I lost my favorite pet two days ago. My Walter was a greyhound rescue. A big but gentle soul. Timid and always afraid of others I remember one time I fell down my concrete steps and lay unconscious. He stood with me until the ambulance came. And even though he was terrified of strangers, he wouldn’t leave me. My heart is broken
I am so sorry Gail you lost your Walter and oh how he loved you to guard over you when you had fallen. I remember when my Cooper died and nothing could console me...for some reason, I wrote down a list of all the lessons Cooper had taught me....kindness...unconditional love and a sense of playfulness....a life without malice or anger and a new appreciation for eating peanut butter straight out of the jar...and for some reason, I felt better...then I looked at myself crying and I realized, Coper hated it when I cried...he would leave the room! Our dogs loved us and they wanted us to be happy....so it helped me get back on my feet...I wanted to do what my Coops wanted me to do.....my love to you and yours and God Bless Walter, may he rest in peace. xxoo Susan & Dez
I am so sorry for your loss Gail. I am tearing up as I’m writing this. My current dog is that for me. She is the best friend I have ever had and I mean EVER. She is with me thru the good and bad times and any adventure I might have. I cry with her and vent with her and dance with her and laugh with her. She is everything. She knows when I’m having a bad day health wise before I am willing to admit it. She is my BEST friend. She is always there for me. There is no way I could love her more She is having trouble walking and looks a little off lately and I am taking her to an orthopaedic specialist soon. I am praying it isn’t too serious. I absolutely cannot stand the thought of losing her. She is my Walter. And we only get one Walter in life. We have a lot of pets if we are lucky but not like our Walter. I am so sorry Gail. Please know that I am praying for you and I am giving you a big warm virtual hug right now. Your heart will heal of course and you will have all of your lovely memories like the one you shared. Maybe even another companion? It won’t be Walter but it might make you feel a little less sad. Take care of yourself ok? Stay healthy happy and safe 😊❤️🙏🏻
I'm so sorry your heart is broken. They just never live long enough. I am sure he is now your protector from another realm and if you sit real still you should be able to feel his love.
I'm so very sorry Gail. My deepest condolences. My world came crashing down when Gibbs, my retired racing greyhound, died this past February. He was my constant companion. As you shared your heartache & story of his loyalty to you it reminded me of when I fell & broke my ankle walking mine years ago and he seemed so frightened for me not leaving my side until help came. They are truly heaven sent, our angels. I miss my precious boy everyday & the thought of him passing there at vet's office tries to come in as I then grasp to our wonderful memories together instead and how happy we were. It's still very difficult. May your heart overflow with love greater than the pain. Your boy is running free on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Sending healing wishes. 💙🙏

Oh, Susan. I was in my kitchen making hot chocolate bombs and as you were telling your bike story. I stopped breathing when you got to the part of your grandfather’s first words. I know he meant the world to you. I am grateful you got to the second part quickly, because I might have passed out had you not! I often measure my words with my oldest granddaughter, because we are so incredibly close and I have noticed she seems to have a long, long memory when it comes to things I have told her. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of our reactions to those who love us so deeply.

There is a podcast called “Nothing much happens” that I listen to every night. Essentially it is bedtime stories for adults. The story teller has the MOST soothing voice and all her stories are “cozy”. She talks about, for example, a snow storm and looking out the window and making homemade soup and lighting a fire.. I have not yet made it through to the end of her stories. I always fall asleep before it is over. It works!!
O Dear God , losing a pet is heartbreaking I cried for months over my Bubba a beautiful chocolate lab . I really believe my dogs will be in heaven with me.
We just rescued a jack Russell from our humane society, named him Roscoe. What a bundle of energy, oh my goodness!!! But he is a love and so comical. I have a very old little dog. She is 17 jears old and now gets me up every two hours at night. Sleeping became difficult. Lilly is almost blind, her hearing is bad and she is autistic. I loved the fashion show. My house burnt down a few years back and I lost everything. I just don't want to shop anymore. When you spend a lifetime shopping and picking out special things and it all goes up in fire and smoke, I lost my desire. But you are making me feel maybe I should go shopping and pick out a few things, I think it is your attitude and enthusiasm!.
I never sleep in anything cute or fancy… Yes, I am single. You have motivated me to find some cute things to start sleeping in for myself. My dog is a ten pound WestiPoo. She will be two in February; she has brought me so much comfort during the year 2020.

