Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.

This was recommended to me on RUclips after watching dance moms n now I need to find a way to binge watch every year!! What a great show, I remember seeing it on tv when I was younger but I didn't know it was this entertaining. As a Canadian who loves dance but family could never afford to put me in dance, AND living in a country that doesn't have proper cheer. I'm living vicariously through these dance and cheer shows, I can't believe I never watched the DCC comp
I was tearing up every other clip. Imagining being cut or finally making the team after years of dedication. Wowww y'all got me in my feels over a competition show 😂♥️
Sadly the show was cancelled on CMT😭 so as of right now you can only watch the old seasons! They are on paramount and Hulu!
They said they are working on finding a new channel or streaming service to pick up the show so there won’t be a season for this years tryouts 😥
Idk if this will be the same in Canada, in the US, newer Samsung smart tvs that come with Samsung TV Plus channels, there's a DCC channel. It all DCC all the time. from 2007 to 2018 then repeats.
I can’t believe you guys have me sitting here crying with you. I haven’t danced since 1988! I still remember how it feels not only auditions but opening nights waiting for the reviews to come out, praying we still had a job!
Please do either a best of or show Jackie Bob’s journey. I’d also love to see Rachel W’s journey and more of her including any footage that may not have necessarily aired on tv. Rachel was for sure my favorite season 13 rookie and then I’d love to see more of my favorite season 14 rookie Amanda. It would also be amazing to have a best of Maddie and show more clips that maybe weren’t included her journey video. Same with seeing more best or or journey videos from sone of the older seasons as well as seeing every single point announcement ever plus any footage of each year’s point.
Chelsea and her storyline about friends hurting as why she made toxic comments about their situation not once, but twice, and in front of Kitty is as ridiculous/ believable as Kaitlin Legrand and her wild " got pulled over, in a construction zone, aliens stole my phone, got a ticket, saw some pixies, went to Neverland, cops said its ok and didn't fine me, drove home, ate some cereal, switched cars with my mom, called my local state representative, then came back and that's why I could answer my phone when I no showed for practice" story.
Kelly & Judy's looks said it all and I snort laughed when she said... Nope, your pants are clearing on fire missy! Lolololol

I wish CMT wood dust off all the film that they have on Rachel W, DCC literally treats this woman like she's a walking ghost. If you don't want to do a journey on her, you can at least do a highlight video of her because it doesn't always have to be a doom-and-gloom story for these amazing women.
She probably will get a journey/highlight video when she retires
also not all candidates or cheerleaders want to be focused on the show. sometimes it makes them uncomfortable so they will still be there, jut not shown as much on the show.
Your kidding right all they do is take video and pictures of her she’s great but it’s like she’s the only one that matters on this team!

Even some of the vets that were there for years struggled at times in the beginning and some of them ended up getting cut. That even happens on the team. Every year during training camp there's always at least one vet on the team that the coaches call in and tell them they won't be on the roster for the upcoming season. And some of those have been future Hall of Fame guys.
I think every season they say that it is the most competitive year yet

My heart broke in Season 11 when Amy got cut - I would have taken her over Kelsey. I absolutely respect her dedication and having tried out for two years myself, it was nerve wracking waiting to find out whether or not I'd made it to the next round.
Yes! I was so rooting for Amy & broke my hearts they cut her on the last day. They should have given her chance like they McKenzie back in the day.
@@gr82bdanyelle I thought Amy looked amazing in the uniform and when she was cut I honestly cried. I was so heartbroken for her. However I think she also handled being cut very maturely - she was upset obviously but she didn't get dramatic about it.
That was truly the cruelest cut

Wow they really cut Lauren Castillo for that? Anyone can put that uniform on and its nothing but clothing until the right girl puts it on. So yes, the girl does matter.
This is a lot like modeling. The window of “prime” years is limited and once the younger talent comes along it’s very hard to compete.
Maddie will always be my fave! She’s adorable and sweet
Lauren was right. The girl makes the uniform. It’s just fabric. Who cares. The caliber of girl who wears the uniform is what makes it special.

