Congratulations to everyone who made the best of mix this year. It truly was a good year for Instinct. About 75% of my Monstercat playlist is from Instinct now.
The end of one of the weirdest years is coming, and with it come my most anticipated albums. Congrats to all artists featured in this mix, very well deserved, and hope to see a lot more from everyone in the following years. But for now, let's just hope 2021 brings more than this one has brought us, and that 2020 will only be something to remember soon.
This is actually the first time that a Conro track made it in Monstercat Best of year Compilation that I genuinely enjoy a lot (mainly because of the typical funky bass and electric guitar sounds), and I'm very glad for that too (and I wanted to thank everyone who voted for Therapy to be on here)! I'm also glad that Time Travel Kool Aid made it on here as well! :D
Found A Reason, Animal, Lost My Mind, Only You, Arcade, Never Had, Night Cap, Outerspace, You Gotta Be, Unspoken, Bite . . . A lot of good music was missing, bro! I'm really disappointed, really.
I don't understand why the best of the year voting isn't split up for Uncaged and Instinct. Instinct is always going to be at a disadvantage because it has significantly less subscribers than Uncaged. I know the best of the year voting isn't perfect, but if you're going to split up the channels then split up the voting too. The fact that this mix is only 37 minutes is pretty disappointing because there was a lot more great stuff released on Instinct this year.
@@RayhemXD True, i kinda forgot about that. I just don't think it makes sense to split the fan base between channels, then have us vote for the best songs from the two channels into one vote. Besides if they did that, it would mean we could vote for even more songs, assuming they would stick to the 10 song cap for each vote.
Ay! This "Best of year" Instinct mix has finally gotten more views than Uncaged Vol. 9 Album mix, nice! :) And yes, I usually use this account mostly to check on the exact number of views for anything specific (mostly with Monstercat mixes anyway). UV9 is really awesome (especially Feed Me & F.O.O.L), but I'm really glad to see that another touch of an Instinct mix had gotten more views than that background lightning mix anyway.
What a mix. I am a bit sad that Odyssey got snubbed but that doesn't matter when we've got some of the best instinct tracks I've ever heard yet. Seriously, this might be their best year yet. 2021 might beat this mix, it might not. Only time will tell. Special thanks to PandaHydra, JSG, and King Julian for keeping this comment section somewhat stable.
I listened throughout this entire mix with my pair of headphones (that had that typical echoing audio sound) around some weeks ago, and the moment I heard Empires by Rogue playing on here, it gave me some interesting & impressive reaction (with the vocals). :)
Absolutely, one of my top 10 from both lables easy this year, the votings just less easy for instinct releases, they may eventually change it. Great song though!
Even though I like Rogue's other two main songs in 2020 quite more (mostly Fusion), the one that made it on here (Empires) actually fit's perfect with the background. The transition from Butterfly Effect to Empires is really cool though. :) UPDATE: In case that Monstercat Instinct Vol. 7 Album hasn't even existed yet, I'm currently more happy to see that Empires made it in here instead having Fusion in here (even if I still liked the vocal performance on Fusion a bit more as a separate tune itself).
Anyone find the transition from “All for Nothing” to “Time Travel Kool Aid” and “Therapy” to “Ubi” satisfying? Every time I’m not expecting the switch between the two set of songs.
Crazy only 11 Instinct tracks made it for best of 2020! And as I mentioned before on the uncaged mix This year for Monstercat was decent for me, I liked 2019 better. However I think the 11 instinct tracks that were chosen are great! None of the instinct tracks I voted for did not make it. Disappointed Just a Gent and Smle - Revival, Direct - Opal, and Cloudnone & Direct - Told U did not make it! 2020 was definitely the year for Direct! Seriously love his new garage direction! But either way happy with the end result for Monstercat Best of 2020! Looking forward for 2021! I have a feeling it is gonna be great for Monstercat next year! Hopefully it will be the new 2011 for Monstercat.

A bit disappointing, it's too short, some great tracks were released this year, these aren't the only ones, and Therapy needs normalization. bo2019, which was the best one imo, was released on the 13th of december, you can still fix it! lol
the best of's aren't from january to december, but from december to november, that's why it's from 2019 but still on bo2020, the same happened with Subside and A Lot Like You back in the day

I think another reason why this mix is this short is because of a couple VIP songs and even 3 tracks by a same artist that made it on Uncaged mix.
