Hey! I do my hair the same way.... Mine is dark brown. I have a couple of scrunchies,with hair around them, I like them for a change too.

Try watching the how to for the perfect messy bun by Kathryn Ann :) hers is my absolute fave and I've seen so many!!! I'm not sure if she's done any other types of buns, but the messy bun video i watched, it starts out with her hair up in the bun and I believe she has on a striped halter or tank top. I hope her video helps u guys with thick and thin hair out :)
MissAlex has a couple videos, perfect messy bun, it's in black n white n its really pretty, her hairs thin but not real thin n she makes it look super thick, and theres one that's got 4 diff SUPER simple hairstyles in it, its called something like 4 easy heatless school hairstyles....I loved those too..i think by her technique u can pull off whether u have thick or thin hair :)
I tried so many times and it ended up knotting so bad.

I literally watch this every day that I need to do a messy bun. I always try the first way, but it comes out awful, so I go with the second way and it looks great. I'm never gonna give up hope on that first bun though! Thanks Briana!

I think it’s easier when you have thick hair.. for fine hair I can’t even grab it like you do then make it look full after.
I struggle too! I must redo any attempt 25 times until it want to cry! But finally, this gal has more medium length hair and tho it’s bouncy and full it’s not super super thick and long like all the other videos seem to be. The struggle for me is real!

I would have to let it air dry for it to have some kind of volume but even then it doesn't look like the cute like of messy. It looks like the I'm too lazy to do my hair messy hair.

I've watched so many of these videos and have tried so many times and it never works for me and always looks horrible!!!😭😭 I think my hair is just too long bc it is wavy and has texture so I think it would work but my bun is just waaay too big bc I think my hair is too long

Ok honestly.....the technice of the first onw truned my world upside down :D for my entire life I tied my buns in the worng way. Now its way easier! Thank you Brianna :)
The second method really worked! I have seen multiple ways of trying to get a fairly quick and secure bun. This one takes the cake! My hair is waist length, medium thickness, and wavy. I would need to use dozens hair pins for other methods and take a lot of time, but this one only required four-five pins and two minutes! The bun lasted all day through errands and a swim at the pool. Thank you!!!
