Now I know what the "Beasts Beneath the Boards" means, I had a preview of the last episode, and is very tragic, as much Aemond want to be like Daemon, he not have his ruthlessness or cold blood in battle, at difference of the book, in the end he had a beast that he couldn't even control.
I think its like Jojen says, a bond goes two ways, and if you are too young and lose the fight for control, it affects even your mind. Aemond bonded with Vhgar when he was 12, imagine being 12 years old and having your mind influenced by a 200 year old killing machine, who has burned down hundreds of castles, thousands of men, and lived through several generations of war. Aemond probably had insane ptsd way before the war even started, and i think Vhgar infuences a lot the man he later becomes.
