    Thanks for suggesting trying it out with less expensive tumblers first. I sure did bust through a couple of DT tumblers trying to get the right drill bit and position. 😅

    Hello- I just discovered your channel the other day ... poppy you have a great channel! My husband bought me a Cricut 2 Xmas ago and I legit cried like a baby when I opened it! So then I was soooooo afraid to mess it up or break it ( similar issue w sewing machine) that I didn’t use it at all... I was legitimately overwhelmed and afraid. Your channel is the first one I’ve come across that I can follow, not get bored, and feel like I can do projects. Thank you! I can report I’m up

    I wonder if you used a straw and put it in the hole or like cut the end of a straw at a diagonal so you could maybe put the funnel at the end of the straw and it will go directly in… I know that was a very long sentence LOL. Are used to be a pothead so I get very innovative when it comes to certain things🤗

      the dot she used to plug is 1/2". so probably something just smaller

      How did you do it before drilling? Everyone drills a hole but the lady I bought one from removed the whole bottom of the actual starbucks one, I’m trying to figure out if she heated the seal and then epoxy’ fit back when done or what

    Hi Kimberly, I have a quick question. I use vegetable glycerin just as you do to make my snow globe tumbler and I do a 1:1 ratio. But is it normal for the glitter to clump together? What do you recommend I do so that when the cup is shaken, the glitters would disperse. Thank you!

      I had the same problem I used Chucky glitter and it just floats to the top yet I did everything the same I don’t know where I went wrong

    Thanks for sharing, love the outcome. Each video I've seen has said to use equal parts of glycerin and water, any particular reason why you used different ratios?

      I found this particular ratio worked best for me! I did quite a bit of testing with different ratios. :)

    These are nice but you should degas to make sure you get the air out and to ensure your water is all the way to the top

      Supertite Fusion Tack glue is great, as well as e6000 or gorilla glue clear grip also work well

      From what I can tell it seems to be Hypo Cement. You can get it at hobby lobby

      @@yoanavlogs875 for the liquid mixture? I have actually tested the glycerine and it makes the glitter clump up a lot. I do one cup clear elmers glue and one cup water and it makes a really good flow and no clumping. You just have to mix well before putting it in the cup.

    Hi there. Thank you for sharing I have a question. The tumblers I ordered are frosted at the bottom. Like it's hard ti explain but it's not clear and glossy like the rest of tge tumbler. For some reason it's like a matte coating at the bottom and my question is would I still be able to drill the hole without shattering the tumbler since the box is textured?

      That's a good question! I drilled through a tumbler with a frosted bottom and it was a bit more fragile but still doable.

    Hi I’ve made one of these cups and I used half glycerin half water! After about a min or so all the glitter settles..what ratio of glycerin and water should I use to keep it floating longer?? Thank you so much

      Based on this video it’s 2 parts water 1 part glycerine.

      Hi Mikalotta, mine float for a good 5/10 min after shaking. I use 3 cups of. Glycerin and 1 cup of water! Hope this helps 😉

      Use chunky glitter! Fine glitter clumps!

      I've found that if I put a little glycerin mix in before the glitter it doesn't clump up. I also use a 50/50 ratio of water and glycerin with one drop of dawn to make it slick.

      @@heathersanchez6839 I tried added a little bit of the solution before hand but the glitter would stick to the liquid. I also had the same issue of the glitter clumping in the beginning and I used chunky and fine glitter. I guess I’m keeping that cup for myself! Lol.

      I can't remember the name but you can find it on the aisle with the rhinestones at the Hobby Lobby Craft store. That's where I bought the exact same glue pen.

      The Starbucks ones come straight from the Starbucks store. If you want clear ones without branding, JOANN sells them currently in a four pack.

    I can't get the hole to seal without leaking. I tried several Gorilla glue dots... was dry until put epoxy on it and then it leaked. Please help!

    How you do fix tumblers that leak from the top (by the area you screw the lid on)? Would it be the same process? I worry it might interfere with screwing on the lid.

    So I used a double wall tumbler from dollar tree and after putting in the water and closing the hole with resin it didn’t leak from the bottom. By it did start leaking from the rim of the cup, do you know why?

      From what I've heard the Dollar Tree ones have some holes in the top to allow the cup to breathe, so you would need to plug those.

    The link for the UV light goes to a nail UV light which doesn't look like what you are using. Any suggestions? All other handheld ones are double to triple the price.

    Do you ever have issues with the glitter dying the water? I used a bright pink glitter mix and after a week the water/glycerin turned pink.

      Usually it means there is too much air or the glitter is too fine, it works best with chunky glitter

      My chunky still sits at the top. I used a 50/50 ratio. Should I add more water. I haven't sealed it and I didn't use a ton of glitter

      @@annafarissmith24 try a ratio of 1/4 cup clear glue and 3/4 cup distilled water. Glycerin tends to make glitter clump together and is more likely to mold over time.

    The cheaper cups might crack while drilling but the Starbucks cups are better quality and most likely wont

    For some reason the glitter is all sticking together at the bottom and not floating around like yours, and when it does float it’s all stuck together . Any suggestions on what to do ?

      I had this problem too when I first started, make sure you're not using extra fine glitter, that tends to happen, and if you do use that kind use a little less and more of the chunkier one