We’ve had a schnauzer in our house for 40+ years.... our last girl Lizzie, who chose my husband as her favorite, died suddenly 2 weeks ago. It was shocking and heartbreaking... but for Lizzie we are happy it was a short illness... we still see her jumping on the boat, running like the wind, sleeping on the pillow above my sweetheart s pillow.... she was a great dog....

It is so difficult to lose a beloved animal companion, especially right before the holidays. I lost my sweet Buddy last year, 5 days before Xmas. I was so devastated that I let the celebrations slip by. So I send my sincere condolences. I now have a new cat, Troubadour, first black cat for me - I rescued him, after he was rejected by two families. He is the sweetest boy, and he ‘sings his thanks’, literally, every day. All our fur friends will be there on the Rainbow bridge waiting. Take comfort in knowing that you were/are truly loved by them.
I had to have my Morgan put to sleep with stomach cancer. She was almost 15. I haven't been able to get another dog, but when the time is right, I'll get a rescue dog. I was caring for my mom for almost 3 years in her home so was unable to have a dog, but the time will be right and I'll find another. My Morgan was Chow and so much fun. I really miss her. Hi Susan, 2020 has been a crazy year, but I still am grateful for every single moment. I recently adopted a rescue pup from Oklahoma and I live in California, I got lucky that my friend lives there and has a rescue and was able to bring the pup to me. Her name is Echo and has helped me stay busy training her etc.. instead of worrying and having anxiety about all the uncertainty about my job and daily events happening this year. She wakes up every morning ready to tackle the day jumping happy and playful and that makes me happy.
Hi Susan we have a rescue cat named Louie - he's fully grey, but I think he's a mixed breed. He's around 15 - 17 years old and a bit clumsy for a cat. It's not just age as he has always been clumsy - we've had him for about 8 years. He is VERY determined aka stubborn as a mule, when he wants something it has to be now - no matter what I'm doing at the time and will not be put off. Whether it's food or attention, he yells and makes his presence felt. He can be extremely affectionate or occasionally just grumpy, but we love him. I want to wish you the best of the season and hope you enjoy the holidays, even if you can't be with those you love. Thankfully Scotland has lifted restrictions enough that we can go to my mum's for xmas day, as I was worrying about her being alone. I'll be doing the cooking as normal, but just for less people than usual. x
You brought me to tears with your bicycle story. I could see how your sweet, young spirit was crushed when you got home late. You were so happy getting home on time according to your watch. Then you saw the look on your mom and grandpa’s face. Thankfully, your grandpa was understanding and believed you and realized your watch had stopped. But your heart was already broken. We never forget those hurtful times. But we can learn from them. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Most people, I believe are honest. And as Tim McGraw’s song says, “ALWAYS STAY HUMBLE AND KIND.”
I live in a senior's apartment and have a little chihuahua/papillion mix named Lola. She doesn't know that she is a small dog with a big and fearless personality! She brightens my days and I love her to bits. Unconditional love in a small package, that's my Lola.

I have 3 rescue dogs...... My first one is Willie who is now 17. He is a Schnauzer mix and the love of my life.... He isn't doing well. I have had him for 16 years. It was him and I for 7 years before I got my second dog Wyatt... He is a shelter rescue. He is a little terrier mix. He looks a bit like Desi.... He is 9 and I have had him for 8 years.... Last one on board is Belle.... She is a Shitzu/Poodle mix. She is 8 and I've had her for 7 years. Lots of work but I love them all so much. They are my little family!

My favorite pet is the sweetest chihuahua you ever met. Bless her heart, she is recovering from a major surgery on her leg right now and facing at least 6 weeks of recovery. We love our little “Ginger” so much.

I have always been a dog lover. I love all animals but dogs were always my passion and they still are. I was never attracted to cats, I like them but wound never dream of having one as a pet. They were cute from a distance. Five years ago after loosing my previous thirteen year old fox wire terrier Anakin (Annie) for short, I was devastated. One morning not long after I was awoken by my adults kids holder a tiny screaming kitty and asking me what to do. I knew nothing about cats, so he was taken to PetSmart where advised was given as to how care for him. He was four weeks all, he was filthy, spider webs all over him, riddle with fleas, and his tiny paws were burnt from the cement. Baby kitten formula was bought for him and he was feed immediately and taken to our vet for a check up. He was given flea treatment, later on we gave him a bath all fleas gone and feeling so clean he sleep the whole day. The rest of his test came out for ok and we started looking for a home for him. Today, his name is Boo and he holds my heart. He’s our beloved Prince. We still have two big dogs, who are loved and adored but Boo, is my shadow💕🐾
Jack Daniels, one of my 3 small dogs, I love them all but Jack is special. He waits for me when my husband is taking all of them outside and he won't go out till I stop what I am doing and go too. He warms my heart!

