- I believe there are untapped resources out there within local credit unions and regional banks. Redstone Federal Credit Union is one of those gems you can discover if you are cash back focused or your're in the late game looking for keeper cards. Even if you are travel focused, a little cash back injection wont likely hurt your earnings.

Hey Luke I’ll tell you I did the same today. I was supposed to be in the garden until Q4 but I did end up getting another card for my back up set of cards. My next card on my schedule is the new WF card or the BOA premium rewards card.

FIRST…. I’ve never heard of this card, but it has some strong reward categories! 3% grocery and discount stores, 5% gas?!! This is pretty good! It does require some extra effort to be able to apply for the card, so I admittedly fall into the percentage of ppl who’s spoiled with 2 min applications.

folks have been predicting the nerf for a while now. I think it'll happen but i still think it'll end up being a decent cash back option.

Hi luke. i too am a member of AUSA! To join Redstone, they appear to do a credit check on you. I assume it is a hard inquiry. Did you have a second hard inquiry for the credit card itself, or was it just once to join the credit union?

I don’t remember. I did whatever was the easiest to join the credit union.
What do you think of the Hawaiian Airlines cards? Their personal and business cards have 70k offers with only 2k spend required and adding an authorized user. Hawaiian miles aren't great but they are merging into Alaska and they will become Alaska miles. I'm pretty sure that merger will happen, its a risky play but 140,000 Alaska miles can you get you very very far.
I would not recommend those cards. 💳
@@LukesPointsandMiles Hawaiian has a brand new business class and only charges 80k one way to Hawaii and they are a transfer partner of Amex and Bilt so you can top off your account after getting the 70k bonus which only requires 2k spend. Might be something to consider.

5/24 has nothing to do with Inquiries. It's new credit card accounts. If you're asking me if you should apply for Chase card, i'm not the biggest Chase guy out there so....

I hear they pull Experian and I have tons of hard inquiries on my Experian. How many hard pulls do you have on yours? Mind sharing your data points?
825 or so Score and between 15-19 hard inquires.

Depends on the store. For example, Wawa and Sheetz with a gas station code as gas in the store, as does, generally, a 7-Eleven, but ones that don't often code as convenience stores.
Noticed this card last year and didnt apply for it because it seemed too good to be true.
Yeah it seems like a lot of folks thought it would be nerfed by now.
@@LukesPointsandMiles Im putting it on the list now. Going on a massive credit union spree myself now as they have so many hidden gem programs for loans and credit cards.
@@LukesPointsandMiles I think it more likely to be closed for new applications rather than nerfed, like AOD did with their card. Some of the best credit union cards, like the Vantage West and PCM CU, have strict geofencing. The PCM card is insane: 5% cash back on everything, all the time. No annual fee. It's a Select Employee Group CU, for employers in Marinette, Oconto, or Green Bay. Almost impossible to join if not a family member of an eligible employee.

The U.S. Bank Shopper Cash Rewards gets you 6% back at WalMart with a cap of $6,000. It's no annual fee for the first year but $95 thereafter.
The capitol one Walmart credit card gives 5% back at Walmart
