I had XXR 527 17x9.75 on my Sonic very similar setup mine looked just like yours but after I test drobe it it ride like crap they have a lot of toe in the rear and if it's not right its sketch . I really don't care about tire wear if I'm going to camber stance a car out but the toe is important for drivability. .so how many washers top and bottom got you the correct toe and what total camber did it turn out to be ?
I know this is a late comment but ima do it anyways so for your toe issue that your had after the install. Now to adjust the toe all you need to do is add a washer or 2 to the top right bolt that you didnt unscrew all the way on the mount other than that I'm doing this to my cruze rn and you provided me a couple good points so thanks man
I haven’t had the Cruze in awhile, I don’t fully remember the details but after getting an alignment I never had any irregular tire wear issues. The washers I initially added seemed to be just fine. Does that help?
i hope your adding camber to get it back to stock so it dont wear your tires. and i hope those studs sticking out of the back of your spacers are hitting your wheels.
Jordan Mitchell no definitely not stock, having camber increased my Corning stability as well as decreased the rubbing on the much wider wheels. And I didn’t have any problems with the studs
The stance scene dudes don't care about tire wear or safety for that matter, but for what it's worth, this guys set up is really mild compared to some of the stuff I see in the Euro and JDM stance scenes.
Austin, those washers are quite thick. Please note that you should not use more than two washers stacked. For a street vehicle I personally wouldn’t go past 1/2 degree unless I was really blitzing the roads then my max would be 1 degree. The object is to have even tire wear for your driving style.
Brian Barreiro they will definitely work with any car. The goal is to have your wheel sit flush with your fender. Some measurements are required to decide what size you need
