- Billy always says, "The art of hunting is the balance of patience and aggression." This is also true of life.
On a recent caribou hunt in Alaska's Arctic, limited caribou movement caused Billy's clients to wonder if they should be more aggressive. Knowing the barometric pressure was dropping and a storm was forecasted, Billy's 25 years of Alaska guiding experience gave him the assurance to assert to his hunters that a change in weather would cause the caribou to move.
Billy relates his struggles with patience as a Christ-following man. As men we often "try too hard". This hunt caused Billy to recognize areas of his own life where he's lead his family into to many "empty valleys" instead of waiting patiently on the "glassing knob" and simply, resting on God's word, and allowing Him to bring a "weather change"/something only God Himself can do.

If you ever decide to do something other than guiding, you should consider becoming a preacher.
I have never been able to read the bible and have it make sense, but listening to you, I can understand God's word, you help it make sense.
I know all of us don't really know you, we see what is on TV, but God gives us , I guess you could call it the knowing, we feel who you are and you are a good person.
And I have faith in you to overcome and to guide your family and even your friends through this trial and tribulation.
Keep your faith Billy, if there is ever a doubt, look into the eyes of your children. Because one of the strongest faiths is that of a child. And have the patience of a mustard seed.

Yes you are right Billy God the father does plays all the parts in this glorious universe he knows all,for he is perfect and one day you will understand that but you must believe in yourself that you have faith in him and have not thought about it cause thought is the devil himself.

I am from Ridgeland and moved to Barron in 1971 so we are outdoor guys from the same area. You are a person of faith and from listening to this' you seem to be overthinking this. Be a good human and let it play out the way your future was planned for you long ago. Another good story and we thank you for that.

Hi Billy, I certainly enjoy the hunting videos and would say you're definitely in your element with the videos you produce. I also appreciated your message today as I definitely find myself in the same place. I would like to challenge you regarding the comments you made about your friend ( that owns the fishing camp in my country) and the covid vaccine. Do you really think you needed to connect refusing to be vaccinated with "Truth"? So the inference I come away with is.... the only believers that understand Truth are the ones that don't support vaccination. I just don't understand why you had to go there. Is there not enough division out there that we need to create more? I have to say that those comments were disappointing.
Not my intention to create division, but I do believe division is exactly what this vaccine was leveraged to achieve. My friend's livelihood was taken from him and his family for 2 years. They stood on the truth that their "bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit" and refused to put an unknown, man-made substance they didn't want in their bodies, just for financial security.
