I think a lot of content creators are going to convince a lot of people not to get PF during July. But 5 weeks later, the community finds some insane combo with PF and so many players are going to kick themselves that they didn't get the card. Thank you guys for that PF theory crafting part
Jean Grey definitely seems like an immediate meta-defining card. It will be the staple for control decks, but it can also be used in a variety of decks like you brought up. I could easily see many, many decks carrying Enchantress, Nightcrawler, and Brood to counter the meta.
Mayo-Ketchup combo for the win. Some places in the US call is fry-sauce, but glad Alex made that discovery. That sauce is second only to my Rampsauce deck I ran to Infinity.
I only got one infinity ticket, I got to the fifth round. I was using a kitty bounce deck. My final opponent was using an invisible woman silver surfer build, kill monger after the game and kill my kitty every time. I knew I was toast, but hey, I had fun. I have never done that well at the game so it was a good time
As someone who has played a bunch or marvel games of various forms: Whenever Jean/PF is introduced in a game it always fundamentally changes things. It’s always hilarious. Can’t wait 😂
The intel provided during Conquest is the most valuable part of any deck... the fact Spider-Ham hits Shang-Chi, Destroyer, Knull, Galactus, Hulk... that informs the entire match... I'll be definitely getting Mirage.
In my opinion what makes SNAP so different is the paradox. To be elite, rather than attempting to "win" you need to know when to "quit". A very different way of competitive thinking and I love it, even though it still rubs me wrong to retreat.
Jean Grey + Galactus sounds possible! With playable locations and perfect draws, T1 Yondu T2 Wolverine T3 Jean T4 Wave all on one lane (or whatever on T1 or T2 to fill the lane), then T5 Galactus on a different lane while your enemy is still filling Jean lane. At that point, your enemy probably don't have two other lanes with 7 at least on both, so it's a safe play
14:00-14:43. Cozy didn't hear any if that. I know that look, he was in deck building mode, theory crafting. The "what about..." was the confirmation I didn't need. 🤣
There is nothing better than the Monday morning Snap Chat! Good morning, y'all!! I hope y'all have a great day and a great beginning to the new season!!
No "Cards that need a buff" segment this week but I recently got a pixel of a card that not only needs a buff, I legit forgot it even exists. It's not even meme status, it's straight up forgotten.... buff Strong Guy!
I feel like Ebony Maw is going to be a strong combo with Phoenix, as it’s way better than Maximus as it’s cheaper and the negative effect is entirely nullified.
Mayochup already existed in the world. It is called fry sauce. The legendary creation started in the states of Idaho and Utah, glad the world is starting to understand why it is so good
This is my favorite part of Conquest. Using Proving Grounds to complete Missions that don't align well with my current ranked decks is another added perk. The 0-loss state of Proving Grounds is ideal and can't be matched until hitting Infinite in ladder. And once Infinite in ladder Proving Grounds at least provides medals and tickets which have some value where playing ladder post-infinite has no benefit (until they add the leaderboard feature they've teased).
I feel like a better version of legion would be if he randomly changes all locations. He essentially becomes a scarlet witch on steroids, and I for one think that would be fun as hell. A good counter for jean I think would be killmonger and aero
I think Phoenix force as a turn 6 protection from shang chi or revive a killmonger card could be something to think about. Maybe even a ghost to pass priority
Arnim Zola destroys a card to create copies right? So if you ramp out Dino on 4, Zola on 5 you could play pheonix force on 6 and theoretically have a Devil Dino in each lane....I really hope this works 😅
The only synergy i could think of right now is Attuma solo turn 4, Turn 5 phoenix behind Inviswomen and Turn 6 put Orca on Attuma lane, it's a fairly high power play i doubt it's consistency but i genuinely hope Phoenix can make "Atlantis" archetype shine better.
So youre killing Attuma by putting Orca in his lane then having PF res him at the end of game when PF flips out of Invisible Woman? Could be a fun power swing. Could be a good power swing. Though that said the combo they showed in the dev vid with Human Torch is insane. Shuri on 4, PF on Shuri which double its power + adds the power of human torch, move on turn 6 to double his power then Task Master. That's at least 28 power each.
Phoneix Force + Spider-man 2099 would be pretty cracked, particularly if you could get him to move before destroying him, you get to destroy 2 cards and he'd have 12 power
personally i kind of love how understated the infinity border is. I dont want to have some big flashy thing tied to me would legitametly push me to not use it. plus it makes it so if you see someone with it its like a secret like you both now the power that that border holds, it doesnt need to be big and flashy you both KNOW
If shuri works doubling the power it will make literally any card insane. Even just like a korg with 14 power that you can move which would then trigger twice. Phoenix-shuri could go in almost every deck
Biggest potential problem with Negasonic is that you can end up reviving it with Phoenix Force, resulting in it destroying itself again for no power gain.
@@tf6026no she kills the next card played at her location not the location she was played at either her location I’ve been running her in a weird destroy deck lately
@@opticgoku2611 yeah I know but I mean she only kills the card after she's been played so if she's revised she's not gonna kill the phoenix cos the phoenix was played before she was revived
The interaction I'm curious about with Phoenix Force is Playing Phoenix with no destroys then drop Zola so Phoenix should then destroy itself and merge with itself at 2 different locations correct?
Call me crazy but would Nakia work with Phoenix? A card that gives a +2 bonus to two cards, get's brought back and gives that same bonus again for a card at 8 power (Can't get sniped then). Would that work or is that too little?
