    I was very excited to see ‪@TheActiveAutowerke‬ had released a valved exhaust and wanted to finish out the build for my M2 Competition. The car now has Active downpipes, EL midpipe and the new valved exhaust. Make sure to check out all of the install DIYs and sound comparisons for those installs btw.
    This install is really easy, only a few simple tools and I cannot stress how GOOD it is! The entire character of the exhaust note is changed, significantly lower and sounds perfect. There is zero rasp or drone, and is much deeper and is very impressive. Make sure to check out the comparison video I have up on this as well.
    Don't hesitate, do this install, its absolutely worth it!

    Did those resonators come with the valved muffler, I’m hearing that my AA resonated EQ midpipe won’t mate up to the valved muffler

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  Год назад

      No.. you can order straight or resonated pipes with the EL midpipe. I had zero issues with the EL or straight mid to my stock valved exhaust as well.

    Great set up, would you like to sell the resonated connection pipes from the Active midpipe?

    Hi Stefan .After seeing your exhaust upgrade I too installed AA Midpipe & AA Axle back . My only problem is that it’s Droning.😢 Do you have any suggestions to fix this . Thank you 🙏 for your help 👍

      What downpipes are you running and did you do resonated or non resonated AB pipes?

      @@BMWDIYGuy Hi 👋 Thanks for replying.
      I’m running Stock Down Pipes & Non Resonanted pipe .

      @BMWDIYGuy  Год назад

      @@sambelmonte9797 Hmmm.. I need to find the recommendations from Active on which AB pipes for that setup. DPs will make a huge difference as well (for performance too) if you can get catless. (huge challenge now, thank you EPA you jerks) In the interim, you might want to try resonated ABs.

  • @captainminecraftist
    @captainminecraftist Год назад

    Wait do you get duplicate resonators I’m confused. Or is it an option to add a second resonator after the midpipe. I was under the impression both fit one after the other was planning on getting resonated equal length.

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  Год назад

      I have both resonated ABs and non resonated ABs for testing. I wanted to find the best combination for this car.

      @@BMWDIYGuy i was confused becuase hey have connecting pipes on their site. but it seems i can just get the midpipe and the rear exhaust and slap them together

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  Год назад

      @@captainminecraftist so if you buy JUST the exhaust then yes, you cut the existing OEM pipe and connect it together. If you buy either the single channel or EL midpipe, you select either straight or resonated AB pipes.
