Back in the 90s, i was at Klondike days in edmonton, and uh-oh had a booth there where they picked random kids to be part of their show. It wasn't televised. But i was one of the kids who got picked, and got to compete. One event was standing in one of those air tube things trying to collect a certain colour ping pong ball. And the other was a spice girls sing along. I lost at both, but damn was it exciting as a kid to part of uh-oh.
"everybody has a thing" commercial I've always wondered if those kids grew up doing that thing. Like did the t rex kid get a job in sound design or something
I met Scott Yaphe at a convention a few years ago, he was so incredibly nice and friendly. Got to wear an on-screen jacket and snap a few pics with him, truly awsome 😊 Great video
The yop add at 1:14 really shows the progress in technology. the mouth movements back then were really good effects and editing. Today anyone with a smartphone.
YTV and Canadian TV in general was legit unstoppable back in the day! So many great shows came from the 90’s and very early 2000’s. It’ll never be what it once was but I’m just glad we got to experience it.
You may have lost some people by saying Canadian TV & mentioning YTV, but you gained a subscriber just from that. I've always wanted to produce a show that was a combination of Uh Oh! & Video & Arcade Top 10. Events like carry the games (inspired by my blockbuster days) or beat a certain boss in a specific game to proceed. I know I'll probably never get around to doing it, but it's fun to imagine what it could look like.
Channel 16 was YTV where I grew up! It was my fav channel until my late teens! Started watching the Zone when I was 9! I used to love watching anime on Bionix when I was older! Channel 10 was TVO! Loved watching it when I was even younger and it was still on in the house when I got older when my little sister was watching her shows lol

This video is perfection. The entire beginning of the video, I remember every single commerical and show you mentioned. Freaky Stories was fucking amazing. And carlos does Entertainment Tonight Canada, now. Thanks for the blast from the ghe past, we lived the same childhood 🥹
In the last while I've thought about that show Uh Oh! , it truly was the embodiment of YTV. Seeing the end credits of Digimon at 2:35 - whew! Still remember when I got cable and could watch Adventure 02 and being so confused. Wasn't sure if that was Sugar's real voice either. Good work, had some laughs.
I remember when Uh-Oh came to Halifax Point Pleasant park. Wink was hosting i wanted so badly to participate. I remember picking up some slime and Wink advised me not to throw it at him since it was his only suit. I obliged and dropped the slime. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
YTV, Teletoon, MuchMusic, & Scream were some of my go-to channels in rural Canada once we got satellite. Before that, we were at the mercy of an aerial antenna and Fox Kids, Kids WB, TVO, and whichever channel aired One Saturday Morning were what was on then and I feel lucky to have grown up in that era of TV
I used to watch this every morning before school! (Or maybe it was every afternoon after school!) Just in the past year I was thinking about this show, and finally looked it up only to find out that it's partially lost media! Such a shame! In any case, it's cool to see someone make a RUclips video about it!
I’m lucky to be friends with PJ Carlos he’s a great person all around and wish nothing but the best for all the Pj’s who made our childhood so memorable
Uh-oh was everything. I started rewatching it again on RUclips it brought back sooo many memories. Sugar and Phil were my favourite pj's. I was so sad when Sugar left but she went to Hollywood, did episodes of sailor moon and thr most recent thing i saw her in was The Flash. Im proud of her for following her dream.
That was a trip down nostalgia lane. If any Canadians have Eastlink community TV (channel 10 in BC) the commercials are nothing but these same 90s PSAs and Canadian heritage moments.
Jesus this really took me back. I completely forgot how I used to watch this everyday after school. It grossed me the hell out but I just couldn’t stop watching it.
I'm from the US and when I stumbled on this video I was definitely thinking of Double Dare but I've got to say this looks like way more fun. I've gotta give my northern neighbors the win here. I'm retroactively jealous.

Haha welcome to the channel! :)
If the internet is to be believed, it's best you don't look into the sound FX kid's life. It sad.
@@saskatoonguy I didn't listen, it was sad...
@saskatoonguy Tell me what happened
They filmed that commercial at Jesse Ketchum Public School. Parts of it anyway.
I met Scott Yaphe at a convention a few years ago, he was so incredibly nice and friendly. Got to wear an on-screen jacket and snap a few pics with him, truly awsome 😊 Great video
I remember Uh-oh and it was the kid game show that I love watching as a kid. Fantastic job on the video.