I thought Lauren Castillo’s answer was good. The uniform itself is just a costume but the women who wear it and what they represent is what makes it special. It’s kind of like being a Disney Cast Member in that you have to have a lot going for you & be confident in yourself well before you get to that role … so it’s definitely the girl that makes the uniform, whoever she may be.
I kind of want to see a veteran who is cut, come back the next season. It seems we only see rookies do that...never veterans

I think it's the idea that they got the title and sometimes that's all they need to launch careers in their chosen fields. Plus the idea of going from vet back to rookie likely makes them feel like being demoted.
Has a vet ever come back and actually reauditioned and been successful? I don't think so?

Many of the veteran cuts, were struggling or invisible rookies during their first year.
Maddie came along way. One of my faves!

I like how they cut the veteran cuts compilation so they didn't mention anyone they cut based on weight (Cali, Breelan & Kali) because they always get so much backlash on those times Kelli and Judy call the very skinny girls fat.
Even Chelsea was cut based partially on weight, they told her not to come to cameo day along with some others because of weight gain.
Because they need to stay around the same weight they auditioned at. Those are the rules...they are professional athletes...why is this always debated. Its the rules.

@@lisaforbes7325 I'd be very surprised if those women menstruate during the season. Periods can be manipulated with various forms of birth control. That's what I'd do. Bleeding on those white shorts would be embarrassing. Some bc can cause bloating, but not all.

Attitude is Everything & Chelsea shows she has a Bad attitude & Needed to be removed. The thing about her bad attitude is she doesn’t see it of how she comes across. You can sure tell she Really pissed off Kelly & you Don’t want to piss off Kelly who can make the decision to remove you in an instant of a second
I didn't really understand why the blonde veteran who whore a pink dress to the interview was told her dress wasn't appropriate. It was full coverage, a plain colour like what others wore, short sleeves with a long necklacec. I thought it was more than appropriate.
The dress had cut out on the sides, showing exposed body.

I get that they get exposure and some showgirl experience, but WOW, you get more freelance modeling or working at McDonald's ffs!!
It’s just straight up s*xism. A lot of these girl get serious injuries and spend so many hours and are professional dancer yet they don’t get treated fairly :(

She came out of the locker room after a talk with Kelli and Judy where the girls all wait like on the show and said "the fatties are still on the team" and kitty heard her and turned her in

I hated that Caila and other girls that got cut cause you can really tell she not only loves to dance but uplift people by going to volunteering events. I really think she shouldn’t have been cut for their weight and she had no other faults. This is BODY SHAMING!!!
Did you see Carmen Butler's reaction. That girl was really devastated. Carmen Butler got cut and she was a 4th year veteran.
I think it's so disgusting that old, fat, middle aged, balding men sit around a table and judge these young women. Oh, she gained 2 lbs, she's out! Meanwhile they have a beer gut that hangs for days. It's absolutely disgusting.
I understand getting cut for bad interviews and poor dancing but weight is just sad and cruel, I thought Breelans was so unfair
@@CrazyChicKayli Breelan's solo wasn't all that good. She didn't perform well during the field audition.
@@CrazyChicKayli I still think after all these years breelans and Collins were unfair. Yeah they gained a little weight but that would easily have been lost. Breelans busted her tail to make that team. She could have bounced back into shape easily. I just think they thought they wouldn't make it as vets when they barely made it as rookies

I think it’s because it was considered “too sexy” as the sides were cut out so you could see her stomach area. I’m honestly upset every time I watch that because their uniforms cover practically nothing, so I’m not sure why I they would care if a girl is showing a little skin during their panel interview?

It doesn't seem right to make the uniform shorter and shorter and expect them to cover themselfs up at the same time. Especially since this is in Texas and it's HOT outside. But to be fair: Kelli tried her best to defend her!
@@ma-rl6ce You have to remember this is an INTERVIEW. DCC is a job like anything else. You have to dress appropriately. You have to well covered. There are plenty of ppl like who don't know how to dress to go to an interview.

In the beginning she definitely seemed young. Her second time as tv she seemed to have matured a bit more and only grew
I mean she was an actual teenager when she first auditioned. She got cut then came back and persevered, performed for 5 years and was ultimately point of the triangle. She pretty much grew up on the squad.
