      Yes it is. Make sure you stay on top of CCScases.com and do UWorld on timed random blocks if you don't think you are not going to finish the qbank by the end of your prep.

    Do you lose points if the PE isn't specific and you do "all" bc I know simulated time gets lost but even if simulated time is 2 weeks as long as it's not real time that's the main issue.

      @SK-iv2ll 2 года назад

      Do you lose points for cancelling an order that shouldn't have been ordered

    • @SK-iv2ll
      @SK-iv2ll 2 года назад +1

      I've been reviewing the common questions and entire platform on CCS on the usmle website but still had these questions
      I'm confused if I want to see the patient in the office in 5 days do I have to transfer them home (because that sounds like an in-patient nurse when I know that's not the case). So if I see the patient on Monday and then want to see them again on Friday, can I just click on 'obtain results or see patient later' and then click on Friday?
      Brand vs generic - if we want to do generic treatments, would that show up or there's a possibility only brands could show up?
      I'm the IM resident so if I don't consult rheumatology for example, would I lose points? In the case of a pediatric surgery or something of that nature, I understand but speaking in terms of consults generally.
      If the patient is feeling 'worse' does that mean you could be going in the wrong direction or not necessarily?

    • @AzfarBasuniaMD
      @AzfarBasuniaMD  2 года назад +1

      @@SK-iv2ll Lots to unpack here. I do not believe you lose points for ordering all of physical exam (I frequently did so for most of my questions), and I don't think you lose of simulated time either. If you need to see the patient at a later date (say until a specific test results), you can send them home, advance the clock until the results come back and then bring them back to the appropriate location (usually the office). For cancelling unnecessary orders, I am not sure if you lose points for cancelling prior to order execution. For brand vs generic, I stuck with generic treatments, and I don't believe only brand name would show up. For consults, I don't think you lose points for consulting more, but you will lose point if you don't consult a specific required service. So, I always erred on the side of consulted more. When a patient is feeling worse, it could indicate that you are headed in the wrong direction or it could also indicate that you didn't order symptom relief meds (zofran for N/V, acetaminophen/morphine for pain etc).

    How was your SIM 1&2 scores mine where 220 on both exams when i took it this month.How actually these scores relate to real exam i mean am i going increase in score from the Practice exams and How about NBME for usmle step 3 ? Thankyou, greatly appreciated for the video awaiting for your response

    • @AzfarBasuniaMD
      @AzfarBasuniaMD  2 года назад +1

      I did not take Sim 1 or 2. I just needed a passing score since radiology fellowships seldom care about Step 3. I had around 70% correct on UWorld. 220 are good scores on Sims. How are your UWorld percentages? Do you see any weak areas in the Sims? Do you have trouble with timing? The point of the Sims or NBME is to gauge if you have any weak areas or test taking issues like timing. I have heard that the Sims can under-predict your actual score, meaning you may end up doing better on the actual test.