Just stumbled on your channel, between the 90's jokes and really good cuts/edits you just earned my sub!
Thank you so much :) I appreciate hearing that. 🙏
The yop add at 1:14 really shows the progress in technology. the mouth movements back then were really good effects and editing. Today anyone with a smartphone.
I got to meet Carlos at Canada's Wonderland. Being a 90s kid, it was the greatest moment
YTV and Canadian TV in general was legit unstoppable back in the day! So many great shows came from the 90’s and very early 2000’s. It’ll never be what it once was but I’m just glad we got to experience it.
Holy crap this brought back memories, lol great!!!
Thank you for watching :)
This made my night. Thanks so much for letting me travel back in time to when I didn't know what life even was.
Yes! When I moved it was channel 16 and TVO was 10. Maybe we’re neighbors :P
These commercials brought back so many memories, instant like n sub
Loved Uh-Oh and always thought Wink was hilarious. Been meaning to dress up as him for halloween.. thanks for showing his wardrobe variants in quick succession!
This is awesome, thank you! I almost forgot about this show 😂 Going to show it to my two boys this upcoming weekend. Im sure RUclips has a few copies of it somewhere. Subscribed. Great wholesome content.
Omg! This video was my childhood growing up in the 90's! I remember everything here! ❤ I loved watching Uh Oh and wanted to be on this show so bad. 😆
Thank you :) I appreciate hearing that!
Thank you for making this as a person that grew up in Canada I strongly appreciate this!! ☺️☺️
I was actually one of the kids the punisher "punished". It was an honor.
I had a house hippo. Very rare.
How much to part with your House Hippo?
I had a house hippo as a pet when I was like 10 years old, time flies fast, I’m like 30 right now.
Thank you so much for bringing back great memories. TVO Kids, YTV, Teletoon, Family Channel and Treehouse raised my sister and I.
Uh-Oh, It's Alive, Radio Active, Breaker High, the House Hippo and Heritage Minute commercials. The 90s were a wild time to watch Canadian television
peak, its only been downhill since then
Great video. Thanks for the nostalgia.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So many good memories watching this show !
90s kids truly are the greatest generation.
It was a great time to be a kid
I used to watch this every morning before school! (Or maybe it was every afternoon after school!) Just in the past year I was thinking about this show, and finally looked it up only to find out that it's partially lost media! Such a shame! In any case, it's cool to see someone make a RUclips video about it!
Loved this show back in the day
...was definitely a good watch
I was on an episode of YTV’s Arcade Top 10.
It was such a trip being there and seeing that multiple episodes were shot all at once.
I lived in both USA and Canada and I got the joy to see double date and uh oh as a kid . 1988-1993
You just unlocked a whole lot of memories. The way I wanted to be on both of those shows cause they looked like so much fun!
I’m lucky to be friends with PJ Carlos he’s a great person all around and wish nothing but the best for all the Pj’s who made our childhood so memorable
As a kid, this was among my FAVORITE shows!
Holy hell….what a blast from the past…. I forgot Shaun Majumder was on that… what a Canadian legend
thanks for the nostalgia buddy
Any time :)
We must be the same age because I remember alllllllllll of this. This hit me in the nostalgia so hard.
As a 30 year old Canadian, this show, even the commercials, gave me super-nostalgia. Still waiting for my damn house hippo though! 😂
What a great video.. such a throwback!
Dude holy shit Im having a nostalgia overload. I've found my childhood in a single RUclips video. Incredible.
Jesus this really took me back. I completely forgot how I used to watch this everyday after school. It grossed me the hell out but I just couldn’t stop watching it.
An adult version of uh-oh would be amazing
Ytv was great. Couldn't get away with any of this today
I'm from the US and when I stumbled on this video I was definitely thinking of Double Dare but I've got to say this looks like way more fun. I've gotta give my northern neighbors the win here. I'm retroactively jealous.
I loves uh oh, i got to be on the live part when it rolled through my city. I was only an extra (played a zombie) lol what a time to be alive. Miss the 90's so much.
thank you, thank you very much for all this nostalgia
Very very VERY GREAT VIDEO, good work and KEEP IT UP!!
Yooo the animated roller rabbits were a lost memory until this very moment thanks
London Ontario, born in 91. This hit the spot
