    Living in Colombia has become an opening-life-changing experience. I'm back in the states now, but I miss the slow pace of the country. The perspective is different and Latin America has taught me how to enjoy life.😊

    Great video... I know exactly how you feel. I retired 7 years ago and moved to Costa Rica. It took some adjusting at first being a type A personality. Now we are looking to move to Panama next year. We fell in love with the lower cost of living and the convenience of the city.

    • @AbroadAbility
      @AbroadAbility  4 месяца назад

      People don’t discuss that adjustment enough for A types lol. I didn’t realize it was one that I needed to balance my approach to life lol. I am still adjusting but have made great strides towards letting some things go and to go with the flow lol. I hope you enjoy Panama. 🎉🇵🇦

    Very interesting and informative video, I’m thinking of getting my permanent residency there. However, I would love to visit first and see how I feel.
    My grandson is physically disabled,he has cerebral palsy. I’m his legal guardian and I wanted to take him with me, but I understand that there are no side walks for wheelchair etc. I’m concerned about that, I heard that it will be very expensive to hire a caregiver for him. It’s not a good feeling to think.. that Panama welcome certain expats but disabled seems to have no place there. I’ll be watching for more of your videos .

    • @AbroadAbility
      @AbroadAbility  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to say hello. I have a friend whose son also has CP and uses a wheelchair. She wants to bring him here to see how hard it will be to navigate with him. There are parts of the city that have better side walks but as a whole, Panama is not disabled friendly but there are plenty of us here making it work. I will say, that in most of my travels, I have found several counties that don’t have their infrastructure designed or upgraded for basic disability standards. I hope you can do a scouting trip.
