Bob Rock: why is every song in the key of E minor? James Hatfield: cause its the lowest note 😡 Bob: just tune down? James: *For Whom the Bells Tolls in the key of D minor*
bbthegreat_ classic metal or classic-al metal, because classic metal is, Black sabbath, Judas Priest, Motörhead? Classical metal is maybe ghost, but I would consider them symphonic
Anybody have ideas on how to get the bass to sound like that irl? I'm not a bassist, I play guitar so I don't know if its similar in terms of tuning and stuff.
Same tabs as the bass, but just use an octave pedal to get that low bass sound. As for cliff’s tone, im not too sure what pedals/amp settings he uses so just look up a vid on it
That opening bassline sounds outright DEMONIC, thanks for this!
Cameron Tyson sounds like trujillos bass 😂
Nigga this shit is Godly the demons ain’t got shit of this baseline
For real now, that intro sounds *SICK* af!
FOR REAL
I fucking love it. Way more unsettling.
I'm probably just imagining things, but I'm pretty sure I hear the bass much better in this tuning
it's because it's mixed differently
I agree
Why the hell did this give me the chills
This is music from the gods, Wild Will.
It should!!
This sounds like it’s from another dimension 🤘🏼

So Metallica used incorrect tuning?
more likely that the tape was sped up a little bit for some reason
Why does James Hetfield sound like Ivan Moody from 5FDP? Also I love the sound of it!!
For Whom the Bell Scares
Wow.
Now it sounds like the Sabaton cover.
