There have always been differing levels of honesty. There is contextual honesty, in which the information is crucial and for a good outcome you must be honest, this is implied.
And there is deeper honesty. The things you wouldn't admit unless you felt compelled to do so, admitting secrets and hidden thoughts falls into this category.
The third kind is emphatic honesty. With this category, when you say "I'm being honest" or any variation, you are saying "I am telling you this because it means much to me and the moment between us, and I want you to know I am sincere." This honesty is often used to show a valued individual that you value them as much as they value you.

I read in the comments that the show was disappointing, so I'm kinda glad that this one scene just has a lot of good character. It's not quippy, but it also doesn't take itself too seriously either. And heck, any successor chapter getting a bit of spotlight is a win for me.
I do get the same way though where if the sounds and atmosphere are even slightly off, it bothers me too much.

Honestly, all of the shows Ive seen so far from GW's WH+ fustercluck have been disappointing to some degree. I enjoyed them well enough for what they were, but I still have a sour taste in my mouth when the circumstances surrounding it all is taken into consideration and the fact that as a large company, GW should be able to make better quality stuff than what they've given us.
This one might squeak by with a pass as a stylistic choice for the most part, but Hammer and Bolter gets no such excuse.
If you just really want to watch some WH 40k stuff, you could do worse but try to pirate them somewhere.

@@imapopo2924 I disagree. I think Angels of Death is stylistically where we should be. My beef with this series is that there is a LOT of sounds reused from Richard Boylan's fan production of Helsreach. I appreciate that they hired Boylan to work on the project; but I am also very disappointed that they didn't give him better tools to work with.
The sour taste in my mouth is that GW picked through the fan creators, hired most of the mediocre ones (Not counting Boylan) and Cease and Desisted the rest into oblivion.
GW has a real nasty habit of working against its own best interests, and this is one such showing of that.

Unfortunately, I share that sentiment with GW's Disneying of fan content. I love Warhammer 40K enough that I desire so much to try the tabletop, but GW has been a huge wall for it to the point where I almost wanna refuse to give them money (no guarantees with Space Marine 2 and Darktide).
Games Workshop needs to lay off the control and let artists and creators have a bit more freedom. So far, it seems the game studios and developers have that luxury. I never ever understand why companies strongarm their own fans and customers into not making fan content to show their love, except the typical monetary reason which is just plain terrible business anyways because it's free advertisement and it solidifies engagement and fills in lulls in official content.

Captains voice actor has that British liquid gold to it. So fucking manly but he knows how to hold a dinner fork. The "as am I" was fucking godly. Sounded like Roose Bolton or tywin lanisters actors from game of thrones. Such power in the bass.
