That was an Amazon Flex driver, a person that takes their own car to deliver last minute packages. Amazon will not take responsibility for the accident at all
but they can Terminate Employment, if found liable for company damages to commercial property. And that includes complaints from their customers redressing their concerns.

@@Glum1964 those couriers are hires for 3rd party and reserved as not liable. Only complaints can be lodged against them, for damage of Commercial Property. That includes company time and "Proof of Damage". The couriers themselves could get thrown under the bus, by Amazon.

There are too many strange people looking to break into other peoples homes going around banging on doors and ringing the doorbells.
By saying that you see them and are calling the cops will get rid of them faster than anything else!
But NEVER tell them you are NOT home! Make them think you ARE home, and will take action if they keep trying to get in the house!
And if a porch pirate takes a package, say you have them recorded on video, and the cops will get the video!

For those who cover the camera when they walk up the camera catches your image soon as you walk up. You can’t change the way you walk,you can’t physical feature even if you hide your face, someone always recognizes you. I’ve been recognized by people who only saw the back of my head. 6:40 I had this kind of scam at my house. Some young guy, red cap, clipboard, came walking through my yard whistling, walked up to my front door, and immediately left. I grabbed my car keys to follow him, and he had already left the neighbor's front door. By the time I got in my car, I had lost him. He didn't appear to have a car, so how did he get there? Casing properties, and checking for security?
