Loni is right… time… I don’t spoil kids with things.. some of my family and friends that have kids.. they give them things to play with because they don’t want to be bothered and when I come around, their kids flock to me and want to spend time with me.. they don’t want gadgets and the television, they want their parents time and attention and to be held. I know during this pandemic some parents were going crazy spending time with their kids on lock down because they’ve never done it… always had them busy so they can talk on the phone and do their own thing. No dinner together nothing. .. I mean I bought my niece and nephew stuff but that was once in a blew and I spent time with them… that’s what they remember. My siblings and I didn’t always have that because my father abusive and he kept everybody separated and we weren’t allowed to talk to my mother or give affection. Or say the world I love you… when she escaped and got us away from him… our time together was short-lived and she’s been gone for 28 years. We never celebrated the holidays or had. We grew up up extremely poor and hungry all the time, no new clothes nothing… I get that some people grow up and have an amazing childhood like the Mowrys and so birthdays and holidays mean something to them (even lying about Santa clause, 😁😁😁 kids always cry when parents want to give them to a big fat white man, which I wish secretly parents would stop doing that 😂😂😂 the kids are going to grow up and realize gets been lied to about Santan clause 😂) I love to see kids happy and not being neglected. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. It’s nice to see that Tamara and her whole family grew up never going without… no abuse nothing. People think I grew up privileged and had an amazing childhood but it was the opposite. I chose to not let that define me and try to push past the pain. I always try to help women in domestic violence situations because I know my mom would want me too, I wish she would have had more help but these men are something else. He still living… crazy, no jail time… nothing… but God has the final say.
my brother got a firetruck for Christmas one year and it had a loud siren and it got soak and wet in the rain one time and the SIREN did not stop working like my mom wanted it to it still worked

Exactly I work well with kids for that reason, I listen and talk to them like real people and show that I care.
