Thank you matt for Forest, just wait till the new stand is done, we was going to move or at least thinking about it, but Marinakis knew what it meant to be next to the river, plus the bars and trent Bridge cricket, not to forget Notts County across the way, can't wait for the season to start
Yeah, it's been a long wait for Forest to get back to the Prem, your lot are gonna be relishing it. They'll be really loud, your fans will, it'll be great.
I had a full blown argument with someone on Facebook, the question for the post was "what was ur favourite away day?" altho I went to arsenal and Chelsea in the same season with forest I was bored within the first 10mins of being in there, I said Brentford (old ground) everywhere you looked there was so many memories, I imagined fans in flat caps smoking fags in the stands lol great atmosphere too and this guy told me I was lying because he assumed Arsenal is bigger and better, its not about the size or wow factor, it's the whole day plus what you get out of the stadium, I spoke to a steward and had a smoke with him at half time at brenford, I could of stayed there after the game and had a proper look round, great away day and fantastic fans
@@martynbarnett5963 there is a reason away fans call the Emirates the library, a lot of fans only know the PL those of us of a certain vintage remember Highbury, the North Bank and Clock end, The Boleyn or Upton Park, The Dell etc the new generic stadiums are nice but it takes years to build up memories and history. I am a Newcastle fan, my first game was in 63, still remember going up those stairs and seeing the pitch for the first time in the Gallowgate End, the smell of those 3rd world toilets. I'm a forest fan, if we don't get permission and the green light to start as soon as this season finishes then I think there's major major problems, personally I think it's to do with travel links and the council wanting forest to pay for more busses, or another thing I've heard is that the councils are concerned (even now) now that the forest fans walk on the road across trent Bridge, kicking cars because they pap their horn lol they have barriers up to stop cars hitting pedestrians so no point them being there, then you have 8k more fans to get out when it's built, going to be even more carnage. Let's hope it's sorted soon because we need it
@@martynbarnett5963 apparently negotiations for the redevelopment have been rapidly making a breakthrough since we went up. All parties want it to happen they just need to sort out things like the new boat house for the rowing club (which will need to be destroyed to build the new stand). The business opportunity and income having a premier league club in Nottingham is also amazing for the city, boosting tourism and people going to bars to watch the footy etc, so I doubt the small issues like fans walking home would prevent it as it seems like the pros outweigh the cons. Hopefully they get a deal done and start getting to work during the World Cup this winter.
@@zachbladen thanks for that, hopefully then things can get moving then, I only heard about that a few months ago about fans coming out, and it was someone who works for the council so who knows, plus there was talk about a new bridge but that would cost far too much
Old Trafford problems. Leaky roof. Bod press boxes. Rats in the lower concessions. Broken toilets. Low cold water pressure. None existant hot(warm) water on cold nights. Rusty trusses. Bad sight lines on third tier Sir Alex stand. Tight seating.
Far have I travelled and much have I seen Goodison, Anfield are places I've been Maine Road, Old Trafford still echo to the sound Of the boys in the red from the City Ground
We are lucky to have the best pitch at Watford, but for me the best ground is Anfield. Great atmosphere, great fans, and a pretty good pitch! Favourite ground is Aldershot. Great fans, super refreshments. Very, very friendly, and supremely welcoming!
Tbf crystal Palace fans deserve a better stadium, always loud. I've seen an upgrade on one of the stands with the curved glass roof by the look of it, I'm not a Palace fan but always thought it was a good away day

Generous. It is League Two or below. Away teams in the Premier League can send five thousand to away matches so Bournemouth is way too small to handle that.. or any European football.
Huddersfield Away is decent Matt. I went last season. I've seen a few people not rate it, there are a few flaws ect; there is no concorse but the view, and being right next to the Huddersfield fans makes it for atmosphere and it's quite a unique stadium 👍🏼
