  • Cyber Shibuya Time lapse 4K is a short cinematic time lapse video of one of the most famous crossings in the World. I edited this video in a sort of Akira / Blade Runner inspired Neo Tokyo style to create an awesome short sequence.
    The gear used was :
    Fuji XT-3
    Fuji XF 35mm f1.4
    Laowa 9mm F2.8
    Viltrox 85mm F1.8

It's time lapse and a couple of hyper-lapse (cause the camera moved forward and backward, I counted 2 of those clips)....You got that right, neo-tokyo, Cloud Atlas.....Blade Runner, I don't know, not enough grit and pollution. What night pollution filter did you use ? With all the high tech signage, I would have expected some glare, but you got all that under control and you have a parade of subdued blues. Looks like a lot of work went into this and it does payoff in your cinematic video..excellent

thanks for the feedback mike, really appreciate it, i did one hyper-lapse up to the shibuya 109 building, the rest were all done on tripod and shot in raw, i then edited the raw files to make them look a bit more stylistic and then keyframed some movements into the shots. it was my first attempt at both a time lapse and a hyper-lapse so this was just a trial run really. I also used the moment cinebloom 10 filter on a couple of shots as well, that really helps bring down the harsh glare for sure. The whole thing probably took around 8 hours to film it, get home and edit it together and I was really happy with this as a first attempt