I have tried again and again to find a sweet dog, applied for cute rescue dogs because she was a Rescue and I Love her so much. There must be a reason, I am still searching, , waiting and nothing yet. Maybe next year my Puppy will meet me somehow. Thank you Susan, I always enjoy the connection on Saturday.
I lost my most precious pet Thanksgiving night as she lay at my feet in her little bed. Her kidneys had failed her but her heart and love for me kept her here longer than they should have. She suffered but I could tell from her eyes she didn't want to leave me. I had already made the hard decision to let her go the next day and I think she knew I was struggling with that decision so she saved me from having to do it. She will live forever in my heart. She was my best friend.
Lost my Triscuit a little over a week ago. He had kidney failure too! It broke my heart to put him down, but he was really suffering. When He looked up at me as the dr gave shot, I thought I would die. It was the hardest thing I've had to do. I'm glad you were spared although it isn't any easier and the loss is just as hard. Another beautiful video Susan! I lost my JRT Katie last year. She was a rescue, left at the shelter first for having a short leg, considered "defective", and a second time for being animal aggressive. But she loved people and she was perfect to us. I called her my little old lady dog and she was a loyal companion. I miss her every day. I'm so happy you and Desi found each other, you're both very lucky. Merry Christmas! 🎄

I have three dogs, Dexter, Earl & Scrappy. I picked out Dexter for myself. My daughter rescued Scrappy and wasn’t able to take care of him, so as you guessed, he’s now mine. Same with Earl. My son found him sitting under a tree while walking to class in college and couldn’t leave him & now he’s mine, too. They are the best! Doesn’t matter if I go to the mailbox or if I’m gone for a day or a week, they greet me the same way, with so much excitement and love!! They bring so much calm and joy to my life. Dogs have gotten me through so many chapters of my life. 💙💙💙
Rocco my cat means so much to my husband and I.He is a very sensitive cat.He is fifteen going on five.He has a little look on his face letting you know how he feels about every thing and even when he is not pleased with you. And that is always not spending enough time with him. He has a better life than most - he is red and has a temper to match. Still we get a kick out of him. I was with a friend who was trying to find a home for him.He just climbed up my jean pant leg and screamed in my face and let me know he was coming home with me. Love our Rocco!
I lost my beloved Cairn Terrier Scooby Thanksgiving day this year. He was 12 years and 5 mths. old. He was my everything. He got me through the death of my husband 10 years ago. Such a sweet and brave little dog. Myself and my neighbor and best friend were with him at the end. What a privilege it has been to have had him in my life. I still feel shattered but will remember the good times, and oh my there were so many.
I can so relate. I lost my beloved rescue black lab mix Merle to Lymphoma in June. Rarely a day goes by that my husband or I or both of us don’t cry. He was only 10. But I raised him from a tiny little puppy and I’ve never had children or even any brothers or sisters. I never saw my father after I was 5 and my mother died when I was 30. So Merle was my baby. His sister, our black rescue cat Pepper, really misses him too. Christmas without Merle is unimaginable. Please give Dezi a hug for me❤️. Susan, your story about getting home late- I was raised by my mother and Grandfather. That man was such a blessing!
Oh my favorite of all was my German Shorthaired Pointer, Billy. He was a rescue and was my faithful fur friend. He's been gone since 2012, and my heart still aches. Billy was more human than dog! The pain of losing such a dear champion is as raw now as it was all those years ago. Both my husband and I agree, I don't think we will ever have another dog, like our Billy Boy!

