I tend to forget for ships that modules are a thing. Extremely simple, but efficiency modules for example can lower obviously power drainage down to 20%. Solar panels will thank you, since solar density might be really low.
I was kinda hoping for more ship design tips, but those tips are useful as well. My design is completely different. I have three forward facing collectors that drop the resources into a loop. Because the loop gets overfilled and stalls I have a couple inserters that remove asteroids before it stalls. Then I have one of each type of crusher. Those go directly into the smelters and chemical plants. I don't bother storing ammo and just have a long belt that goes from the right side of my ship to the front and then to the left back side. The ship mostly has forward turrets (probably too many turrets) and two turrets on either side. But I'm wondering if I should just keep what I have or redesign. I think I'll just keep what I have until I find a reason to change it.
I will follow up on that topic once I have some freighters built and some more experience in building many several ships. I keep seeing SO many different designs and solutions out there, it's pretty amazing. Still working my way up the ladder though, Space Age is huge and I'm taking it as slow as I can afford ^^
Have rly the same ship design, just one inserter to drop asteroids out. i am absolutly happy with this design. Its fast, small and reliable. Have 3 of this ships and dont need to worry about them.
tesla towers.... dont go there without having tesla towers.... i learned the hard way by going to Gleba before even going to Fulgora, on death world mode :D felt like i was playing an RTS with how intense it was to continuously fight off the stompers. artillery is also very useful for taking out any egg rafts (nests) nearby
7:00 Maybe they're following real life? I assume as soon as you leave a planet's gravity, you're weightless. But then again, there's little to none friction in space either, so width shouldn't matter much either... who knows.
AND if your Cargo Landing pad gets full, anything delivered after that ends up on the ground outside like an exploding inventory. (Do you know how long it takes 50 early robots to pick up 5000 science packs....) Trust me you don't want to know. Make sure you have a method to unload your Cargo Landing Pad. 😏
And it's the construction bots, that do the clean up. That way I hard-locked a base once, because no bots where left to place chests, belts, or what not, that could have fixed the mess remotely.
Because I haven't built anything I'm convinced it's good enough to BP it in all honesty good sir. At least when it comes down to Space Age. Heck, even my advanced Oil Refinery that I could've blueprinted got improved on several occasions. Most of the time it's really my own perfectionism, can't talk for others.

Thanks really useful info, i still need to take gleba, this tech is totally game changer i will send tons of supplies there with me to be safe
Yeah, Gleba science is a massive stepping stone into many directions of the late game.

Good info, thanks

Oh yeah that one ... Yeah, that's important :D

Why don’t literally any factorio creators share blueprints? Seems the most basic and obvious thing to include in guides and it takes 5 seconds.

maybe try to build something yourself instead of just copy pasting? literally just play the game lol
Don't whine. There are sites that have blue prints. Find it instead of whining
