Excellent tutorial video. I used a clothing mannequin to form my shapes, but had trouble cutting them back off. Still worked. Just more work. I love you in in depth steps here. One of the few wire tutorials I've seen talk about how to actually connect the pieces. Great looking ghost. I'm just finishing my dancing couple ghost wire frames and will be coating white then using a glow in the dark coating on top. I've seen others shade random bottom portions in black too add a tattered or invisible look to the dress and legs that helps create a floating effect. Since nine will be slowing turning, might be good.
Thank you for this detailed video, I'm starting making my own ghost after my working weekend, hopefully I'm done before Halloween, but it can be used all year, with a flower instead of a head. Best regards fro Denmark
I’m almost done one, I been following all your steps. Excellent tutorial by the way. And yes I had to break out the paper towel for some of my cuts lol.
Superb video. I need to make a chicken wire upper torso and have never done anything like this before. The video was simple to follow with very clear instructions. Thank you.
I just saw " Voyage of Sinbad " and " Jason and the argonauts " both films with the skeletons of Ray Haryhausen, something eerie and special about those as well. Greetings, love the channel. Tom, Belgium.
I love this! I would love to make a full size boules player - ideally the player slightly bent over about to throw the ball. Any hints and tips greatly appreciated. New to chicken wire art so could be too great a challenge ..:
Very cool and easy to follow instructions, using the paper pieces to show what you were trying to do was a really clever way of doing it. I'm very tempted to make one myself...mostly to creep out my annoying neighbour hahahaha
Your ghost looked so bendable and easy and smooth . We tired making one but the wire was very difficult and not moldable . Are there different types of wires to use ? Ours didn’t go as smooth as yours did . The wire was just not pliable
There might be other kinds of wire. I know there are types that are squares or rectangles that use stiffer wire. This works best with the ‘standard’ (in the US) hexagon chicken wire.
When setting these up in a yard, do you want them further away or closer to where people are walking by? Also any recommendations on how to have them lit at night?
Further away is better because it tricks the eye more, but they also do well closer up. You can spray them with UV reactive paint (which can be clear or white). Then a small black light makes them pop! I think they are really most effective in the day time though.
This is amazing..I will try this weekend. Question: if I place a spot light or black light at the foot of it, would it “be visible” at night? I would think so but wondering if you tried it.
Thanks! One thing you can do is spray it with clear UV reactive paint and use a black light. It looks incredible at night. A normal spotlight could also be used if you don’t have UV paint - it’s better than nothing.
@@ImNotBoredImCreative so I made my ghost following your steps up until it came the arms. I made mine holding a candle. Then I made a ghost kitty. I wish I could share them cause they came out great.
It usually just sits there. We don’t get much wind. But I did eventually use little u shaped hooks that are used for drip irrigation to push down in a few places to secure it.
Utility gloves will help, but it’s not usually your hands and fingers that get poked or scrapped. It’s your arms and legs that get small cuts from the wire springing into you. I think the best protection you can reasonably do is long sleeves and jeans, gloves and eye protection like goggles.
I’m really glad someone is encouraging people to sculpt with wire, it is an amazing material!
I'd like to see it at night with a cool lighting

The paper model was brilliant to explain the skirt assembly
That looks way better than I expected.

Hi. I made the ghost. It's went very well, but it's not all straight 😂 I had to convert to centimeter. . I will try to make one better. Thank you
Congratulations! I bet it’s great even if it’s not straight. Now you have the idea, the next will be even better!
great tutorial, precise, clear and skilled
Thank you!

Awesome! And thanks! I have never made one without getting at least one cut or poke! Hahaha
I'm here because I've fallen in love with RUTH ASAWA sculptures and want one hanging in my home's entry... maybe a chicken wire DIY 😁 will have to do

Great job dude
Excellent tutorial narrated by Clint Eastwood
Thank you for this tutorial. We are going to start making some this weekend ❤
This looks really awesome. I'm going to try to make one tomorrow

Pretty badass. I dunno if I have the patience

They make good gloves for this kind of thing nowadays 😊
Your a very good instructor
Thanks so much!
Mind blowing!!
Do you think compound curves could be made by stretching the mesh inside a bowl? 🤔
Possibly! If you push it and pull it enough you can usually get it to do what ever you need.

Nice, I will definitelly try it. Thanks!
I never knew there was a trap version of Hungarian Rhapsody #2 by Franz Lizst... Until now🎹😅
I used your pattern to make ballerinas for my Nutcracker Suite Christmas display. Would love to send you pics.
I’d love to see them! If you have Instagram, you can tag me @ImNotBoredImCreative
Nice - she looks great
I only have the green colored one. Would that also work?
If you can cut it and bend it, it will work.

@@ImNotBoredImCreative got it I tagged you in my 2 recent posts. A daytime pic and a nighttime pic. Thanks again.
@@RaquelTruebahow did you keep them from falling over or getting knocked over? Did you do the spot light?
Super merci.. patience et pratique et beaucoup de bandages 😉😉
Love this, thanks for sharing
Hi. Do you ever use hog rings?
I haven’t ever used them. Seems like they would work fine if they close tight enough.
Amazing 👍🏻👍🏽👍
Great video! I might actually try making one of these. I live in San Jose CA and your yard sure looks like this area. Are you in Ca?
I am in CA. East Bay though.
Great video!
Thank you!
How do you have it attached to the ground?
It usually just sits there. We don’t get much wind. But I did eventually use little u shaped hooks that are used for drip irrigation to push down in a few places to secure it.
I want to tackle this project but not want any knicks and cuts, will utility work gloves help? Thnx 4 sharing.

Bonita la estela de la mujer❤
What the instrumental playing
Which one? All the music is from the RUclips audio library.
I'll be wearing gloves, other than that this is great!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✌✌✌✌✌✌
You should have showed her at night.
This kind of ghost is most effective during the day.
@@ImNotBoredImCreative what if you put an led light facing up inside her, where her feet would be
The skull ruined it...
I hate chicken wire. 😡🩸🩸