My dog Bougie almost seems like she was once a human, she has human eyes and a good spirit! When I cry she'll jump up beside me and lick my hand and lay in my lap. Once I went to sleep and I couldn't wake myself up, she jumped on the bed and kept nodging me to wake up! She's a smart girl and I love her!!! I pray you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year🥰

Susan, I always look so forward to each of your videos. The cape coat is absolutely beautiful and oh so classy. I loved it. I have had some very precious pets who I had for a very long time. Two extraordinarily sweet gentle bassetts who passed away from cancer and a stroke. Those were difficult times and then I found a precious kitten Samantha who lived to be 14. After she passed away my heart was so broken from the loss of these three special and very loved parts of my family that I can't bring myself to get another pet. I feel my heart can't take it. Our pets can mean the world to us can't they?
We Raised "3" Precious Maltese, over the Year's, Each one at Different Time's, so I Know HOW you Feel, after Losing Them.☹️ Please, I Hope that you Re-Consider Not to Get Another. Yes I they have meant so much to our families lives for sure. I just wanted to mention that we are going through similar feelings, we don't know if we can take another heart break like that again, we have our cat Rama, whom we love dearly, but we are concerned about getting Covid and being really sick, or hospitalized or dying, or being put in a place where we couldn't have our cat and hes feral and temperamental and who would understand and he will haul off and hit or bite, we don't want him abused. We also have always had dogs and our last furry baby doggie passed away a little over a year ago and we have flashbacks and a kind of ptsd about his dying and death poorly handled by the Dr.. we have so many emotions and we, as I said, don't know if we could handle another passing. Thank you sooooo much for your comment, be gentle with yourself, as we speak I am sending you so much love💞💝

I have the joy and pleasure of being a furbaby Mom to Izzi. She is our 5 pound 6 ounce longhair Chihuahua and I love her so much. She follows me all over the house and loves belly rubs and hugs. She is a joy!!
Thank you so much for sharing your heart and soul with us. We have had so many pets over the years. Currently we have a brindled mastiff/German shepherd that we adopted from the Humane Society. She is such a happy dog, and she just adds so much joy into our life. We also have a tabby cat that showed up at our door many years ago. Our kitty has cancer, but she is currently doing okay. Knowing that we don't have much more time with her just makes us appreciate every day that we have with her.
This was comfy, fun and enlightening. I’m having a rough week. Some things I am trying to figure out the root source. I have learned to always ask the question; What am I really feeling? And when I can see a glimpse of what it is.. I am learning to cradle that emotion like a baby. Loving kindness and speech, to myself helps. Relationships are still proving to be the schoolroom for me. So, My new homework this next week is to decrease the amount of attachment I am placing on the last couple years. The word “ vulnerability” and its meaning is feeling much to heavy anymore. So I am asking in my prayers to be new..... and Fresh, like a flower, and stable like the mountain. Still like the water and peaceful like space and To trust a little more. This loving speech my friends is feeling light and bright and beautiful. Many times I reach out and hold your hand Susan while you are speaking. Here is mine, for anyone who needs it too. A new pillow and some jammies sound yummy. I have several ponchos and I love them so much. My little Chuck, as you know passed 6 weeks ago. I have cried so much as I miss his company. This is the first time in 30 years without a pet in my life. For now.... I am kissing all the neighbors fur babies when I see them. I want to toast again all the great women here🌹and all the stories. We share so much together.
As always, Dezi is precious in his Christmas outfit. What a darling little boy he is. I know he gives you endless joy and company. We can tell how much he loves you, and you know, there’s almost nothing like the devotion, the pure devotion of a precious pet! I have four little rescue chihuahuas and they are so so so precious! We love them like our children, maybe even a little more! They’re certainly not as much trouble!! 🤣😏😜 We love our kiddos too!! We have Gracie, Lexi, Heidi, and Chrissie. Oh how lovely and sweet and apreciative they are that mommie and daddie chose them to come live here in our lovely, comfy home. They are loved, pampered and they really want for nothing. They all get dental once a year. They arent very happ about that but it sure keeps their little mouths healthy and thus, their hearts and the rest of them. We cherish our little girls just like you do your precious little Dezi boy! What would we do without our fur babies??

Getting a new Australian Shepherd puppy tomorrow. I’m in central Indiana and work nights. When I get off work in the morning we are making the five hour drive to Michigan to pick him up. We are beyond excited! We have been waiting for him for 9 long weeks!

