“You’d make the second date”
Some say, that day Jeremy went out and purchased that very car 😂😂
7:51
are we just gonna skip past the fact Clarkson was able to identify a policewoman purely because she said a Renault Espace was ugly lmao
You can tell people never fully understood the concept of the cool wall but that's what made it great.
It's their owners what makes a car cool or uncool, that's what I think is the idea
@@sailor7537 Even a perfect car could have an uncool man driving it. MR2 comes to mind
@@Sapizanza Or every supercar ever
The two guys for the Ferrari Enzo at 9:45 understood the assignment
You can tell Jeremy just loves to interact with the audience.
honestly the interactions with the audience were a very underrated aspect of top gear, definitely not something you see in many shows
@@sirroadagain451 its also a very unusal way to have the audience
17:18 I love the moment Clarkson gets the big guy to go after Hammond, so Hammond tags in an even bigger guy.
I like how the Cool Wall went from rating cars based on how good it is to the type of people who drives them
Or the kristin scott thomas rule
Nah it wasn't really ever about how good they were.
How cool they are, not if they're any good. This is the way of the cool wall
Was never about how good the car was, it was about the intangible x factor
The progression of the cool wall parallels that of Jeremy and Richard throughout every series, you can really see their presenting skills gradually get more comedic. Brilliant stuff
7:11 And in an instant, Clarkson ended his hate for the 911.
He's always said the cool wall was about a pretty girl's reaction when you show up in that car.
H Y P O C R I T E
Renault Avantime in sub-zero is incredibly based and I won’t be told otherwise
Considering how much of a collectible it must be these days id say it was a success.....just not for Renault
23:03 Hammond eating cardboard always cracks me up must be his favorite snack
Well he is a hamster...
I wasn’t the first to arrive, but as you’ve come to expect of me I’ve done this properly
But as you would imagine**
Thats what she said
What David Beckham was s*** Batman
BMW M3
car
Ford are codsworth
Engine downloader 16 Val
All of the hosts agreed that no matter how cool is the car, the moment a household name football player gets into one they become seriously uncool.
"it was crashed by a plank who looks like shrek" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
32:48
honestly one of the most interesting and entertaining segments. Pity they got shortened down a lot when the show was aired. Personal theory: if it hadn't have gotten burned down, it would have stayed a segment until the show was cancelled in 2015.
They revived the cool wall after the fire and I think they just phased it out because the films they were making were bigger and bigger as they got better budgets. So no reason (for them) to do a segment on the cheap like they did at the beginning. All those studio bits we saw (the letters, this) were ways to keep costs down. So once they turned into a world wide phenomenon, they didn't need to do them.
Richard Porter said in his book 'on that bombshell' that as script editor he became tired of the cool wall and having to write jokes for Clarkson and Hammond to use to describe whatever cars were being put on the wall that week. I think that's one of the reasons that was it was cut. A shame, as it was always one of my favourite parts of the show
Was looking for something to watch whilst breakfast arriving at front door and now I've watched 42 minutes of cool wall and the meal is cold
I like how originally Hammond really liked the Mini Cabriolet on the news segment where he brought it up and Clarkson made fun of him for it, but on the cool wall the roles were reversed. Truly an enigmatic scale they are using
The cool wall somehow makes Hammond look even shorter than normal
"How drunk was she when she gave you her number!?!?"
ShE wAs TiEd Up!?!?!?!?
Ive said it before and i maintain, cool wall was the best in studio segment. Amazing to think it was introduced as a filler.
Love this content man, keep it up. My dad and I used to always watch this together when he lived in the UK. Gets the good memories going :)
I love how the comment of “I wasn’t the first to arrive but as you’d expect Ive done this properly” has been done to death on the other uploads lmao.
Supremely uncool
The ool Wall was one of my favorite segments & yet so often the segment made me question why I was listening to their opinions about cars.
the cool wall is hard to explain to people, "|well, 2 middle aged men yell and argue with each other about cars and use logic that makes no sense and hardly ever agree"
imagine if all of this was made in the social media era.
all the gt3 rs kids would be shitting on clarkson for disrespecting their favourite car
I can't............
Oddly, I saw something similar to what Jeremy describes at 12:45 today. Someone parked their Jaaagggg in the disabled parking space at the train station, and seemingly without a permit. XFR I think. Now you may like that car, may even think it's cool, but...
They had a personalised plate with "Jaaag" or similar. Ocean-going pillock level of uncool.
