Thank you so much for sharing this and particularly for including some of your frustrations and decision making processes. It is always helpful to hear how others address these things. I enjoyed the comment about not being able to imagine doing the different little mushrooms in different colors. I guess I must be a little more compulsive as doing the different colors and keeping track was what drew me to think about doing that one. Again, you provide inspiration for others which is always a blessing.
So many great pages, what a fantastic accomplishment! Also thank you for mentioning you didn't love all your pages because I feel like when I mess on up I give up on completing the book. So this was helpful. 😊 😊😊
Good evening.Congratulations!Very beautiful colouring.I saw in Johannas Basfords site that a new book with small pictures is going to be published in November.I hope to review it .I think it will be suitable for someone with a busy schedule.
Congratulations Rachel I only seem to have coloured a few pictures in this book l have some Hanna Karlzon and Maria Trolle books and they keep calling me back hope you have a great weekend xx
Fantastic achievement and beautiful colouring ❤ I am such a long way from finishing one book - have too many 😬 but it’s on my list of things to achieve one day! 😁
Might I suggest a sticky note with the pencils used on the finished pictures? Also am so pleased to see you using metallic pencils. I love them and so many of the ladies say they shouldn’t even put them in with our pencils😂
I always worry that a sticky note will leave a nasty mess in my book which is why I do not use them. I do write down the pencils on single sided books as there is a blank page. Maybe I will have to write it on the colour palette test page
A fascinating look through of the entire book, completed. I am only just starting out on my adult colouring journey, (70yrs of age!!!), so this is really useful. When you talk about the tombow pens….are these the tombow watercolour pens? Also the pastel pencils, did you use a fixative or anything. I expect you answer these questions on the relative videos…but just watching this, those are the two questions that are in my mind at present. Thankyou for your videos.
I have tombow pencils not the pens and they are regular ones, not watercolour. I did not use a fixative on the pastels, I do have a couple of fixative sprays which I have reviewed (ruclips.net/video/YCKJ8e6s6yQ/видео.html) but I often prefer not to bother.
You mentioned color cue cards often in this video but I don't remember you ever doing a tutorial with one. I think we would all like to know exactly how to use them. What do you think? Oh, I mean a regular picture not a mandala. Thanks.

Rachel can I ask what you put behind the page when you colouring and Ergo soft still only 36 sets available. From my first color pencils where Ergo soft. I LOVE polychromos got a big set. We quite limited in New Zealand. You got a nice voice 😊
Thank you. I put a sheet of plain paper behind the pages when colouring (unless I am using blending fluid or watercolour when I use a laminate). When the book is large, like this one, I use some paper cut from a cheap roll of kids colouring paper. Staedtler have said that they will be discontinuing Ergosofts, so the 36 will be the maximum set you can get now. They are concentrating on their Design Journey pencils which have a larger range of colours. I think there are 72.
@@RachelHendersonColouring I'm looking for ideas because I have 6 Johanna Basford books now (3 gifted to me by RUclipsr Wendy's colouring) and I haven't started any of them. @@gagaforgluing8247 It is easy for me to say but I would just go for it. When I first started everything was quite basic, but I had fun and that was all that mattered. I am sure you will find that once you start, you will be more confident to do more in the books.
