Either way, I feel like Apple's keyboard will be better. - There are different CPUs you can choose for the Victus while the MB Air only has the M1 chip. Comparing the Ryzen 7 5800H with the M1 chip, the Ryzen 7 _can_ slightly beat the M1 chip but the M1 chip will easily beat the Ryzen 7 in pattery performance, though you wouldn't be thinking of gaming on battery on the Victus, a _gaming_ laptop lol. - The GPU of the Victus _easily_ beats the M1's GPU, even on battery. You have 4 choices for the Victus: the GTX 1650 Ti, the RTX 3050, the RTX 3050 Ti and the RTX 3060. All the GPUs of the Victus--even the weaker GTX 1650 Ti--easily beats the M1's GPU. This is probably because the GPU on the M1 only runs at 10 watts while the GTX 1650 Ti to the RTX 3050 Ti can run at over 80W while the RTX 3060 can range from 80-115W on gaming laptops. The Victus _easily_ takes the crown for the best GPU. Just know that you should always aim for the RTX 3060 unless the price difference between the 3060 and the 3050 are really high ($150 more or greater). Overall, it highly depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a premium, thin-and-light and efficient laptop that you can take anywhere without having to worry about battery, I'd easily pick the M1. On the other hand, if you'd rather get a powerful gaming laptop to use mostly on your desk, plugged in, and have the benefit of simply moving your laptop around the house and bring your laptop while travelling and all, the HP Victus is the much better choice. HP Victus Ryzen 7 and 3060 variant has a different heat pipe than the other variants. A thermal mgmt, gaming test on this Victus variant won't help.