Feel like Jean Grey will be very useful against many decks out there. Imagine Jean Grey + Cosmo combo that might make Destroy deck almost unplayable, but on the other hand she could also be a good counter against DD + Pro.X.
Obvious but I also see PF being a good card with Jean Grey. Kill her on turn 4, res with phoenix. Although you only get to move her on turn 6, on turn 5 you're forcing them to play their first card on that location, potentially ruining their turn 6 setup. Though that said I'm surprised PF doesn't synergize with JG nearly as much as maybe Torch. Jean being 3 cost and PF being 5 means you HAVE to kill Jean on turn 4. I understand it would be broken if you could do a revived Jean on multiple turns but putting the ability aside, I'm just surprised these cards don't work more hand in-hand like Moongirl and Devil Dino.
i just pulled iron lad from a cache when watching this video. second series 5 card pool. first was dazzler way back when she was pool 5. this card is slightly better i think lmao
yesterday I lost my 5th game on infinite both with 1 cube left... it felt sooo bad... It would be great they give you back the infinity ticket after you pass certain level, I dont have the will to go through gold again...
There is a plausible negasonic combo. If you bring Negasonic back, you just get a movable nuke or slide it under your armor of you need that power boost in that lane. If you don't bring back Negasonic, you get your combo piece with Pheonix like Vulture & Iron Fist combo
Maybe Phoenix Force is a lowkey Shang Chi counter? Jean Grey is like a reverse Sandman - you gotta have a lotta little cards rather than a few big cards. She seems OP. I think they're underrating Legion and overrating Mirage but that's probably just the noob in me talking.
some random notes Echo is a great prof x counter. (If she did her ability all across the board it would make many cards useless. Prof X would become unplayable) Phoenix with sinister is difficult coz its always a 50-50 because of the clone. with brood the chances are 33 percent. Phoenix with Jeff is very strong. More power than vision and can move anywhere. Phoenix also has insane synergy with hulkbuster. destroy the buster, revive it, merge it with any card, make it movable. thats, 6+4+mobility on any card on the board. (multiple man torch anything) Legion might be used more on turn 6( especially if the locations are ongoing and with priority) There is some jean grey HE cyclops synergy. with wasp and prof x she will fit right into HE lockdown.
I’m thinking phoenix force might ultimately be like kang? The ultimate tech card? Put it in the deck just for Shang chi purposes or other things that might destroy your cards?
The Shang-Chi defense could be used as a nice surprise in Conquest, no? Even on turn 6? Round 1 they destroy a big card on turn 6, then round 2 you play Phoenix on turn 6 without priority and p00f insta-revive. This card is gonna be sooooo much fun in conquest. Countering a counter is the best feeling ever.
Legion combo: Storm on turn 4 Legion on turn 5 You lock all 3 locations Your only option is to play jeff at turn 6 Meaning you put high evo on your dec to play those small cards at the beginning and send him a goblin while you at it.

Nebula, Jean, Goose, Surfer Deck here we go. Maybe a Hand control with Widow, Mordo, Iceman, Jean, Ronan and Task Master. Even an ongoing Klaw, Jean, Mr. Fantastic, Spector MAYBE Omega Red, Onslaught
If you’re trying to fit PF into Surfer I think Negasonic T3 then Brood into that lane on T4 to blow him up and then PF on T5 to bring the brood back would be a pretty nasty line
Echo brings back shuri redskull, echo and armour in different lanes by turn 3 shuri on t4 in the armor lane redskull t5 then Taskmaster on the echo lane to dodge cosmo

maybe phoenix force value doesn’t even have to come with its move? Let’s say in shuri-red skull, it can bring back your big red skull if your opponent has priority and Shang-chi’s it, just like a retroactive armor.
So, here in Louisiana, we made Mayochup before Heinz capitalized on it. We combine the Mayo and ketchup and use it for seafood boils, like shrimp, crabs, and crawfish.
Jean seems broken paired with other cards like Cosmo and Mojo in an ongoing deck, or with Doctor Doom/Odin ramp. Phoenix Force is Bonkers especially in Destroy decks, because you can combo it with Venom and get more destruction. I'm not convinced about the other cards, they just get outscaled by Jean and Her immortal Curse
A combo that I thought of electro turn three Black Panther turn four Arnim Zola turn five and Phoenix force turn six bringing back the black panther and doubling it's power on the Arnim Zola lane
I’m from Utah and “Mayochup” has been a staple here for as long as I can remember. We call it “fry sauce”. Every time I go out of state and ask for fry sauce people look at me like I’m crazy and just give me ketchup…
Another possible Exodia combo: Negasonic, Shuri, Phoenix Force. Depending on how Phoenix Force works with Shuri it is either a 14 or 16 power that you can move to another lane and you have another doubling effect on turn 6
Just know that you'll now have 2 destroyed cards that PF can hit (Shuri and Negasonic) so it'll be a 50-50 on which you get. Also gotta make sure you have priority or they may throw a card there.
This is an exodia combo but Electro Black Panther Zola Phoenix Force is 16 power in 3 lanes, you could also play Jef along with Phoenix Force on turn 6 for an extra 3 power in one of the lanes.
Does Phoenix Force keep it's own ability too? It won't be something that pretty much ever comes up, but I'd still be interested in the interraction it has with an Odin.
