We love you just as you are, Ami! Don’t care what you are wearing, or what is behind you, or how wild and crazy your kids are! They are adorable!
Thanks for this video! It’s the perfect message for today! I have heard all these tips before and know them well, but someone hearing you share them makes it so real and doable. It helps so much that you demonstrate these tips in your videos day after day. I’m a bit of a slow learner so it’s great to see what you are saying in action over and over. I have gained a couple pounds over the holiday and I am working to get it off. Thanks for sharing your story so honestly. ❤

I'm not Broccoli mum but you can absolutely do this. Keep in mind that this is actually Whole plant based foods. Ami has a lot of really great potato reset videos and those are what got me going on her youtube channel in the first place. She makes a video everyday, or almost everyday, so I would go and watch a video in the morning to get excited about eating Whole food plant based. It doesn't make sense that you can lose weight eating starches but it's true. The key for me is not to eat over the amount where I'm actually comfortably full, and to stop eating early enough in the evening.
It also takes a week or so for your taste buds to change, so be patient and stay the course. It's unbelievable how you start to actually taste your food.
      Good Luck!

Hi Broccoli Mum, you’ve been an inspiration for years, thank you for sharing your life. My tip is meal prep, I always have cooked potatoes, rice, or beans in the fridge, they’re fine for a few days. Chopped salad, prepared broccoli and cauliflower just ready to be cooked. It takes all the thinking out of your meals.

Yep, volume eater here as well. I think your online moniker says it all, "Broccoli Mum". But I like how you break down the adjectives (liike "moderation") into rea life examples and actual guideline numbers at times. Love the channel. Only one in the world with this particular type of focus.

    Hi Broccoli mum
Thank you so much for this content. While doing the 50 50 plate method, I still have cravings at night for some food, where I can really bite on. I used to eat lots of breads at night, yes, emotionally eating... Now, I still wake up, searching like a junkie for crunchy foods... Would be very thankful, if you have any recipe ideas... 🎉 All the best from Germany, Kat

Great video! Your advice is fantastic and science backed!
Hunger and fullness cues are everything!! If you’re not hungry enough to eat something boring you’re not hungry enough to eat something hyper palatable.
Abundance mindset goes super far! I tell myself, “there’s plenty more where that came from”, “I can always eat more later-even 5 minutes from now”, and “I can have as much as I need to feel satisfied”.

Totally agree on the sodium intake and keeping an eye on that if one wants the scale to move in the lower direction. But, just so readers realize, the recommended daily allowance is 2000 mgs of sodium daily. Extreme sodium reduction which is 500 mgs daily did have patients in the past move off their super hypertension back into range ( 90/60 to 119/79). But totally love high sodium/high fat foods.... but it's a balancing act as Ami is saying.

For others, if it gets overwhelming, it may help to work on adding only one new habit at a time (eg for several weeks). Whichever approach works for you, your heading in the right direction :) (Sorry if I sound like a know it all. I don't feel like one. Happy New Year Ami 🎉
Here's my "predicament" ..... not a volume eater nor snacker, I tend to only feel like eating dinner and at night..... I stop eating before I'm "stuffed" feeling, but then an hour or so later, I want to eat something else.... I'll have some baked sliced apples with raisins (or other fruits) and spices and a TINY bit of raw honey drizzled on for the baking process.....can I eat as much of the baked apples/fruits as I'd like without causing a weight gain? I'm only vaguely familiar with the starch solution principles, I do eat baked potatoes and sweet potatoes and all kinds of squashes..... I try to have a lot of salad when I have the produce on hand..... I recently did cabbage in the instant pot and it's divine! I could eat a whole cabbage at dinner with some roasted potatoes and carrots etc. Do you think this is a decent approach?
Thank you for your insights 🙏💕

All really good tips Ami thanks so very much BUT PLEASE-PLEASE could you speak more (a lot more) slowly 🙏 it's like a train running away. I really want to hear what you're saying but the SPEED you talk makes it SO-SO difficult to understand you .... Happy New Year to you and your sweet young family 🌟 ⭐
