He's the best option available to win, he'll be fully healed with the Achilles and will be better with more chemistry with players and better coaching, plus Aaron Glenn wants him. If Rodgers comes back, Davante also comes back on a pay cut as well. That checks off QB and WR needs for 2025 whilst relieving cap space.
