Its engine and chassis came from the BC175 (in the Philippines it is called Barako) commuter bike which has 3 generations. The first generation BC175’s engine came from an Eliminator 175 (EL175/BN 175) which is also proudly made in India.
They're popular in the Southeast Asian market because people use them as project bikes to build trackers, scramblers, brat bikes, and cafe racers. If you search for modified W175, you'll find many beautiful custom builds. However, India does not have a similar modification culture, and it also does not make any sense to use an underpowered 175cc bike with a price tag of 1.4 Lakhs as a project bike. Maybe if they priced it under around 90k and marketed it as a project bike with different mod kits, then it would have made some sense.
Thanks a lot Sagar bhai! You reviewing this decent bike proves how well this is built by Kawasaki to target commuting market. It seems you've rode mostly downhill. Is this bike good uphill? How well can it handle ghat section?

this bike shows how out of touch kawasaki officials are with Indian commuter segment market. With outstanding options providing good performance, mileage and better price range from brands like bajaj, honda, tvs, hero etc this bike is definitely set for a eventual failure.
So, here's the thing. Someone who 'understands' what Kawasaki is, will not buy a 175 commuter. There are cheaper, proven reliable, more fuel efficient and better service-networked brands available, most of which are homegrown and already dominate the market. The Pulsars of the world will chew this and spit it out.

I think it's the best proportionate simple bike, if only it could have come for a little less. Maybe 1.5 lac would have a better slot. It is not the markets fault that W175 is not selling . It is Kawasaki's fault for expecting people to buy a plane jane bike. Get busy on the drawing board instead of criticising Indian buyers.
Nice to see Sagar ride this simple bike. 😊👍🏼
I imagine seeing the Bajaj caliber or Bajaj boxer when I see this bike. Hope it gains more sales. Sometimes you need to take a chill pill and ride slow. 😊👍🏼

@@SagarSheldekarOfficial yes. Of course. 😊👍🏼
kawasaki bajaj flashbacks lmfao
True that
Bajaj boxer
I'll surprised if Kawasaki sells even 1 unit
Bajaj CT100 on kinda low steroids
*cries in FZ-X
Eesh... another pricing miss from Kawasaki 😅
this bike shows how out of touch kawasaki officials are with Indian commuter segment market. With outstanding options providing good performance, mileage and better price range from brands like bajaj, honda, tvs, hero etc this bike is definitely set for a eventual failure.
They had a lot of success in the Latin American market and other asian countries with this. But yeah too little for too much price for india
RE 500 engine swap 👺
Wheelie?😭
So, here's the thing. Someone who 'understands' what Kawasaki is, will not buy a 175 commuter. There are cheaper, proven reliable, more fuel efficient and better service-networked brands available, most of which are homegrown and already dominate the market. The Pulsars of the world will chew this and spit it out.
This is aimed more towards the RE Hunter TG
Get a Honda unicorn 160 instead of this one
trust me its honda
Even your exceptional cinematography couldn't make it look good. This is probably the ugliest looking bike on sale right now. This won't need riots to get burned
Ouch
The bike design is flawed. I can't exactly point out what it is ,but the eyes detect something that's not proportional.
Just really small
who buys this😂😂😂
bajaj ct 100x owners looking for an upgrade in the same category.
Mostly people who aspire to own a Kawasaki but are on a tight budget
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial But this isn't a Kawasaki if it's not badged "Kawasaki". No character!
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial does it have the premium kawasaki bling?? the base hunter at 1.5 with spoke wheels will be 15k costlier but will be double this power and much better retro looking , just thought coz ppl need a good value and might stretch a bit if it makes sense but famous brands find it really difficult to sell their low end bikes by just showcasing their brand value
@@HunterVlog350ccI sold my classic reborn to book it . mileage drops drastically in j series engine after 15000km..and engine doesn't feel same anymore
I love kawasaki but this bike 🤢🤮🤮
Hunter is a much better bike.
Hunter 350 is a better choice than this bike...if this bike might be 250 cc it will over run the market
Yeah this is no match for the hunter in terms of value for money
And hunter cost almost 2L
Nah this is lame from Kawasaki
Maybe it's a Bajaj CT100 for the rich to give their kids to learn biking on. There's literally no reason to justify this product other than to show 'we can'. It's a dumb luxury product for rich-er countries.
would make sense if it was priced better
I sold my classic reborn for it..i love being dumb and happy
not worth anymore too underpowered and looks like bajaj ct100
With a difference... U will get this for 2lakh😂
I think it's the best proportionate simple bike, if only it could have come for a little less. Maybe 1.5 lac would have a better slot.
But then again, I cannot expect the legendary KAWASAKI to make the product affordable just for everyone.
Edit after watching:
Maybe pricing revisions are Good.
And lastly, the Kawasaki engine does age very beautifully.
I really think it might work well as a product,
How it performs commercially, time will tell...
The spoke variant should come close to that now after price reduction
This is the ideal bike for India. If you see road conditions in the country you really cannot go more than 80 even with a superbike or you will be singing your prayers

Memories of Kawasaki-Bajaj boxer 4s champion...
😊... hope the headlight can be moved down by 3 inches for the lines of design...
Tq for bringing this brother ❤
Most welcome
Very simple bike with simple controls. That's just about it, no frills or features. But better looking than the previous model.
