My mom had prayers on Saturday so we did all the curries then. So today I made Rice, Dhall, fried carilee, bhagi, curried soya chunks, pepper/onion/garlic with lime juice. My sister brought mango/pommecythere talkary, channa and aloo and paratha roti for me. My mom sent saheena, bhaiganee etc with chutney as well.

I particularly enjoyed all of the sweets, especially Jalabi and persaud! I also wanted to point out that in Trinidad, they refer to turmeric as saffron or hardi. Your host is cooking with turmeric, NOT saffron... They are two different spices. Fun fact, saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. The leaves are called Suhari or Cashibo (hope I spelt it properly) that you eat 0n. It makes the food taste a lot more delicious
