Heartbreaking to watch, I chose to not be the parent who used the kids against my ex. He was an abusive drunken SOB to me but loved his kids. I separated my feelings from him, but let our kids build a relationship with him. Glad I did.

I have experienced this. I came home from a deployment and my ex had run off with my daughter. I had a car and a motorcycle and nothing else. I spent 6 months sleeping in my car searching for my daughter. I drove from one end of Kentucky to the other and just happened to find someone that had seen my daughter in Murray KY, 2 days later I found my daughter. I eventually was given custody after a year of nothing. I wouldn’t change being a single father for anything. The flag in the background after you walked in the door hit home because that is how mine was hung. Great video!

My son is being used as a mental weapon against me..💔😣 it sucks when you don’t know what to do or how to fix thing or how to explain to your son why mom an dad don’t get along and why there not together I fight myself every day with all these broken thoughts going through my head 😞

I was born in 2002, one year before johnny Cash's death. My dad introduced me to his verson of hurt as a kid and it was a song that was very special and important to me. Hearing this cover gave me a burst if nostalgia. I love the way you changed the meaning of this song yet, kept it the same. Coming from a college music composer and band music writer, the instruments and layers fit in very well. I think if listened to this 5 times already. Keep up the good work.
