    I wish Craig Kelly was still around to be part of this tour. This is the heart of snowboarding creating your own line and making the best of it. It’s all About Natural Selection. Big mountain experiences mixed with fluidity shook this field and the Audience. Congratulations to all the riders because they all killed it.

    Last comment: I'm sure TR enjoys winning, but he's really just furthering the sport. In the future, we'll look back and see that these contests took snowboarding to a new level. With riders from different backgrounds throwing down live on really challenging terrain.

    By its nature snowboarding and what's the best trick, line, flow is all subjective.
    The judges have to judge to a criteria of scoring, which they all judge individually, in their own opinions.
    This whole event since its original inception over 10 years ago in the Supernatural or whatever came before, plus the creation of Snowboard freeride porn and the complete elevation of the sport to a wider audience is incredible!
    To implement a Global multi stage internationally telivised sports competition, at elite level within an individual sport, from an idea, growing to what it is now is Simply Pioneering.
    The Olympics, Six Nations, World Cup, tour de france all team sports...
    The Isle of Man TT has synergies and I love both.
    In conclusion I think this entire Event and its competitors are all winners. Can you imagine actually doing what they've done?! Not a bloody chance!
    For what it's worth I've always been a massive Travis Fan, even have a Goldmember and the works Union Falcors!! That said last year I saw Torstien Horgmo hit some unbelievable lines with a laid back style similar to Nico.
    He rode well and I was routing for him this time, I haven't watched the heats as been working but sadly he's missed out. Sometimes that happens but it doesn't nean he's not an unbelievable rider. Look at the Duel with JJ, who is also a champ.
    Everyone smashed it... long may it continue.... Bring on ALASKA🤌

    A thought. They should consider getting a weekend warrior who is a good rider as a comparison against the pros. We could see him get cliffed, out, concussed, search and rescue, then the helicopter rescue, to REALLY appreciate how GNARLY these lines are.

    Being an organizer and a competitor at the same time is grandiose (and all props to TRICE for making this dream come true) but it is unfortunate for the competition. Competitions need to assure the judge's independence. Dustin didn't have that leverage on the judges. Otherwise great to see that NST finally moves to a non-man-made feature and more exposed terrain like FWT. Imho I missed more international riders, especially from other continents, America is over-represented. Anyways, great show, great riding and thanks for giving this to our community.

      Do you think the judges thought travis took bigger chances? More consequential lines?

    • @ronkerr5080
      @ronkerr5080 Год назад +3

      I disagree, especially when re-watching run 2 of the semis in detail. I'd go with 'Craven could have won it' vs 'absolutely robbed' as it was tight. Travis kept moving and threw more tricks, including a backflip (albeit with a lean back landing). Dustin took a crazier line but stopped for a long time (about 15 seconds total) and did less tricks overall. If you dive into the scoring system, extended pauses are punished more than imperfect landings as the scoring system is about flow and going for it. Travis 1st run of the final and Dustin's 2nd run of the semis went down almost the same section. Travis basically didn't stop and Dustin stopped a lot. He got punished for that.
      Personally, I'd rather see a format where they go with a top scored run from each round, reseeded into the next round. Under that format, Dustin would have had the 2nd best run in each round and made it to the finals, where he should have been as he was killing it too Travis had the top scored run in each round and deserved to win the event based on the runs we saw.

    • @PlaySA
      @PlaySA Год назад +2

      I think what happened is Craven kind of bumped his back a couple times and Travis was more clean. But I agree, in that case the scoring system sucked because everyone knows Dustin won. Blake Paul also got a weirdly low score for a sick run right before that, the commentators mentioned both of them.

      Cravens run in the semis had a bigger feature but Travis flow is unmatched

    • @ronkerr5080
      @ronkerr5080 Год назад +9

      @@jakerust1565 Disagree on 'robbed' as Dustin stopped at the top of that cliff line for a long time then stopped again after the first drop. Comp is about flow and going for it and TR took a less ambitious line but never stopped and even did a backflip off a feature. However, I think the head to head format makes the final less entertaining. If they went with a 'best run' vs 'average', and a seeded format vs bracket, the final would have been Dustin v Travis, which it should have been as the other riders weren't going for it like TR and DC.

Travis won this 1000% in any arena, gaged by any riders.

    This is a joke I watch this entire five hour segment on RUclips at the very end Zoe eats crow on a 720 and we know she didn’t recuperate from that so the drone blacks out because big corporate Burton said lets black the drone out and she lost the run, they didn’t even show her complete run after she ate it on the 720 but they gave her the win. THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW HER RUN, JUST 1 SUPER BOTCHED 720. This is total Snowboard corruption. I will never watch this contest ever again. I’m glad Travis Rice one, but man you need to form a new contests, because this thing is just a corruption toilet.

  • @maihitianu1425
    @maihitianu1425 Год назад

    I’m not watching this bullshit anymore. This is my last year watching - Zoe win that first round in the finals was not cool. She did 2 1/2 tricks Elena did 5 1/2 to 7. This is just Burton corruption. Super gay. I didn’t know the NFL corruption slipped over into snowboarding.