Thank you for all your stories when you were growing up. The green stamps .... brought back a memory I had totally forgotten about. I remembered my mother saving those stamps and my sister and I would help her put them in her book. Cant remember what she was saving for but oh my, what a memory. I must tell my daughter about the green stamps. I have 2 dogs, my best friends, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Mario and Luigi, love them so much, they make me happy everyday. Our pet at this moment is a huge Newfoundland, appropriately named "Harry". He has softened the heart of my husband, who was adamant that we "weren't getting a dog!" They have become inseparable and are constantly together, whether tinkering around outside, or laying by the fireplace in the evening. I often smile to myself, because I can clearly see that this big, drooling hairball has filled some empty space in our hearts, and I am forever grateful!
My best friend is my 4 year old shih tzu boy, Ming. He is my love. My Aunt Jenny used to wear the cowl neck and cape jackets and coats like your new ones. Omg, reminds me so much of her. She passed away 5 years ago. I miss her. She was so sophisticated and beautiful. Thanks for the video. I am going to find myself some pretty nighties, since I do not go anywhere. My Aunt used to have Christmas eve parties every year. There were 40 to 50 guests and we got so dressed up. I cannot believe how life has changed. Desi is so beautiful.

I lost my favorite pet two days ago. My Walter was a greyhound rescue. A big but gentle soul. Timid and always afraid of others I remember one time I fell down my concrete steps and lay unconscious. He stood with me until the ambulance came. And even though he was terrified of strangers, he wouldn’t leave me. My heart is broken
I am so sorry Gail you lost your Walter and oh how he loved you to guard over you when you had fallen. I remember when my Cooper died and nothing could console me...for some reason, I wrote down a list of all the lessons Cooper had taught me....kindness...unconditional love and a sense of playfulness....a life without malice or anger and a new appreciation for eating peanut butter straight out of the jar...and for some reason, I felt better...then I looked at myself crying and I realized, Coper hated it when I cried...he would leave the room! Our dogs loved us and they wanted us to be happy....so it helped me get back on my feet...I wanted to do what my Coops wanted me to do.....my love to you and yours and God Bless Walter, may he rest in peace. xxoo Susan & Dez
I am so sorry for your loss Gail. I am tearing up as I’m writing this. My current dog is that for me. She is the best friend I have ever had and I mean EVER. She is with me thru the good and bad times and any adventure I might have. I cry with her and vent with her and dance with her and laugh with her. She is everything. She knows when I’m having a bad day health wise before I am willing to admit it. She is my BEST friend. She is always there for me. There is no way I could love her more She is having trouble walking and looks a little off lately and I am taking her to an orthopaedic specialist soon. I am praying it isn’t too serious. I absolutely cannot stand the thought of losing her. She is my Walter. And we only get one Walter in life. We have a lot of pets if we are lucky but not like our Walter. I am so sorry Gail. Please know that I am praying for you and I am giving you a big warm virtual hug right now. Your heart will heal of course and you will have all of your lovely memories like the one you shared. Maybe even another companion? It won’t be Walter but it might make you feel a little less sad. Take care of yourself ok? Stay healthy happy and safe 😊❤️🙏🏻

I'm so very sorry Gail. My deepest condolences. My world came crashing down when Gibbs, my retired racing greyhound, died this past February. He was my constant companion. As you shared your heartache & story of his loyalty to you it reminded me of when I fell & broke my ankle walking mine years ago and he seemed so frightened for me not leaving my side until help came. They are truly heaven sent, our angels. I miss my precious boy everyday & the thought of him passing there at vet's office tries to come in as I then grasp to our wonderful memories together instead and how happy we were. It's still very difficult. May your heart overflow with love greater than the pain. Your boy is running free on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Sending healing wishes. 💙🙏

I know he meant the world to you. I am grateful you got to the second part quickly, because I might have passed out had you not! I often measure my words with my oldest granddaughter, because we are so incredibly close and I have noticed she seems to have a long, long memory when it comes to things I have told her. There is a podcast called “Nothing much happens” that I listen to every night. Essentially it is bedtime stories for adults. The story teller has the MOST soothing voice and all her stories are “cozy”. She talks about, for example, a snow storm and looking out the window and making homemade soup and lighting a fire.. I have not yet made it through to the end of her stories. I always fall asleep before it is over. It works!!

I have a very old little dog. She is 17 jears old and now gets me up every two hours at night. Sleeping became difficult. Lilly is almost blind, her hearing is bad and she is autistic. Still, I can not put her asleep. (sorry, I'm german and my spelling is not the best). So much, to not being able to sleep at night.

It was shocking and heartbreaking... but for Lizzie we are happy it was a short illness... we still see her jumping on the boat, running like the wind, sleeping on the pillow above my sweetheart s pillow.... she was a great dog....

