90Km is the sweet spot for cruising "normal use" without vibration - 100/110Km Handles well at 120kms 140Kms and notice you're getting sporty even without looking at the speed gauge
Watching from Japan. am a Japanese. My first BMW was 1996 F650 the original Funduro. Tried kind of top speed once, about 165km was so on. Cause genuine large screen it was better. But both mirrors actually.
Got my F650GS about 2 months ago and I'm still looking for that box you mount on the back. Had an issue with the fuel line from the fuel pump rupturing, I suppose it's because the bike is basically 20 years old (only 50k on the clock). I just replaced the fuel pipe section (about 200mm). Now she's behaving herself again... I've only pushed her to 90km/h so far. Havn't had a chance to check her top speed, but your vid gave me a rather good indication of what to expect.....thx.
Hi friend , what mpg our kml would i get riding at 110kmh ? Need a nice cheap highway comuter and dont know if i should go buy a 650gs , a cb500x or an nc700/750 . Thanks and noce video
Hi there! Where did you get the high front screen? 3 or 4 screw holes on it? I'm looking for it for mine too, but it's not so easy to find out, with the right price too... Thanks! Cheers from Italy!
3 screw holes. I think this is the stock version of this configuration from BMW. I bought it like this and have seen it on many others. The camera is on the chin, so it seems high, but in reality it’s still not enough)
I am thinking of getting an attachable wind deflector as now it is worse than riding a naked bike lol. Any luck in finding a screen with 4 holes?@@DavidePennaAudiorizonStudio
@@mikemack3243 hi there! I bought the Wunderlich one, it's around 190euros but it's really what I was looking for. I don't have any mosquito on my helmet anymore and the body protection it's absolutely fantastic.
Are you showing Top Comfortable Speed for you or for the engine here? I found 60mph was well within it's comfort zone and it has a claimed top speed of 109-112mph but I wouldn't even want to do 80mph for very long.
Yes, that's how it is. Top comfortable speed is 120-140 km/h for the rider, taking into account the wind, and the ability to maneuver safely without losing control of the motorcycle. Comfortable speed for the engine is 90-110 km/h (optimal speed without increased vibrations).
i have the exact same phone holder on my f650, i also noticed that 110-120 the bike is most comfortable, it feels like it can hold this speed forever, how is the mileage though? Our fuel is really bad in my country but i find it odd that i cant get to 300km on a tank
mileage 50000 km. on fuel with 95 octane, it is not possible to exceed a consumption of 4.5 liters. per 100 km. I get 270-290 km on the tank to the fuel indicator light
@@justlovetoride thank you for that confirmation. I am loving the bike so far, it has decent power to get you out of any bad situation and just thumps on without a hiccup

Keep your speed down when laden with luggage as the steering can become quite light.
Very capable bikes and well balanced with great fuel economy too.
Good advice for all bikes ,not just the Scarver, my friend has experienced this on a KTM1090 and an MT09 Tracer.

Love the short stem mirrors. Where did you purchase those?
Were installed by a motorcycle
I reached 180 km/h in my Gs 650 year 2010

90 km/h is the best speed for riding a enduro bike😉

I think the most cost-effective of them will be NC. f650gs have 4.5 L/100km, but service price from bmw

I need the one with 4 holes...
Lets carrying on searching it on the net!
See you...maybe on the road!😜

I also drive 110 for everyday driving, but the top speed that you can afford on a trip is 120-140
