I heard my first Monstercat song when I was 13. I turn 20 next month. That means that this is the last compilation album released by Monstercat while I’m still a teen. (October edit: or ever, I guess) I just want to thank Monstercat for sticking with me throughout these last 7 years. Through the good times and the bad, through the big changes and the little, there are so many Monstercat songs from all different years that are attached to their own meaningful memory of mine. I owe Monstercat everything. And what an amazing compilation album to end my teen years on. Here is to many more songs, compilations, and memories. This is not the end! ❤️😼

This is pretty much one of the strongest Instinct albums ever, right? Really good tracks from Monstercat regulars like Rogue, Grant, Feint, Tokyo Machine, and Stonebank, plus appearances from names like Kang Daniel, Kaskade, and Weird Genius. Not to mention the tracks that are already big, like All I Need and Flip Reset. It's always great to see an album with this much starpower. Also, those mashups in the mix, wow!
Great album, but compared to the past albums, the actual Mix is a huge letdown for me. The artists are incredible, the songs are incredible, but the Mix is really unsatisfying.
The transitions here got me really mind-blowing too! Even a tiny bit more than the transitions on Instinct Vol. 6, but even a lot more than transitions on Instinct Vol. 5 (and the ones on IV5 are still good too).
OMG! YES!! It's finally here at last! Whooo!! Oh man, it's been like a little over 5 months now since the last Monstercat Album Compilation came out! I'm so happy & thrilled to see this appearing now!! :D
It's more of a typical long actual transition itself than an actual mashup in this mix though. But that'd be pretty interesting for both songs being put to a full mashup after-all sometime.
God i miss the mashup albums. I cried a little when i found out this was the last. Thank you to everyone in the Monstercat family. You are all amazing.
I also even noticed that both Instinct Mixes (Vol. 4 & 7) started with Grant & ended with Trivecta with RORY's vocals (which is pretty matchful). But if the other Grant song (Fix It) was put at the start of the mix instead of Won't Give Up, that'd be completely matching enough with Vol. 4 (because of RUNN's vocals).
Since acoustic versions of original tracks are included in IV7, most likely the future Instinct Compilation will have acoustic version of original songs as well.
It's pretty interesting and yet perfect to know that this Instinct mix got Premiered while I was at my Grandma's house (and I was on my mobile phone for RUclips at the time too), even the background here fits perfect for that time of memory! :)
Monstercat has evolved into such a strong brand, able to deliver immense amounts of quality content. I mean, 50 tracks in a compilation, with mashups and acoustics, INCREDIBLE graphics, a back story that's slowly unfolding as time goes by. As a pretty old viewer, I am truly moved by the progress you guys have made throughout the years, from the baby steps to the huge leaps. It's been an honor to experience this, and massive thanks to everyone involved in the project. Please continue forward.
The fact we get 50 tracks instead of 20 is just insane! Did not expect Monstercat to add 10 more tracks in these compilations! Overall fantastic Instinct album! Loads of creativity and variety! Did not expect Acoustic versions to be on here though! I think this might be my favorite instinct album! Just a typical update for this June (for an exact number of songs), I think I heard that the next one (Uncaged Vol. 11) might have either 55 or possibly 60 songs.
@@t00nvisi0ndub I think it's probably because that there were 50 songs for UV11 so far, but my current guess is that I think maybe they wanted to extend the amount a bit more for this new existing Mcat album to reach any much longer 2 months old, currently I'm not really sure when exactly that UV11 Album will get revealed. I'm pretty sure that it's just for new Uncaged Albums only, as I looked into Instinct Vol. 8 on Google (along with UV11) saying that I the Instinct ones might remain 50, but that will obviously have to wait until around Fall or so.
Oh golly, that is some pretty un-expected & mind-blowing of a mix that I ever listened through (when it got Premiered), I was expecting that this would be a typical 2.5+ Hour mix before the Premiere countdown approached (which would even dethrone the length of Uncaged Vol. 9 & Best of 2015 too), but wow, it's pretty different here than I ever thought!
Ever since this part of the label has been created, it's been growing and growing and growing, and it just keeps on getting better and better and better. I love almost everything that has made it to this album, and I'm holding a toast to all of IV7, the future Instinct releases, and the road to IV8 that we'll be walking soon. Cheers! One thing I have to say though. Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing album, with a lot of amazing artists and songs, but the length of this Album Mix is very unsatisfying. Compared to the great number of songs on this Album, the Mix is just way too short, and I really miss the long Mix that comes with every Volume. I can't enjoy this to the fullest without hearing everything, and I feel a bit let down with just this. It's one of the biggest Albums to date, but unexpectedly also by far the shortest official Volume Mix. Both Uncaged and Instinct have never released such short Album Mixes before. This is honestly quite a bit of a letdown for an Album Mix, and I'd really hope after this Monstercat goes back to the usual, longer Album Mixes. This just doesn't feel right to me.
Yeah, I have the same opinion. Even tho it's actually nice to change song every minute, I feel like I'm missing a lot and that frustrates me in a weird way. I think they should control + z and go back to the old way. No hate to monstercat, just an opinion :)
100% agree with you. It's such a tease to have this quality of songs put out and only to get like a one minute snippet. I appreciate the effort for the two song mashups that are new, but I'd sacrifice those 100% of the time for the full length songs like previous album mixes. Here's hoping, ig.

I think this is probably one of the 6 Instinct Album Volume Mixes of 7 that gave me such a solid amount of impression into me to even back to, which is pretty great! :)
I like how it's a little more 'mixed' than normal. We got some cool overlap and shortened versions of everything, idk, feels more like a live set that way and I like it. :)
Listening through at least a few sections in the first third of this Instinct mix (especially Good Feeling x Union & Goodnight Stranger x City mashups) is somehow giving me almost a similar energy through my head and body just like that one classic heavy rock song (that I discovered a week ago), but in quite a different mood of enjoyment and much different music genre of course, haha.

I'm kinda in-between. I actually got really mind-blown of a reaction when I heard two songs being mashed together with eachother.