I have to disagree. Its quintessential JAAAAAAAAAAAG behaviour. Cool.
*mic drop*
@@tommcglone2867Yeah but if you have to point out it’s “Jaaagness” it’s not cool anymore….
I'll end it right here and say ALL Jags are uncool.
Yes you’d make the second date if you go out with a 911. But think of your children…
*Has yoor dad still go’ the 911?!*
Reason enough not to buy one, then!!!!
Top gear was pure entertainment
that made you entertained and agitated
with outrageous statements
and not bored with logical serious conclusions
Hammond eating the M6 is probably one of the most iconic moments
Let 'em eat it, for all I care........
One of the best segments of top gear.
I completely lost it at 31:21 😂😂
Honestly it finally clicked with me all these years later with the "not enough cool people could own one" and suddenly the entire wall makes sense
still will never understand why hammond just decided to eat the fucking bmw picture 😭
Perfect edit at the Enzo
Grand tour may be over but they should do the cool wall again.
Miss this show
7:20 jezza using democracy to change coolness, cause hed make the second date
The ford ka was Wayne Rooney’s first car gifted to him by ford
We were oh so happy and we didn't know it.
Jeremy getting a semi when the fit bird came on to him 😅😅
That was a solid film mate. Hope you make more content like this
7:08 that chick is a legend, god bless her
The OG tier list before it was cool.
Funny how Jeremy was so big on Australians being uncool, it's one of the first nations I think of when I think of cool nations! Seriously, what is he on about?! Australians are laid back, "no worries mate" surfers on the best beaches in the world, or they're hypermasculine miners drinking VB longnecks ("get that up ya") in a country where everything living is trying to kill you 24/7. I'm neither Australian nor from an Anglophone country and let me tell you right now, Australia is probably the coolest nation on earth, alongside New Zealand.
And the Monaro is a truly cracking car
Thanks for making these videos!
Ahh the COOL WALL bits
15:15 best moment 😂
Can't believe that 6 people had the gall to dislike this
Too bad they got rid of this early on. Was always interesting especially when Hammond/Clarkson disagreed.
1:21 As a person who has watched the original series, thats not the same picture they stuck on in the first series. Its a different colour, angle and background XD
It was crashed by a plank who looks like Shrek 😂😂😂😂😂
35:13 smooth asf
Jeremy clarkson was always right about bmw drivers or cars with adjustable sport modes. Everyone just cranks it to max hp and leave it in performance.
29:31 IT'S A SKODA
Anyone know what mobile phone that is jeremy is using? Looks quite cool
Fun Fact: I used to have a Volkswagen CC, and according to the Cool Wall, it’s uncool.
31:20 I found this the funniest
Gotta love Bobby day ❤
That argument for the Enzo. I'd be able to declare it uncool in one sentence. "The Pope has one....and he's sold it in a charity auction."
Who'd want to have a car that's got a client base which includes the Roman Catholic Church?
imagine if that man with the red t-shirt lived in dover
RIP to the Cool Wall.
6:45
7:27
25:04 oof
Iconic
I thought Jeremy is absolutely obsessed with the Ford GT, or is this after he had sold his Ford GT when he realised how much of a headache this car is?
The M3 is uncool and the M3 CSL is seriously uncool, they plus the Voxhaul Monaro all belong in subzero easy
I love how the classification never makes sense
The urinal joke about the enzo..... anyone know what that was about? Seen it many times and its just never clicked 🙃
Standing suspiciously close to the porcelain because they have a short flesh wand… JC is saying the Enzo is a car bought by men who are trying to compensate for something.
@Cheeseandbeansontoast ahhh you know I did have a feeling about it being that but I was never 100% sure haha.
Can some one get me the Beginning of the fridge?
37:50 😂
How the hell was the fiat 500 in cool
He is a functional sociopath
16:35
The Pontiac Aztek gotta be the least cool car ever made
Does he have a stroke at 14:44?
or something was about to dribble
Jeremy lost all my respect with the Enzo.
41:45/42:28 im sorry but WOW 😍😍😍😍
🤰bonk
First one here
BOOOOOOOOOOO you didn’t make the joke 🙄
😭
What a missed opportunity that was!
And on that bombshell.. it’s back to the studio.
Muhammad was the first to arrive, and as you'd expect, he hadn't done it properly
As soon as they put the M3 CSL in seriously uncool I stopped watching
The chainsaw.
Just THE CHAINSAW.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:50 "Are you a police woman?"
....yes.
*IGNORED*