It is so difficult to lose a beloved animal companion, especially right before the holidays. I lost my sweet Buddy last year, 5 days before Xmas. I was so devastated that I let the celebrations slip by. So I send my sincere condolences. I now have a new cat, Troubadour, first black cat for me - I rescued him, after he was rejected by two families. He is the sweetest boy, and he ‘sings his thanks’, literally, every day. All our fur friends will be there on the Rainbow bridge waiting. Take comfort in knowing that you were/are truly loved by them.
I had to have my Morgan put to sleep with stomach cancer. She was almost 15. I haven't been able to get another dog, but when the time is right, I'll get a rescue dog. I was caring for my mom for almost 3 years in her home so was unable to have a dog, but the time will be right and I'll find another. My Morgan was Chow and so much fun. I really miss her. Hi Susan, 2020 has been a crazy year, but I still am grateful for every single moment. I recently adopted a rescue pup from Oklahoma and I live in California, I got lucky that my friend lives there and has a rescue and was able to bring the pup to me. Her name is Echo and has helped me stay busy training her etc.. instead of worrying and having anxiety about all the uncertainty about my job and daily events happening this year. She wakes up every morning ready to tackle the day jumping happy and playful and that makes me happy.
My cat is named Motown the Mocat Mahoney...a feral cat my daughter couldn’t keep and gave to me to care for. She’s a trip.

Hi Susan we have a rescue cat named Louie - he's fully grey, but I think he's a mixed breed. He's around 15 - 17 years old and a bit clumsy for a cat. It's not just age as he has always been clumsy - we've had him for about 8 years. He is VERY determined aka stubborn as a mule, when he wants something it has to be now - no matter what I'm doing at the time and will not be put off. Whether it's food or attention, he yells and makes his presence felt. He can be extremely affectionate or occasionally just grumpy, but we love him.
I want to wish you the best of the season and hope you enjoy the holidays, even if you can't be with those you love. Thankfully Scotland has lifted restrictions enough that we can go to my mum's for xmas day, as I was worrying about her being alone. I'll be doing the cooking as normal, but just for less people than usual. x
You brought me to tears with your bicycle story. I could see how your sweet, young spirit was crushed when you got home late. You were so happy getting home on time according to your watch. Then you saw the look on your mom and grandpa’s face. Thankfully, your grandpa was understanding and believed you and realized your watch had stopped. But your heart was already broken. We never forget those hurtful times. But we can learn from them. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Most people, I believe are honest. And as Tim McGraw’s song says, “ALWAYS STAY HUMBLE AND KIND.”
I live in a senior's apartment and have a little chihuahua/papillion mix named Lola.
She doesn't know that she is a small dog with a big and fearless personality! She brightens my days and I love her to bits. Unconditional love in a small package, that's my Lola.
I have my mom's cat, Ronnie. My mom died 2 yrs ago of end stage dementia. I miss her so much, but this little cat brings me such comfort.

I have 3 rescue dogs...... My first one is Willie who is now 17. He is a Schnauzer mix and the love of my life.... He isn't doing well. I have had him for 16 years. It was him and I for 7 years before I got my second dog Wyatt... He is a shelter rescue. He is a little terrier mix. He looks a bit like Desi.... He is 9 and I have had him for 8 years.... Last one on board is Belle.... She is a Shitzu/Poodle mix. She is 8 and I've had her for 7 years. Lots of work but I love them all so much. They are my little family!

My favorite pet is the sweetest chihuahua you ever met. Bless her heart, she is recovering from a major surgery on her leg right now and facing at least 6 weeks of recovery. We love our little “Ginger” so much.
You're a lucky lady to look so physically well and pretty at your age. You're lucky to have a sweet and be able to take care of such a sweet pet. You're lucky to have such a nice apartment and have the energy to keep it so nice. Stay healthy and don't allow yourself to be sad for even a moment.
I have always been a dog lover. I love all animals but dogs were always my passion and they still are. I was never attracted to cats, I like them but wound never dream of having one as a pet. They were cute from a distance. Five years ago after loosing my previous thirteen year old fox wire terrier Anakin (Annie) for short, I was devastated. One morning not long after I was awoken by my adults kids holder a tiny screaming kitty and asking me what to do. I knew nothing about cats, so he was taken to PetSmart where advised was given as to how care for him. He was four weeks all, he was filthy, spider webs all over him, riddle with fleas, and his tiny paws were burnt from the cement. Baby kitten formula was bought for him and he was feed immediately and taken to our vet for a check up. He was given flea treatment, later on we gave him a bath all fleas gone and feeling so clean he sleep the whole day. The rest of his test came out for ok and we started looking for a home for him. Today, his name is Boo and he holds my heart. He’s our beloved Prince. We still have two big dogs, who are loved and adored but Boo, is my shadow💕🐾
Jack Daniels, one of my 3 small dogs, I love them all but Jack is special. He waits for me when my husband is taking all of them outside and he won't go out till I stop what I am doing and go too. He warms my heart!

