    Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to Let's Make Stuff. My friends and I are working on a DC fan film, and we were quite lost for costumes. Thanks to this channel, I was able to make an awesome Red Hood helmet, and currently working on an awesome Deathstroke helmet as well as the armour. Thanks man!

    AMAZING JOB MATE!
    I have questions, though...
    #1 - How can I tell which parts use which thickness of foam?
    #2 - Is Plasti Dip or Modge Podge necessary? And what is PVA?
    #3 - By contact adhesive do you mean Superglue, or will 3M Spray Adhesive do?
    Thanks
    AK

    • @LetsMakeCoolStuff
      @LetsMakeCoolStuff  8 лет назад

      1.Thick for the chest shoulder and shoulder guards thinner for the other parts and thinnest for the details. In the end its up to you nd what you can get your hands on.
      2.PVA is wood glue. it helps with sealing the foam before painting.
      3. by contact adhesive i mean contact cement or a strong glue a lot of people use barge which is good or a contact cement.

      You can add a longer piece of velcro on the sides and some elastic that should compensate for growth.

    im venturing into making my first cosplay! Greem Arrow Season 4 style.. so sleeveless, but with the soulder pads, and forearm things, and gloves! and as I've seen deathstroke in Arrow (Manu Bennit - im sure he was deathstroke) - it was perfect for me to be pointed in the right direction!! though I need to use the foam for the base pectorals, then sew in faux dark green leather over the top... thin foam though....... any pointers? :)
