Just hoping he doesn’t turn into the modern day Yao Ming, but starting to play basketball later on in life may make it so that he doesn’t have that much wear and tear on his body. Edit: just realized that Edey’s mom is Chinese, this better not be me jinxing it.
I think the team that has had the most unexpected rise is the Rockets. Especially in the Western conference, the Rockets are breaking out and after last night, are only one win away from the 1st seed! 🤯 It feels unreal to say that. Just 2 years ago, they won 22 games! Now they’re title contenders! 🚀🔥
I do not beleive that the Rockets are a true playoff team, just because they don't have that one star to carry them in the clutch and get buckets in playoff basketball, but they are very good and have a great future. Good coach, a million picks, all young players, and terrifyingly dangerous defensive depth.
As a rockets fan as much as I love my team we aren’t title contenders yet I think at best we are a second round team at best and we are a team nobody would want to face in the playoffs due to how legit our defense is
Man, you guys have come a long way since 2022. Can't believe that by the end of the season this will be 3rd full year on youtube. Always watching, great stuff.
We need to see how they fair against those contender level teams. Right now they are bottom feeding, but by The end of January, they will have some tough games against teams that aren’t in the Cooper Flagg Sweepstakes.
As a fan im not jumping to conclusions either a 20 pt comeback against the pacers is prolly their best win thus far well have to see what they look like against mavs and warriors coming up
Grizzlies have had their last 6 wins come against losing teams like the 76ers, Bulls, pelicans, pistons, pacers, and Trailblazers. Even their wins against teams like the Magic, Lakers, or Nuggets occurred because of circumstances like star injury or a home-road back to back for the opposing team. While I am relieved that the Grizzlies are finding a groove after last season, they are still adjusting and I worry that nba coverage is gonna turn harsh real fast once their schedule gets harder.
Nobodies trying to hear that since the grizzlies have yet to have a healthy team. GG Jackson and vwj haven’t even played! All of their losses came with bane Ja or both injured.
I always considered last season for the Grizzlies to be payback for all the stunts they pulled in 2023. Sometimes that's all you need to get rid of the bad mojo.
Team seems good. Edey is playing better than I could have ever expected. Ja is great. I'm wondering if a healthy Marcus smart can be a force on defense like before.
Yeah it’ll be weird but they’re gonna have to, Seattle and Vegas are in the west. I don’t even know what hypothetical east city should get a team, Louisville or Baltimore
@@CheepsAhoy69 Could be something like Kansas City in Missouri, As there was a team in Kansas City at one point (the Sacremento Kings), but it's probably gonna be Seattle and Las Vegas or Mexico City and Las Vegas for the next two expansion teams.
To be honest I’m a huge fan of this team but I feel like their problem is that they rely too much on Ja. They need a more reliable second option. Not a superstar but like a Jamal Murray type player for times when Ja is not on the court.
What do you mean? have u been watching, the grizzlies were 6-4 without ja, they play better as a team when it comes to passing and getting everybody involved in the offensive side without him. They dont rely on ja
thats what desmond bane was supposed to be this season but injuries are messing him up. I'm still faithful though because i know he puts too much work in and its just a bad stretch, won't be surprised after seeing him average 25 ppg outta nowhere for couple weeks
Since the Timberwolves are "soft as hell" right now, the Grizzlies can have just as much if not more success than they did in 2022. Obviously, the Nuggets are still the biggest challenge with the Warriors not far behind, but the Grizzlies can definitely make a name for themselves this season.
Why do teams like the Cavs, Rockets and OKC get a pass but the grizzlies you question? None of those current rosters have gone past the second round let alone the first round in playoffs, but people are “all in” on those teams except the grizzlies? Small team bias BS like usual
Ja will be traded after this season. They will rebuild around another player. Ja is not even better than Westbrook. He will have an average career. Player like that is better off as option 2.
Another banger to watch while I eat lunch

so real
Grit and Grind Grizzlies are one of my favorite teams of all time.
That era was so goated
Those Grizzlies would have made the finals if they had superstar-level player on their team.
@@ShadowThe771I think if they had a shooter like Bane they would have won it all
Yeah I'm a very happy Grizzlies fan.
Same here mane! I knew it was only a matter of time.
We deserved this after a very rough season😭
I don't understand how people are suprised about a 7'4 dude who only started playing basketball when he was 16 still getting better
Just hoping he doesn’t turn into the modern day Yao Ming, but starting to play basketball later on in life may make it so that he doesn’t have that much wear and tear on his body.

@@finneganmurray7331you haven’t been watching the rockets then.
The Rockets finished last season at .500, so it was not crazy to assume that they would take another step forward.

they retooled the majority of their supporting cast in like 2 years... frankly remarkable stuff
finally we get some respect
As a Memphian I’m hyped af.
Yesssirrrrrr a Grizzlies video🔥🔥🔥
I'm still not convinced about this team.
agreed. The talent is there - but the reliability and maturity is not.
Grizzlies are such a solid team

This guy’s “fears” about the grizzlies regression, Edey draft and Morant are exactly why RUclipsrs aren’t real sports analysts 😂.
Shoutout to the Dorktown music in the background. Kept waiting for a chart to show up lol
I love you guys mane!!!

NBA need to sent the Grizzlies to the East when the expansion happens, it's unfair the West is so stacked

Them Vancouver throwbacks 🔥af they gotta retro the black ones for the 35th anniversary then my set will be complete
Finally some love going the grizz way, i couldn’t be any happier 🐻〽️
2019 ncaa champion jay huff mentioned 🔥
My rockets deserve some love
I trust mephis so much i put them at 3 in the west. I mean my predictions are terrible af, but rn i have hope for them.

4:02 😍😍😍
It’s crazy that the Southwestern division has the rockets,Mavs, grizzlies, okc and the pels has to be the best division in basketball
Spurs, not okc
Could ja wick survive 5 nights at diddy’s?
I’m not convinced THIS year, but next year might be their time.
If they make noise in the playoffs then I’ll believe that they’re back
Grizz Rockets and Thunder top three teams in the west all young too. West only getting stronger😭

RAHHHHHH - a grizzlies fan
Where is the Yuki love?
the fall off for the grizzlies after this video will be legendary
They are incredibly talented but that is their MO let's wait until they actually do something.
They still got some growing up to do. And Zach Edey is still a rookie so I'd give them some more time.
Do a video on the Houston rockets please
Not to mention gg jackson and vince williams not being back yet
3:47 Is that a Wemby reference?
They're already a super deep team and that's without G.G. Jackson and Vince Williams too
4:02, the two white guys gave me a jumpscare.
I want the final of the west to be Grizzlies vs Timberwolves so the media calls it “the Furry Bowl”
I've been saying that the lakers shouldkeep him now look at him thriving
