  • Tokyo 4k cinematic night video with the Mitakon 35mm F0.95 and the Fuji XT-3.
    The first of a new Visions in Tokyo video series where I will be making short cinematic sequences shot around Tokyo.
    This evening I decided to try and see how well the Mitakon 35mm f0.95 serves as a lens for creating video in low light and to make things even more interesting I coupled it with the Moment Cinebloom 10 filter. The footage was shot in Eterna wand edited in final cut pro x
    This first video was just really an experiment to test out this lens in and around my local neighbourhood and see how well it handles low light. There is certainly room for improvement but this is an area I want to spend more time and energy on. I hope you enjoy the video.

    Let me know your thoughts on the video, this is my first time in a long time filming anything like this. How do you feel the mitakon handled the job?

    This is awesomely done! Did you setup a tripod?

    • @Visions_in_Toyko
      @Visions_in_Toyko  3 года назад +1

      Yes I did, unfortunately the xt3 doesn’t have ibis so handheld shooting can be an issue.

      Yes do it, I would love to see what you come up with

      I think it’s certainly worth doing, I literally just went out for about 2 hours and had a little walk, set my tripod up places and just kinda let it run for a few minutes not looking like I was paying attention to it so that people didn’t stop what they were doing. People in japan much like anywhere, if they see a camera will wait until you have finished or walk round the back of it to not get in the way (which is obviously what I didn’t want) so I tried to look like I was waiting and not filming most of the time I just frame my shot, focus where I want it, press record then do other things like look at my phone or randomly look in other directions so that people ignore what I’m doing, I shot it at 60fps and edited at 30fps as well so it gives a nice slowed down feeling.
