The sad thing is there's absolutely no consequences for a passenger that accuses a driver for whatever, EVEN IF there's video proving otherwise. Uber/Lyft know which passenger it was that made the false allegation, but because they wanna protect the privacy of the riders, there's no way you can know for sure who it was and what they said to get you deactivated. That's some BS! For as long as these two ride share platforms have been around, you would think they would know that people will make up stuff to get out of paying a fare, and you would think they'd already have a fix for stuff like that. How about first verifying if the allegation is even true or real before placing a drivers account on HOLD or whatever?

I am so over all the low life people I keep picking up that don't give two shits about my $80,000 car nor my personal space leaving trash, food smashed in the carpet, eating and vaping in my car without even asking... The money that these companies are paying us drivers are definitely not worth all that bullshit. We need to be regulated already! I may be moving on to bigger and better things but all the drivers need fair regulation because we are not employees and we are working our asses off for not enough return. Realistically all the drivers are upside down making less money than their mileage. That's not right!

Michael can also mail a copy of the judgment to Lyft's Legal Team. The address is on the website under Terms of Service and Privacy. I took a company to small claims in which I purchased a spa package that they refused to fulfill because they were going out of business in 1 week. I criticized them for selling me the package fully knowing that they were closing. They refused to refund, they ran me around with phone calls and many letters, but once I won my court case, I send a copy of the summary judgement to their legal team. I got an email a few days later confirming that they were issuing a check.
So, Michael, send your summary judgment to Lyft's Legal Name, the legal paperwork. Doesn't matter if it's sent by the court, you send it, too, along with a letter requesting payment be fulfilled and reactivation.

This followed temporary deactivations for supposedly smelling of alcohol (i dont drink) and for cancelling a ride over someone race (i cancelled because i had an emergency at home and the cancellation took place before the pickup so i had no idea what the passengers race was. I had done over 7000 rides driving PT mostly on weekends during bar hours over a 6 year period and had a rating of 4.95+ and was a Lyft Platinum driver. I held Platinum Benefits and was removed with 5.0 rating with over 5700 rides. On my Uber account I have been blocked for well over a year, which is legitimately my fault in terms of the Covid Safety Measures I loosely complied with back then, which still yielded a couple of false or flakey claims during those times against me. My Uber rating at blockage was Diamond Tier, 4.96 and 100% acceptance rate with 17,000+ rides in Chicago on overnights. Either way Uber and Lyft could care less. Its such a joke that drivers are at the mercy of a lousy robot in most cases of fraud and slander from passengers. I was deactivated from Lyft over false accusations of prejudice according to Lyft, passenger waited 2 to 3 weeks to make complaint I asked what exactly was I being accused of Lyft said their words not mine something about the color of their skin, and I told lyft it wasn't true, was also told that passenger had no proof. asked if I had dashcam I said yes but after 2 or 3 weeks later I couldn't prove I wasn't lying due to cam working on a loop they then said that he couldn't see why the passenger would make up such a story with passenger have high ratings doesn't say what his ratings actually was, I was like I'm a 5 star driver with Platinum status and have been a 5 star driver for almost 5 years and that I don't discriminate against anyone, that I depend on Lyft to pay my bills and know that I would have everything to lose if I were to act that way towards my passengers. I even explained that my family was a mixture of different creeds. said they would do a further investigation. I asked what would happen in the meantime Lyft said account would remain temporarily deactivated. I said well if my account isn't restored I expect Lyft to give me the information that I'm being accused of because I would be filing a lawsuit against the passenger for determination of my character But as soon as we were done on the phone Dennis had made his decision right then and there he seemed me guilty from the start of our conversation. I received email saying I was permanently deactivated no further investigation was ever done. I tired disputing it through email but just kept getting the same answer then they come back and said to many unsatisfied customers experience not possible my ratings speak for themselves. 5 stars
I have been temporarily suspended in the past because I had to make a passenger get out of my car on July 4th because she was drunk and threatened to kick my ass and calling me a white b but was reinstated when I told them that I had already reported it the night before. and now since September 24th 2022 when they shut me down I have been told to stop trying because it's not going to happen I will never be able to use or work on the Lyft platform.
I've been driving for both companies but I favored Lyft over Uber I miss working on the Lyft platform I was always loyal to Lyft. Got my jacket granted I've only taken almost 4000 rides with Lyft. In 4 and half years compared to maybe a little over a thousand rides with Uber and I only have that many with Uber since I was removed from Lyft cause it was my only choice left. On both platforms for about the same amount of time.

