OK, this should work.
All the plastic replaced except a short extension that should be sturdy enough.
Still wonder why GoPro doesn't produce a set that would include some of the stuff of the knock-offs, but in alu. Not as cheap, but sturdy.
Anyway the extended plastic linkages are history!
To facilitate loading and unloading the Hero 8 Black the ParaPace Mountain Bike Mount (amazon.ca) swivels farther away from the head tube.
The various brake and other cables are finally rerouted enough not to intrude in the frame.
The front tire gives a "relative speed" indication. ;)
