    What a fascinating place. You captured it so well. I honestly think the Eureka flag should be out national flag. It is definitely a place I'd like to visit one day!! Awesome work Drew!!

    Before I get more than 30 seconds in, I will say the last time I walked through that place, I was 10. That was a long time ago.

    Excellent video Drew I'm so glad to finally see some more Australian history! Hope you make a few more of these types of videos:)
    We also have a Eureka, California! Very North Coast Port Town but it's referring to the California Gold Rush of 1849! (That's why the San Francisco NFL team is called the 49ers) Looks like yours was only 2 years later in 1851. Surrounded by beautiful redwoods as well.

      I have heard of Eureka CA and that is a neat story as to why the 49ers are called that name. I really must try get to the Redwood forest in Victoria, for you 🌳

    hey there drew nice piece of history in ballarat melbourne was my home town were i was born and there are nice places with in ballarat as well as bendigo i liked this video very much drew thanks for sharing a part of australian history we can all learn a lot from things we never new or grew up seeing well done and presented of your video drew cheers look forward to your next aventure mate.😁👏👍

      I hear you there Peter. Did you live in either Ballarat or Bendigo? I spent some time living in Hoppers Crossing in western Melbourne too. Absolutely love Victoria and just wish it was more affordable 😂 .

      @@DrewsAdventuresGo unfortunately i didnt live in country towns i was in suburbian place called glenroy i hope you heard of broadmeadows was a nick name for it olsen place at the time growing up as a kid its was a rough area but your right melbourne and victoria are lovely areas to be visited them a lot as a kid panning for gold at souverine hill so much old townships they build so the public could see how and what it was like in the days that were great and it has become expensive but now i been in queensland for over 35 years and love it here but have lots of fond memories of melbourne victoria hoppers crossing i think i had done jobs with my brother in law at a bowling allay buffering the polished floor boards when the place was empty cant recall the name of the bowling alley love your video heaps drew cheers matey.

      Yes I have heard of Broadmeadows mate and Glenroy. I recall my ex calling me as I was walking around "Broady" and he was panicked thinking I was gonna get in strife with someone there cos apparently it has / had a slight reputation.
      I think it's awesome you have been able to live in so many places. I love SA but Vic and Queensland too I'm hugely fond of and spent some amazing times in my life in both states😍 💯

      I agree it'd be under a few more layers of protection I reckon haha. It was melted down and sold to London's Mint where it was turned into Gold Sovereign coins. They are themselves quite collectable and valuable 🪙 😍

    You know it’s hard. It’s about that Australian is going to war against Chinese and Russians for our king countries. And for Australian, Australian never have Civil War however imagine if Civil War has started in Australians because imagines it was a humans right? Aussie and Aboriginal was right for republic about saving water in Australia’s
