Outstanding bounce back win. This was a win that the braves felt like they needed. Max Fried just wow, absolutely outstanding throwing a complete game giving up just two runs, he was absolutely locked in tonight. And what a great night for the offense finally, Homers from Duvall, Ozuna, and Olson. Harris also had a great game. These are the offensive displays that we love to see. AJ Smith Shawver getting called up tomorrow looking for the series win. Let’s go braves #ForTheA
Another gem pitched by Fried carrying a no-hitter into the 6th inning, good game as the Braves bats came to life tonight playing long ball, would that this could be more consistent like much of last year, GO BRAVES!!!!!!!!!
Great job of pitching by Fried! Old School! Looked like Glavine! Also tip of the hat to Snitker for allowing Fried to finish what he started. Now days that's rare! Good job.

@@millypoo7713 More relevant is subjective, he is playing better baseball now than I remember. Yes I've been watching the Braves and baseball in general for a long time...thx. I also played baseball for 14 years...take care.
@TopWorldTalentHD I hear ya. I played as well. Last season, Ozuna hit .241 w/ RISP. This season, he's hitting .412 & Slugging .882 w/ RISP. Much better in the clutch! He's NL MVP if the votes came in today.

Somebody(Snitker)needs to address Acuna's lack of hustle, running to 1st on a grounder. I don't care how routine it is, you should always run at full speed and not start trotting when the ball is thrown to first base.

Steele got through 6 with 2 runs and an 86 pitch count. But he's not supposed to need special treatment ... 100 pitches for him so give him another inning. Ok I can see that. Also lefty ace to lefty ace duel so leave him in. And yet, I knew we should have gone to the bp for the seventh. The pressure of going up against fried and the fact that the Cubs were not giving steele any runs ... I thought we were lucky to get through six with him and I would have gone to the bp. Not that that's the right call necessarily. It's May still and Steele is expected to pitch 100. He didn't make it. But going with Cuas here is like punishing Steele for not getting through 100 pitches with just 2 runs. I guess we're not going to try and steer around deficiencies just to try and keep us in a game we're losing. So with these decisions, Steele gets tagged for 5 runs instead of 2, and Cuas proves to the world that he is unreliable. and the Cubs show the world that they are still not hitting like they were in April. That was a dirty laundry game.

He's been injured all season. You can't expect him to return to form immediately after that long of a break. Besides, he only gave up 3 runs, not the worst

@millypoo7713 Yea recovering from an injury is not the easiest thing to do and not all pitchers return to their previous form on the mound, Mike Soroka didn't ( at least not to this point ) which is likely why the Braves shifted him off to your cross town rivals the White Sox, it will be interesting to see how Kyle Wright bounce back from his Tommy John surgery with the Royals in 2025 ( the Braves traded him as well ).