I have tried again and again to find a sweet dog, applied for cute rescue dogs because she was a Rescue and I Love her so much. There must be a reason, I am still searching, , waiting and nothing yet. Maybe next year my Puppy will meet me somehow. Thank you Susan, I always enjoy the connection on Saturday.
I lost my most precious pet Thanksgiving night as she lay at my feet in her little bed. Her kidneys had failed her but her heart and love for me kept her here longer than they should have. She suffered but I could tell from her eyes she didn't want to leave me. I had already made the hard decision to let her go the next day and I think she knew I was struggling with that decision so she saved me from having to do it. She will live forever in my heart. She was my best friend.

Lost my Triscuit a little over a week ago. He had kidney failure too! It broke my heart to put him down, but he was really suffering. When He looked up at me as the dr gave shot, I thought I would die. It was the hardest thing I've had to do. I'm glad you were spared although it isn't any easier and the loss is just as hard. She was a rescue, left at the shelter first for having a short leg, considered "defective", and a second time for being animal aggressive. But she loved people and she was perfect to us. I have three dogs, Dexter, Earl & Scrappy. I picked out Dexter for myself. My daughter rescued Scrappy and wasn’t able to take care of him, so as you guessed, he’s now mine. Same with Earl. My son found him sitting under a tree while walking to class in college and couldn’t leave him & now he’s mine, too. They are the best! Doesn’t matter if I go to the mailbox or if I’m gone for a day or a week, they greet me the same way, with so much excitement and love!! They bring so much calm and joy to my life. Dogs have gotten me through so many chapters of my life. 💙💙💙

I have four cats and they are all my favorites. They all have such distinct personalities.
Rocco my cat means so much to my husband and I.He is a very sensitive cat.He is fifteen going on five.He has a little look on his face letting you know how he feels about every thing and even when he is not pleased with you. And that is always not spending enough time with him. He has a better life than most - he is red and has a temper to match. Still we get a kick out of him. I was with a friend who was trying to find a home for him.He just climbed up my jean pant leg and screamed in my face and let me know he was coming home with me. Love our Rocco!

I lost my beloved Cairn Terrier Scooby Thanksgiving day this year. He was 12 years and 5 mths. old. He was my everything. He got me through the death of my husband 10 years ago. Such a sweet and brave little dog. Myself and my neighbor and best friend were with him at the end. What a privilege it has been to have had him in my life. I still feel shattered but will remember the good times, and oh my there were so many.

I can so relate. I lost my beloved rescue black lab mix Merle to Lymphoma in June. Rarely a day goes by that my husband or I or both of us don’t cry. He was only 10. But I raised him from a tiny little puppy and I’ve never had children or even any brothers or sisters. I never saw my father after I was 5 and my mother died when I was 30. So Merle was my baby. His sister, our black rescue cat Pepper, really misses him too. Christmas without Merle is unimaginable. Please give Dezi a hug for me❤️. Susan, your story about getting home late- I was raised by my mother and Grandfather. That man was such a blessing!
Oh my favorite of all was my German Shorthaired Pointer, Billy. He was a rescue and was my faithful fur friend. He's been gone since 2012, and my heart still aches. Billy was more human than dog! The pain of losing such a dear champion is as raw now as it was all those years ago. Both my husband and I agree, I don't think we will ever have another dog, like our Billy Boy!
Your sweetest Desi is the most loved pooch by you that i ever have seen ,you can see it in his beautiful eyes - how content he is- lucky baby-- please show him more , and always.