There are many other issues! Drivers needs to unite and fight against these wrongdoers! In every state we must create an independent union unrelated to UBER and Lyft staff! In California, all the prices went up due to inflation except UBER and Lyft who lower their prices from January 1st. The list goes on! This why we need to create an independent union in every state and work together!

    • @HarringJess
      @HarringJess Год назад +2

Same! You as a driver are getting ahead of them trying to report you. I call immediately after a rider is rude if the ride ends up completed. There was a rider who came to my car last weekend who started off completely rude, and he was literally going 1min up the street. He was probably frustrated that no one was taking him based on his 4.77 rating. It was literally just him and he opened my passenger door.
I said, "Sir, if you don't mind, can you kindly close the door since its raining and cold outside. I'm happy to roll down the window to speak with you." He slammed the door and said, "Forge it." I'm like, "Ohhhh-kkkk." So I sat there to wait out the 5min timer, and he came back to the car wondering if I would take him.
I said, "I'm happy to take you but you started off the conversation rude and in a bad mood. I don't know if its the rain or you were waiting a long time to be matched with me, but your not going far, so there is no reason to be disrespectful. But its up to you - you can choose to get in or choose to wait for me to cancel so that you're matched with another driver. And your behavior was caught on camera because everything is being audio and video recorded."
He closed the door LOL! That was my answer.

Lyft sucks. Uber is bad but lyft driver pay sucks and then they want drivers to say yes to breaking all the TOS and allow customer to lie and mess up your vehicle. One thing i would suggest is activate the phone cameras in lyft and/or uber apps if you drive for them again so they can see on their own app quickly on what occured.
I think when customers send notices claiming driver did something, then the customer should be paused with using the app service until a true investigation is completed. This will cause those who use it all the time, to not put false statements in because if a driver truly traumatized a rider by something the driver said or did, then the customer wouldn't care or want to use app.
And they should call it 'pause' or 'temporary restriction' because they are changing the meaning of a true 'deactivation'. To me, deactivation means you fired. Don't fire someone until you have done a true investigation, just whacky how a driver is labeled guilty before any investigation..smh
Like who fires and rehires like that several (9) times...craziness...smh

I don't have dashcam evidence of the 5 false claims, but neither does lyft or the passengers. It's my word vs theirs. "Passengers said x" isn't evidence because passengers are financially incentivised to lie and get their money back.

I commented on another of your videos last week saying that Lyft sent me an email threatening to deactivate me for cancelling rides which I cancelled bc I felt unsafe due to female account holders ordering the ride and I show up to pick up Stacy and instead it’s her inappropriate man w/bad behavior (& no one ever said they were ordering a ride for their guest) or the no car seat thing or the unaccompanied minors etc…you know just me trying to be safe essentially. Well they deactivated me today which I find highly suspect since they threatened me last week. Today they said a passenger said I was driving recklessly and I was on my phone. Neither of those things would I ever do. I’m a 5 star driver for Lyft for 3 years and 2 months having completed 2404 rides with them and a 4.96 star driver with Uber at 3401 rides in 4 years. No warning no nothing just vague and ambiguous about the whole thing and immediate deactivation. So I started the process on Gig Rocket to get my account back and I do plan on suing them if they do not reactivate my account. I’m here in Philadelphia PA.
