The part at 7:01 is so genius. "A dream job doesn't mean it's perfect, or not intrusive to other parts of your life". Working in my dream job now, but there are times where it gets stressful, and people often chime in saying it might not be for me. Stampy helping me stay strong well into my 20s.... what a legend.
He's so lovely. I feel so incredibly lucky to have grown up with him. In fact I still watch Stampy daily at 18. I'm currently rewatching the quest series he did with Squid!
ME TOO!!!! that quest series is engraved into my brain forever, i’ve rewatched it too many times to count. stampy and squid are such a perfect example of how two friends just having fun can bring so much joy to so many people, and joy that makes them return to their content even years after they’ve “grown up” ;,)
Rather than writing a comment about how Stampy was everything good about childhood (as it was for many, many others), I would like to instead write about how Joe Garrett, the human being, played and plays a pivotal role in shaping the person I aspire to be. Behind the Lovely World, there was a person spending countless hours of hardwork and dedication to making people happy. The thing that I take away from Joe's work is his creativity. Joe has a kind of creativity that is genuinely rare, in this generation but also in general. Whether Joe channels that into gaming, writing, or anything else, the process and product will be something imbued with a sense of unique enthusiasm and beauty that will spread to the viewer. I was a proud Stampy fan, but I am an equally proud Joe Garrett fan. Thinking outside the box (or perhaps, beyond the blocks) is something that Joe has taught me - not explicitly, but through his actions. Thank you, Joe.
This is a beautiful video! I was kicking myself to make a submission but couldn't get it in on time! You've done a very good thing here and I'm very proud that the Stampy community can come together to make a video like this!
Stampy and Iballistic squid were my childhood, I'm 23 now but I still like to go back and watch their old series like race to the moon and feed the beast.
This is amazing! What a great thing to do for the community. It's insane how you managed to get THE stampylongnose to join your interview. Props to you. Amazing work!
Stampy always has been a huge inspiration in how he does what he does. He always made the videos he wanted to and not the kind that would get the most views or followed the current trends. And in many ways that's something RUclips has lost over the years. Many creators probably are not making videos they wanna make but instead the kind that get the most views. But Stampy never was one of those and in turn, that made him probably one of the most down to Earth and respectable RUclipsrs on here. For all those creators who just do and make what they love, Stampy is an inspiration for us all. It's a guiding principle I still use. Make what you feel passionate about and will remember...not what will get you the most attention and be forgotten by tomorrow.
The fact that Stampy, the man who introduced me to Minecraft which spawned my love of creating things that eventually led to me becoming an indie game developer is now himself technically an indie game developer (because he's working with 4J studios as a designer) is utterly blowing my mind.
Stampy will always be one of my favorite RUclipsrs! He was the one that inspired me to start RUclips. I'm so glad I discovered his channel. Thank you Stampy for all the memories! Also thanks for including me at 14:46, it means alot to be part of this project!
I turned 21 this year. You were a huge part of my childhood Stampy! I loved getting notifications for your videos and getting to watch them. Thanks for everything!
I really loved his perspectives he shared on here and find them very truthful. Unlike what I'm sure is a good portion of his audience, I can't quite say that he was my childhood simply because when I first started watching his videos I was in my early teens. And I knew at that time I was older than his primary demographic, but I just loved his videos, the fun he had with his friends, and as he mentioned the silliness he was able to open up to in his videos. So I do hold a lot of nostalgia for that time and I still frequently rewatch those videos to this day. I still remember the first video I saw of his which was his first Easter Egg hunt. That's the year where I became hooked on to his videos.
his voice brings me so much comfort omg. still at 19 i find myself rewatching the mc youtubers that made me feel happy and included and safe online as a kid, stampy is top of that list followed by dantdm, squid, ldshadow lady, jack, etc :,)
I am 15. ALMOST 16 (in 2 months) and I started watching this orange fela when I was 5. Crazy! Also who else thought for some reason Joes name was actually stampy irl!?
That’s such a great video I remember watching his videos and he made my dream come true I remember he built the funland but one thing we always never forget is memories. Memories will last forever so I feel thankful for him to make everyone dream come true
it's hard to put into words what nostalgia feels like, but I think a good way of explaining it is that I'm happy that I experienced all of it, but I'm sad I can't experience it again.
Thank you, Stampy for what you did for all of us. Teaching us lessons, being a place to go to cheer yourself up, showing love and happieness is something we all can have.
I started watching Stampy in 2016 this video brings back so much u guys r awesome this is one of the greatest videos I’ve ever seen I used to come home every Wednesday from school so excited to see the new lovely world video it was so close to me that when Corey, Benji, I almost cried it just brought back that how long the world was going and how big of a part this was to my life so I just wanna thank u all so much u guys r awesome : )
Stampy has changed my life. The amount of happiness him and his videos have brought me is insane. He has gotten me through so many rough times. I am forever grateful. I have seen all of his videos across all his channels. It took years but i enjoyed every second of it. I can't wait to see what he does next. I am along for the ride not matter what happens next. Thank you for this interview. It was nice to hear some of these questions asked.
i love stampy. i watched his channel religiously as a kid. when i was 16 when i got my orange kitty and named him after stampy, now im almost 22 and we watch old videos together all the time🧡
An interview! This is absolutely spectacular. The first question is really quite important. A lot of his history on RUclips is of course explained in the 1 million subscriber special, but due to many old videos being privated the details might be missing. So this is quite lovely.
i loved hearing ab his current thoughts on youtube/trends, as well as the advice he provided!! It fr shifted my perspective ab self expectations and how passion can create something so beautiful. I truly respect him so much and i'm glad to hear about his upcoming projects im so excited :D Wonderful video!
Being 20 now, a tear is brought to my eye reminiscing on life back when I would come home from school, watch Stampy play Minecraft, or Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch, or Papo & Yo So many good series that I still occasionally revisit Glad that he's still doing well nowadays o7
One of the things that would trigger my nostalgia when watching old Stampy videos was Minecraft’s old music, especially Haggstorm. The song has a charm to it that I love. With Stampy’s commentary mixed with the music, it gives a relaxed vibe that I miss when watching newer videos. Anyways, glad that Stampy is doing well and still wishing him the best on his future endeavours.
The realization that I’ll never be a kid in 2014 kicking back watching Stampy and DanTDM absolutely kills me. I’m just glad that it happened, I’ll never forget

It’s crazy how wonder quest came out about 9 years ago It was really impactful for me even if it wasn’t stampys lovely world, it was formatted like a kids show but I genuinely still enjoy it, it’s super endearing
Thanks for this amazing interview, very nice to watch. I liked the editing, with the relevant video clips being shown, and the music choices in the background. If Stampy sees this, we need a behind the scenes video of how you optimised the Lovely World for uploading. Maybe too nerdy for some, but the technical aspects and mending redstone would be really interesting to see! It goes without saying Stampy's videos have been a positive part of my life for years now, and I'm happy to see that he's enjoying his work at the moment. Thanks again!
It’s surreal to think that Stampy played such an important role as a childhood inspiration of mine. I wanted to do minecraft videos but of course my access to recording content was much more difficult as a 7 year old. But now I’m 19 and found my own way to getting to experience the thrills and joys of making content for an audience like Stampy did, doing things I really enjoy all because Stampy was around to originally inspire me.