My dog Bougie almost seems like she was once a human, she has human eyes and a good spirit! When I cry she'll jump up beside me and lick my hand and lay in my lap. Once I went to sleep and I couldn't wake myself up, she jumped on the bed and kept nodging me to wake up! She's a smart girl and I love her!!! I pray you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year🥰

Susan, I always look so forward to each of your videos. The cape coat is absolutely beautiful and oh so classy. I loved it. I have had some very precious pets who I had for a very long time. Two extraordinarily sweet gentle bassetts who passed away from cancer and a stroke. Those were difficult times and then I found a precious kitten Samantha who lived to be 14. After she passed away my heart was so broken from the loss of these three special and very loved parts of my family that I can't bring myself to get another pet. I feel my heart can't take it. Our pets can mean the world to us can't they?
We Raised "3" Precious Maltese, over the Year's, Each one at Different Time's, so I Know HOW you Feel, after Losing Them.☹️ Please, I Hope that you Re-Consider Not to Get Another. They Put So Much Joy & Happiness, Into Your Home. I think They Help us to also BE Healthier, in several way's, as well.The Shelter's are Full, and it would BE Saving a Precious LIFE, Literally. After a Few Day's, They are Put to Sleep Permanently. ☹️ Have a Good Christmas. ✳️🌹✳️
Yes I they have meant so much to our families lives for sure. I just wanted to mention that we are going through similar feelings, we don't know if we can take another heart break like that again, we have our cat Rama, whom we love dearly, but we are concerned about getting Covid and being really sick, or hospitalized or dying, or being put in a place where we couldn't have our cat and hes feral and temperamental and who would understand and he will haul off and hit or bite, we don't want him abused. We also have always had dogs and our last furry baby doggie passed away a little over a year ago and we have flashbacks and a kind of ptsd about his dying and death poorly handled by the Dr.. we have so many emotions and we, as I said, don't know if we could handle another passing. Thank you sooooo much for your comment, be gentle with yourself, as we speak I am sending you so much love💞💝

I have the joy and pleasure of being a furbaby Mom to Izzi. She is our 5 pound 6 ounce longhair Chihuahua and I love her so much. She follows me all over the house and loves belly rubs and hugs. She is a joy!!
Thank you so much for sharing your heart and soul with us. We have had so many pets over the years. Currently we have a brindled mastiff/German shepherd that we adopted from the Humane Society. She is such a happy dog, and she just adds so much joy into our life. We also have a tabby cat that showed up at our door many years ago. Our kitty has cancer, but she is currently doing okay. Knowing that we don't have much more time with her just makes us appreciate every day that we have with her.

As always, Dezi is precious in his Christmas outfit. What a darling little boy he is. I know he gives you endless joy and company. We can tell how much he loves you, and you know, there’s almost nothing like the devotion, the pure devotion of a precious pet! I have four little rescue chihuahuas and they are so so so precious! We love them like our children, maybe even a little more! They’re certainly not as much trouble!! 🤣😏😜 We love our kiddos too!!
We have Gracie, Lexi, Heidi, and Chrissie. Oh how lovely and sweet and apreciative they are that mommie and daddie chose them to come live here in our lovely, comfy home. They are loved, pampered and they really want for nothing. They all get dental once a year. They arent very happ about that but it sure keeps their little mouths healthy and thus, their hearts and the rest of them. We cherish our little girls just like you do your precious little Dezi boy! What would we do without our fur babies??

All my dear friends and family have passed away and now the only dear friend I have left is in the hospital recovery from a massive stroke who lives in another state. Getting a new Australian Shepherd puppy tomorrow. I’m in central Indiana and work nights. When I get off work in the morning we are making the five hour drive to Michigan to pick him up. We are beyond excited! We have been waiting for him for 9 long weeks!

Thank you for all your stories when you were growing up. The green stamps .... brought back a memory I had totally forgotten about. I remembered my mother saving those stamps and my sister and I would help her put them in her book. Cant remember what she was saving for but oh my, what a memory. I must tell my daughter about the green stamps. I have 2 dogs, my best friends, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Mario and Luigi, love them so much, they make me happy everyday. Our pet at this moment is a huge Newfoundland, appropriately named "Harry". He has softened the heart of my husband, who was adamant that we "weren't getting a dog!" They have become inseparable and are constantly together, whether tinkering around outside, or laying by the fireplace in the evening. I often smile to myself, because I can clearly see that this big, drooling hairball has filled some empty space in our hearts, and I am forever grateful!
My best friend is my 4 year old shih tzu boy, Ming. He is my love. My Aunt Jenny used to wear the cowl neck and cape jackets and coats like your new ones. Omg, reminds me so much of her. She passed away 5 years ago. I miss her. She was so sophisticated and beautiful. Thanks for the video. I am going to find myself some pretty nighties, since I do not go anywhere. My Aunt used to have Christmas eve parties every year. There were 40 to 50 guests and we got so dressed up. I cannot believe how life has changed. Desi is so beautiful.
