Really loving Udio. I'm not a musician at all, but I've been writing songs for more than 40 years. I've been going through my songbook with Udio trying to match the melodies I've had stored in my head all these years. Mostly, the results have been amazing, but I've got enough songs that I just move on if one doesn't work. Last night, I even worked on a musique conrete Revolution 9 type of piece that I'd written years ago. Surprisingly Udio AI seems to love that kind of thing, and does a great job if let it auto-generate.
I love how clear and convincing many of the voices in Udio are. You can even get it to talk without music. I'm trying to use it to generate a deep voice to narrate a movie trailer. Not sure if you covered any tips for that in this video here or not but I'd appreciate tips on how to do so, even if I need another program to separate any background music it adds. I'm mostly interested in the realistic voices.
It really is remarkable what Udio can sometimes come up with. After ending a very troubled and difficult song, I just wanted to end the day with a quick little test... and got an almost ready-to-roll song on the very first shot from an extremely simple set of commands. I simply used the prompts "marketplace, fairground, piano, sailor, choir, pop, cheerful, pop rock" (many of these prompts didn't seem to get recognized, but I left them in anyway. Then entered a verse an chorus of a "sailor song" created on chat GPT with a similarly simple prompt "write a sailor song" - a minute later, my two generations were ready, and much to my surprise, one of them was super catchy with extremely nice transitions and interesting instrumentation... I just couldn't delete it, so added the next verse, then the next, then intro and outro and I'd produced a funny and super catchy song in about 30 minutes. It sounds like a mix between Yellow Submarine, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life and some of the Merseybeat bands of the mid 60s. The intro starts with some 50s-60s action movie suspense sounds, then turns into this jolly wacky song of sailors. Udio even threw in a key transpose near the end. So sometimes getting results take a lot of work, and at others, the songs literally "write themselves" and don't even require retakes. of course, one could always question the practical use for a silly "yellow submarine"-song, but it made me smile, and that's good enough for me.
I made the same observation: sometimes all good things come toghether and it forms a very nice song and sometimes you try and try harder and it produces only garbage.
I absolutely love Udio compared to the others. I always input my own lyrics now and let Udio give me the performance. The results are amazing and i now have a catalog of over 20 hit songs. Thank you for this great video, I'm always happy to learn new tricks.
I think you could with a lot of prompts. You may have best luck making the instrumental with Udio or Suno then using eleven labs to do the voice over. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
First, it's "buhbuhbuh". Second, Udio needs a tag system like in HTML so we can write "[stutter]buhbuhbuhbuhbuh[/stutter] book!". Finally, "[bass solo]" works.
That would be great. And definitely make it easier to get the prompts to work. And thanks for the tip. I will definitely try that. Also still no luck on [bass solo] for me. Must be because I'm a bass player 🙇♂️😂 Thanks for the great comment and watching.
You have to keep regenerating it until the ai perfects the stuttering that’s what i had to do it took hrs constantly going back and forth until it got better. My song came out great
Thanks for these tips! If only the quality was better...I have an EP ready but not happy with the overall quality, sounds lofi ish. The only way I see around it for now is to split the stems and get an engineer to somehow clean it up. I'm sure one its off beta there will be an improvement but I wonder If you can still get HQ audio of ones generated in Beta...
You should try RipX Pro. I did a video showing a brief description on how to use it. You can really clean it up in there. Plus 21 day free trial. Best of luck to you!
@@ChrisUnlocksAI Yeah I saw that one. What I got from it is that you add elements, change pitch but nothing in respect to quality improvement. Will need to suss it out properly as I might have missed something
Hey Chris. Just wanted to say thanks for the material. Your content has been coming up on my feed and I enjoy what your putting out. I've noticed that your speaking volume or just volume in general is a little low. Have a hard time hearing on previous content. Thanks for the work.
Thank you, I will make it louder. I'm also going to be getting a better mic. So hopefully that will help as well. Thanks for the encouraging input, and thanks for watching.
Great Vocals @ 5:26 = Barbra Streisand I render a lot of early country music and it's not infrequent that you can tell exactly who is being generated by the model.
I have tried several things with not much luck. You could try [guitar, bass Piano only] Or [no drums] maybe put it in the description and the lyric window. Hope this helps.
I have not had good results with Udio. Most of the time with custom lyrics it are spoken not sung. Some of the voices were not very good, female voices when male voices were specified. Also sometimes get instrumental only. I get better results with Suno.
Clearly you’re not using it properly. Some lyrics work better with different music and need to be written differently. Look at similar music in Discovery and then just experiment with their prompts
I definitely think experimenting with the prompts would be your best bet. You can also try things like [male vocals] or [female singing] [group vocals] [a band of pirates singing] let me know if you still keep having issues. Thanks for watching.
The best tool I have found so far is Ripxpro. I did a video on it. It does have some noise left in the stem separation, however you can go into each track and remove it. It's a really cool tool. Hope this helps.
I hadn't really ever read lyrics with a stutter in them. You are correct, and I actually had a several people recommend that and other ways. The b-b-b-back did work better. Thank you for watching and the advice.
@@ChrisUnlocksAI My only gripe is how it reads on your lyrics page. I think it should allow us to separate our prompted lyrics and our official lyrics page on our song page.
stop promoting this trash.. you can not claim it as your own product read the legal terms.. it's udios product not yours.. thats why it remains a free site or UMG will shut them down.. the more ppl who promote the idea that ppl can use this ai music as their own.. the faster it will get shut down... sitting here with my bag of popcorn waiting.
You are incorrect. First of all, UMG can not shut down another company, all they can do is sue them. If they had a case it would already be in the works. Udio is free because it's in Beta. It will not be free forever. Suno does the same thing and it has a paid subscription plan. You 100% own what you generate per Udio terms and the same with Suno as long as you have a paid subscription. You may not like it, but this is AI producing. What does a producer do? They take an idea...and try to make it better. for the studder try putting dash like b-b-b-book
for acapella try solo then male or female see if it gets you one person
Great tips. I will try. And thanks for the great comment.
Awesome tips🎉
I have had good luck with the d-d-d-dashes for the stutter.
Also force it a bit phonetically with a stuh-stuh-stu-stughter

Are you going to be doing a tutorial in Udio's new inpainting feature?
Yes uploading it tonight
Is there a way to fix a word or phrase that was said wrong?
inpainting, paid feature
In painting and Udio recently said that you will be able to change lyrics. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching

Man it’s mind blowing but I can’t get anything close to what I’d like to hear, using ‘lofi downtempo house music with Sinatra style vocals’.
You should be able to get close. Have you tried male jazz vocals? Or Male Bigband vocals.
Also you may try Udio. Hope this helps.
